A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

- Sliding the key into the lock, Valo opened the door to his home, shutting it behind him with a small sigh. It was a really long day, getting all of his affairs together so he could properly attend Public High School #345. He had been so busy that he wasn't even able to see Shugo, but he figured he would do it tomorrow.
- Tossing his bag onto the couch as he walked into the living room, he was about to go upstairs when he saw his sister Hailey standing at the staircase, waiting for him.
"Adrian... You're home." she said quietly as she went to hug him. Not making any note to his birth name, Valo hugged his sister back tightly. "Hailey... how are you feeling?" He looked at her face, pale. Her eyes were tired, but she smiled. "I'm okay... I was just worried about you."
- She wasn't okay, but he'd be damned if she wouldn't be okay at the end of it all. He helped his sister get upstairs to her room and helped her into bed, placing the blanket over her frail frame and running his hand through her hair.
"You need all the rest you can get... you'll make it through this, I promise." Smiling weakly and kissing his sister on the forehead, Valo stood up to leave. "Please don't push yourself so much, Adrian... not for me."
- He paused for a moment, staring at the floor. "... Don't worry." Valo walked over to the door, turning to face his sister one last time. "Goodnight, Hailey." He shut the door behind him.
- He clenched his fists tightly, hating seeing his sister in this weak state. Swallowing his anger at the world, he did his best to calm down and walked up the stairs again to the third floor. A long hall was present here, with many doors on either side. He approached the third one on the left, opening it and shutting it behind him. All that was in this room was a bookcase. There were many books lined up properly on it, save for one slightly out of its alignment. Pushing it firmly into place, a clicking sound was audible, and the bookcase began to slide over.
- A new room was present, and Valo walked into it. It was filled with many exercise machines and various training weapons, a large desk with a computer and files atop it, and a wooden board nailed to the wall with various pictures and articles on it. Approaching it, Valo looked upon the pictures, they were of his mother and father. A lot of the articles had to do with their disappearances, and Valo would look day in and day out for any clues as to where they might have gone. At the very top of this chart, everything would be connected to a specific date, July 16th of 6 years ago, the day his operation was.
"Mom, dad... where are you?" Valo mused to himself quietly. He began to wonder if he should enlist someone's aid.

[OOC: After the events of Don't Steal From Me] - Valo woke up, looking around surprised. He was in his bed. He attempted to get up, but groaned in pain suddenly. Looking down, he saw he was shirtless, and most of his torso was wrapped up with bandages. "Agh..." - He clutched his stomach, finding it a little hard to breathe. As he attempted to move out of bed, he heard the door open, and he looked up to see Sarah walk in, her pink hair easily recognizeable. "Don't you dare move!" She said, approaching the bed. She looked upset, and he felt bad. She opened her mouth as if to yell at him, and he was prepared for the berating. But out of nowhere, she pulled him into a hug. "You idiot... you scared the crap out of me..." Valo looked shocked, but returned the hug. She pulled away and sat next to him, looking at the state he was in. She took a glance to the bow, which she set near the wall. "So that's what you've been doing... trying to be a hero... don't worry, I haven't told Shugo or Hailey." That was a relief, but Valo looked at Sarah. "I'm sorry, Sarah... I was trying to keep it all a secret, I didn't want anyone involved out of fear they'd get hurt." "But you didn't take into account what we'd do if /you/ got hurt.""It's not that, I..." "Look at what happened to you last night. You could've died, you idiot..."- She looked like she wanted to cry, and he felt horrible. He hadn't intended for anyone to find out about his identity especially this early. Furthermore, he was certain she'd get him to stop this. "Sarah... thank you... you saved my life." He said, looking to the bed. She placed her hand on his shoulder. "You're my best friend... I could never lose you." He remained silent. She and Hailey were the most important people to him, Sarah was the reason Valo and Shugo even spoke now. She was a strong guiding light in his life, but he failed to realize how much he meant to her too. "I have something to show you..." He said, and despite her objections, helped him get up from the bed. He took her to the room across from his, the one with only a bookshelf in it, and moved the book that caused the secret entrance to his lab to open. Carrying his bow and his damaged outfit, he moved in slowly with her behind him, surprised by all of this. He placed the bow back in its rack, leaving the outfit on one of the tables. "This is where I operate from... from here, I try to keep track of what's going on in the city. I train my body and my mind, day in and day out. I do my best to make my body a weapon, one that can strike down any wrongdoing that goes on in this city..." - She looked at him. "But why...?" He led her to the end of the room, a chart was on the wall. "My parents disappeared years ago. Whether it was a result of crime or something else entirely, I don't know... but I intend to find out. It was their operation that saved my life... that caused them to disappear... and if I find the answers, maybe I could save Hailey's life too..." - They remained silent for some time. Valo clenched his fists, but began to feel dizzy. Sarah helped him into a chair, looking around at the equipment in the room. "All of this... it's from Yuy Corp." Valo nodded. "I guess I shouldn't be surprised... so this is why you've taken such a huge interest in their R&D division." He remained silent. She looked over his computer, realizing how much more advanced it was than the average desktop. She was certain Valo didn't understand how to utilize it to its full potential, however. "I've decided." He looked up at her, confused. "I can't talk you out of this foolish mission of yours... so I'm going to help you." He objected, but she kept talking. "I'm one of Yuy Corp's best, despite my young age. I can be a valuable asset in your operation.""Sarah, no..." "It's better than you going in on your own without some kind of support back home to help you in a pinch.""But I..." "Besides /Adrian/..." She put emphasis on his real name, "...if you don't let me help, then I'll just tell Shugo."- He shut up, and she smiled with glee. " So it's decided! We're going to need code names if we're going to be communicating safely..." She looked over at his outfit. " A red hood... we can call you 'The Hood'. As for me..." She pondered for a moment. " I quite like the name Katarina. So you can call me that." - Valo sighed. "Alright... Katarina. Looks like we'll be working together." He gave a small, defeated smile. He'd be out of commision for some time while he healed, but she'd be with him every step of the way. Their first task would be tracking the man who had almost killed Valo. Thank you, Sarah...

