A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

Aaron finished writing his name as students started to move into his class. He set the marker down, turning back to his desk to take his seat and wait for the bell. They had a few minutes, and he wasn’t rushing them. On the wall, “BIOLOGY II” was written, indicating what he would be teaching.
By the door, a stay of books was there. They would be able to grab one if some forgot to pick it up at the library or check one out from the store. A few had and used that resource. He would write down a few notes to himself, preparing the papers that he would hand out. Once the bell rang, he would walk over and close the door before heading back to the front of the class. He wore a button up shirt, tie, and slacks with a black belt. His hair was relative to his outfit, combed and clean. He gave a big smile, a ton of kids talking. They would quiet, for the most part, as he spoke.
“Alright, class, settle down a bit. My name is Mr. Hollows, I’m your bio teacher. Now, I’m pleased so many turned out this late in the summer school year. Being that this is an early entry class, it will be carrying over into the main school year as you already know. There will be tests, assignments and a trip or two that we’ll be taking- I expect participation and respect once you walk through that door. Does anyone have questions before we begin?”
He always wanted to ask that question, so he could single out who would be the cocky little upstarts, and who would actually act like the students they were.

Lyric, being the good student he was, was going to class. He was quite interested in biology, after all he liked any S.T.E.M. subject. As he came into the room he saw not many people were there, they could be late? Anyways he took a seat in the middle, got out his phone, and started to type up some notes and code into it.
As the class filled up and the teacher started, Lyric continued to be on his phone. He wasn't looking at the teacher, but being the awesome multitasker he was, he sure was listening. When the teacher wanted questions he just said one that could have been not said, but he would anyways. "May I use my cell in class? I'll make sure to listen." He smiled adorably and if someone looked at the roster, his gender was missing from it. Template by Kuroya of THQ & GS.

Bee was there, naturally, and actually...looking excited. Despite her ribs giving her issues, she was sitting straight and tall...but she did shift enough to flip one leg over her other beneath the small desk and hook her foot against the leg.
He cleaned up really good; last year he was wearing jeans and a wife-beater, so, this was a pretty big step. She thought he looked great and would be fantastic.
She had her book, pens, papers, et all, and would raise her hand.
Once Mr. Hollows nodded at her (gosh it was weird to think of him as Mr. Hollows) she would ask her question: "Where is our first trip?"

☺ THIS CLASS.... I WONT FAIL YOU ❝ Now biology was something Zoe could groove too. She had already taken the course in middle school, but since 552 didn't have the science course she needed, they had shoved her back into the class. Not that she minded. Zoe loved science- it was her favorite subject aside from music, and even then, she was finding herself liking science more recently. As the teacher entered, Zoe blinked. He looked... actually friendly and not the weird type of friendly like Arose.
When he spoke, Zoe would sigh with relief. He seemed normal too. Could it be, a normal teacher at 552?! As he asked if anyone had questions, Zoe blinked at the first one she heard. He wanted to use his cellphone in class!? How rude! She'd huff silently as she looked down, clearly annoyed. The other would then ask when their first trip was. Zoe blinked, cocking a brow. She wasn't too sure that 552 students were allowed to take field trips. After all, this school was supposed to be a punishment. Finally, Zoe would raise her hand and ask in a very serious tone.
”How do you feel about protozoa?”

Teufel hobbled his way to class, in crutches, leg braces and the two black antlers permanently melded to his head now that he had become a cripple, minus the antlers, which had always been there before the incident. He particularly liked science because so many teachers at his old school suggested he sold himself to science, that always made him smile, even if they actually meant it.
Teufel entered the room a few minutes early, managed to grab a book and a seat near the middle/front, but not near the window, which was conviently saved for the anime protagonist . Reading the name up on the board and smiling. He was going to look forward to this class.
When the bell rang and class started, Teufel sat up straight and listened to the first three question. Phones, field trips and Protozoa, all seemingly rational questions. Teufel raised his hand ignoring any possible stares in his direction and would ask his question if called on.
"What do you think contributes more to the personality of someone mister hollows? Where they were raised or the genes that were predetermined?" He asked

Sarah made her way into the class and sat down near Zoe. She set her bag down and raised her hand once the teacher had introduced himself and asked a question, "Will there be a lot of writing in this class and are you okay with me setting a recording device at your desk? It's hard to take notes with my disability."

Levi calmly walked into the bustling class room and took a seat in the middle of the room, setting his messenger back on the floor next to him. Why the middle? He preferred to blend in, but really didn't have any issue raising a hand when he knew something, he just preferred to be the one to volunteer that question. He pulled a notepad, mechanical pencil and the book for the class out and set them on the desk as he listened to the teacher speak.
Finally, a teacher than seems to be able to command respect without his fists...
It wasn't easy to find a good teacher in 552, but so far, Levi was on this guy's side.

OOC: Participants LOCKED. Aaron would look to the first person who spoke- Lyric, though he didn’t know his name just yet. He would give a smile, kind but not offering room for bartering on the subject. “ Unfortunately, no. No laptops or cellphones, please. We’re here not just to learn and grow our minds but to interact. Please put it away.” He would then turn to his younger sister, Phoebe, who seemed quite eager and bubbly to learn. That was good- after the beat down he gave her she should feel good. “ We’ll actually be going to see Randall Island Salt Marsh and freshwater wetlands first. That will still be in a couple of months, however.” Next, he called on Zoe, whom decided to kick them off with the first question about biology itself. He would grin. “ I’m a HUGE fan of all single celled organisms. You can’t love biology and not love them- what really gets interesting though is when one becomes many. We’ll get into that, though.” Allen would call on Teufel next, who asked a heavier question. He would think for a moment before responding. “ That is a very loaded question. We are, in the end, a perfect blend of two unique individuals which came together to form something entirely new- you. I would say they are equally to blame, but I personally find what’s happening inside the body more exciting than the molding of the mind. Good questions so far.” Sarah Would ask about notes. He would let out a thoughtful, low "hmm.” before answering. “ As long as it records only sound, not video, I could allow that- bring me a slip from the principal next class giving the okay to do so and I’m willing to sign it. Unfortunately it’s against state law for me to unilaterally give the go ahead, so this first class may be a little more difficult for you. I’m sure someone would be willing to share notes with you if needed though.” And it seemed that was it! He would take a deep breath and let the smile stay. “ Okay! First off, I have a little video to share with you, then we’ll move forward to get an idea of how you guys really think about biology.” He would walk to the back of the class and click off the lights before turning on the projector, the screen coming down to reveal a video. LINKThey would watch until around the five minute mark, when he would turn off the video and click the lights. Moving back to the front, he would grab hold of a marker and write the number 1 up on the board. He would turn back. “ Tell me in your own words- Why do you think we can’t we breed faster racehorses? "Oh I have this," She pulled a file from her bag. "I have permission to record as part of my 504, but you have the option to opt out of recording if you provide me with typed lesson notes. I was told I'm supposed to ask permission and then if the answer is no to just give you a copy of my 504 so that you can figure out how you want to provide those. My last class she gave extra credit to a student who had good hand writing, but I'm okay with whichever you are comfortable with."
Once the video started she would be seated and paying close attention. Once it was over and he asked the question she really didn't know but she figured she'd just give out an answer to participate.
"I dunno, is there a terminal velocity being reached by those horses or does that only apply to falling speed?" She tried to think of it. The truth was that in biology in this kind of sense was a subject she didn't know a lot about. That was something she wanted to learn more from. So she would give her guess more than an answer and would look around, listening and paying attention as her right eye would focus on whoever was speaking and answering at the time.

Cool! There was enough time to ask more subject related questions, after. She was excited for any outing, and was glad that this class and her art class were heading out and about. She shifted a little in anticipation, smothering the discomfort of her ribs with enthusiasm.
She would watch the clip with interest and consider as Sarah spoke...then lifted her hand.
Good student, right?
"Well...breeding in traits take a long time, for one. You have to be highly selective, and then you have no absolute guarantee that the genes that made both horses incredible racers would be both passed along to a single offspring. It's kind of hit and miss with the alleles...unless you want to genetically engineer the offspring. But then, their bodies are only so aerodynamic, their muscles only able to take so much strain."

☺ THIS CLASS.... I WONT FAIL YOU ❝ Zoe would lean back in her seat, only halfheartedly listening to the conversation occurring before her in the class. Answers were being given to various questions she really didn't care about. He had already answered her's after all. When he finished answering questions and moved to show them the video, she tilted her head curiously. The girl almost laughed silently. She knew there had to be someone who could run faster than a top race horse in this classroom. This was 552 after all. When he askwed his question, she kept quiet for a bit as the others spoke. Finally, she'd raise her hand and speak politely.
”We can. We just haven't gotten there yet.”