- The sound of wood slamming against wood could be heard as Sarah was striking at Valo with her staff. Valo himself was holding a staff and just blocking all of her blows. While both were sweating, she was sweating more profusely, and stopped for a moment to catch her breath.
"Hah... tell me again why we have to do this?" "If you want to join me in my crusade, you need to learn to defend yourself, just in case. I would prefer you to just sit here safely and provide me intel without worry... but in the off chance we become compromised, I want you to be able to handle yourself if things go wrong."
- Sarah swung at him again from the side, to which Valo blocked it once more, the two of them now in a deadlock. While he wasn't the most experienced fighter, he looked like a veteran compared to her. But he knew she could become skilled in time if they kept at it.
"Should you even be exerting yourself with your injuries?"
- Valo placed his hand on his torso where his wounds were previously. It hadn't been much time but he had already healed. He felt considerably different ever since eating the strange food in the cafeteria... and that masked man... he must have fixed Valo up quickly for a reason. To get stronger. But why for?
"I'm okay, don't worry. It's strange, but... I'm completely fine now."
- Sarah shrugged. She was getting used to strange things now. "By the way... I finished analyzing that ring you brought home." She walked over to the computer, opening a compartment which held the ring. The computer had been scanning it and searching to see if it was safe or if there was anything unusual about it.
"It doesn't look like a trap... at least, the computer didn't pick anything up. I couldn't find anything unsafe about it- no hidden triggers, needles, bombs, nothing. It won't hurt you. Rather... it seems like wearing it will enhance your strength somewhat. I'd say.. 30% of a regular person's power would be added to your own?"
- If this was a role-playing board, she meant that Valo would gain +3 STR. The boy looked at it curiously before placing it upon his finger. Instantly, he did feel a bit stronger, and like he became a bit wiser. This ring was a strange item, but if it existed, perhaps others like it did too... if he could gain more items like this, he could reach the level of skill he needed.
"And what about Yannick? Anything on him?"
- Sarah sat down in her chair and looked through her computer files. What she did manage to pull up on him wasn't much.
"There's nothing in here that could possibly incriminate him. It's your eyewitness report... as The Hood... against his otherwise clean record. All I have is an address. He seems almost like he doesn't exist in any system. He's too clean, too careful. I even got his blood off of that arrow... no records I found are any different."
- Valo looked at the address, taking it to mind real quick. "That's not far... looks like I'll have to check it out later." Sarah looked at him. "Are you... going to break into his house? I don't think that's very wise..."
- Valo took a glance at his bow, trying to think over his choices. "If I don't do this... this man is running free for far too long. If I don't stop him, he could kill somebody else. I can't let that happen."
- Sarah sighed, getting up from her seat. "You're always doing the right thing... I wouldn't be here if I thought otherwise." She grabbed her staff. "But let's make sure you're ready first."
- Valo smiled at Sarah and nodded. The two of them went back to training until nightfall.

- Valo's front door opened, and he came stumbling inside, falling to the ground in pain. He was panting heavily, his hand on his stomach as he crawled inside and kicked the door closed. He was in his vigilante gear, and his hood was down. Blood trickled from his lip, and the area he was clenching on his torso was riddled with blood as well. A knife wound that caught him off guard, and a larger group than he was expecting. He was sure he was riddled with bruises, not luckily he didn't think anything was broken. He pulled himself up, moving so his back was leaning against the wall.
"Adrian..?"
- His eyes widened as he heard that voice, looking over to see Hailey by the stairs. He quickly slid the bow out of sight, unable to do anything about the costume he was wearing. But she merely shook her head as she walked over to him slowly. "I've already known for a while, Adrian..." She leaned down close to him, looking over his wounds with worry.
"H-Hailey..." He reached out and grabbed her hand. "You shouldn't be out of bed..." She shook her head again, retreating to another room for a brief moment to grab a first aid kit. Upon her return, she opened it up and helped Valo out of the hooded outfit, starting to wipe the blood off and clean his wound.
"I know why you're doing this, Adrian..." He looked at her, wincing every time she touched the knife wound. "It's for me... right?" Valo went quiet. "You're trying to find mom and dad... hoping they can cure me like they cured you... but you don't have to. I'm okay, Adrian... and you need to live your own life too."
- His eyes widened, confused by what she was saying. "You can't chain yourself to me. You can't live your life for me. You can't let things just pass you by all for me. Because when the time comes..."
- Valo stopped her there, not wanting her to finish that sentence. "You don't know what losing you would do to me, stupid... You're all I've got left... you are my life." He was tearing up, starting to cry. "This stupid world can go to Hell for all I care, if that's what it took to make you okay..." She looked at him, on the verge of tears as well. "But that's not what I'd want... I just want my brother to be happy." She hugged him tightly, as he was hit with the severity of just how bad things really were.