Teufel nodded his head at the answer to his question. Sounded good to him, so he felt satisfied with the answer given to him. Now for the video. Looking at the screen with wide focused eyes, teufel felt only a teensy bit jealous of the horses and how they could run. Looking down at his own bandaged up legs, he silently laughed at the irony of the whole thing.
When the questions came down teufel raised his hand again, not before listening to what others had to say.
"I guess technically we could breed a horse that would be faster, but taking in the amount of time and resources being used, I guess we don't have either at the moment. But there's always going to be a slim chance we could mister hollows" he said cheerfully

Lyric sighed from the answer. He wasn't going to listen since he just asked to be considerate. Continuing to type on his phone, he just listened to some of the other answers from the teacher. The questions weren't that bad, but they could have been better.
He groaned as his phone was running low. He got up and walked over to a plug to charge it, now sitting on the ground so he could continue to watch the small screen. He was now ignoring the teacher and didn't really care of what punishment he could think of.
Reasonably he could answer the question, though he wouldn't unless he was called upon. He smiled slightly as he was going through tumblr and looking at some memes. Template by Kuroya of THQ & GS.

Levi would be content to listen to the conversations and Mr. Hallows' responses. It seemed like the man truly had a passion for teaching and would make this semester an interesting one. Normally PE was Levi's favorite, but hey, things could always change.
As he watched the video, he wondered what their assignment would be in relation to the video. Of course his question was quickly answered and he let the others answer before raising his hand and answered when called upon. His answer would echo parts of the others' answers; the curse of going last.
"I don't think it's a matter of "can't" as much as it is a matter of probability, resources and cost to benefit ratio. Breeding traits into animals is expensive and time consuming and the effort may not yield much if anything. Plus, you have to ask the question: how would faster racing horses benefit society?"
Leaving his answer with a question to provoke thought and further conversation was a habit of Levi's. He enjoyed a good debate or an intellectual conversation, so he was always looking for ways to make them happen.

Aaron would take Sarahs note and read it over before signing it. " Cool! Feel free to record then." As she gave her answer, he would think for a moment before writing her answer "Terminal velocity" on the board at number one. For Phoebe, he would write down "Selective breeding traits". Not a bad answer at all. Then came Zoe, the one with protozoa on the brain. Her answer was curious, so he would clarify. "You mean technologically we aren't capable? Or just that nobody has tried?" Whichever she meant, or once she finished explaining, he would write it on the board. He pointed at Teufel, who stated they could but just didn't quite have the necessary equipment or science. He put "Resources" under the boys answer. Then...the one with the cell. Lyric. It wasn't as though Aaron hadn't seen what he was doing. He stared. And stared. He didn't even look to the other students. Then Lyric had the balls to walk over and plug it. You could almost see steam come out of Aarons ears. He put the cap back on his pen, would walk over to the classroom door and open it. He then walked over behind Lyric and would lift him up under the armpits. He walk away, the plug flying out of the wall. If Lyric squirmed or kicked, Aaron didn't seem to care or feel it. He would toss Lyric out the door, then shut it then locked it. He went back and grabbed Lyrics backpack and reopened the door, throwing it out with a smile assuming the boy was there. " Looks like you got a free period kid. Come back next time if you feel like getting serious." He would shut and lock the door! He would walk back over to the board and write Levi's comment. He then stepped away, still uncaring about what happened to the poor, phone obsessed child. " You guys have a prevailing theme- that resources are the problem. But the truth of the matter is both simpler and more complex. It's all about them genes. You take a male and mare, who come together to create a child. A brand new blend of their genes. It stands to reason that bringing together two really fast horses would bring out a superhorse, right? Wrong." He wrote on the board "Genes: The Beggining" " This will be the first project we have as a class. This will last us through a couple of months- today, however, I want you all to grab a pen and paper, and explain to me what you think Genes are. Explain how they affect us, what they work do and what even they are. Then, through research, explain why you think breeding faster horses is or isn't possible. Include the resources that would be needed, how it would be done, and why we haven't done it yet in detail. Or, explain why it can't be done. I'll expect it at the beginning of next class.
