adrian "Valo" morei ❝We are healing, but it's killing us inside Can we take a chance, when faith and fear collide?.❞
There it was. The phone call he was waiting for.
Valo would pick up his phone, seeing that it wasn't a number he recognized, but it was within the time frame that Siobhan had told him she would call. Answering, he'd find that it was her, and he would agree to meet her somewhere closer to her home where he could pick her up.
Macht had agreed to set something up for Siobhan in the school dorms, but it would take another day. This gave the current day to Valo and Siobhan, and if possible, he didn't want her to have to go home to her father. When it came to Siobhan, despite not knowing her long, there was a desire to try and keep her safe if he could. But he couldn't do anything she wouldn't let him do. It was up to her to come to him, it was up to her to let him in, to tell him she needed the help. Until then, he would do all he could, as her newfound friend and ally.
So he pulled up in his car, a red Mustang. and waited on the closest public street to Siobhan's home that he could get to. If he pulled up directly, he was afraid to arouse any suspicion. So he opted to wait for her out here. The boy sat in his car, just quietly musing over things that were going through his head.

Siobhan hung up the phone in the public booth, glancing down at the one duffel bag on the ground. Had she brought all necessary items? She wasn't sure as sleepovers with friends was something the now ex-heiress had ever done before. Reaching down, she shouldered the bag before looking back upwards at the glass. Immediately, her eyes were drawn to the rapidly forming black patch hidden on the side of her face. Looks like I tucked my hair back again. Siobhan reached up, pulling the hair forwards to hide the blemish. She didn't have a doubt that Valo would react badly to it, and was planning on hiding it for as long as possible. The most visible bruise of all the years, and it has to be today. Thanks, father.
A red mustang pulled up not too far from where she was standing, and Siobhan took that as her cue. There was still a good chance it could be some creepy person waiting for someone else, but at this point the girl was too tired to care. The exhaustion from such high tension earlier was finally wearing down on her. It didn't help her fresh physical wounds were starting to prod at her patience. Siobhan should have been used to sleeping like this, hell even doing more strenuous work after discussions with her father. But somehow, today, it wasn't easy. Maybe that just comes with the prospect of freedom. I better make sure I don't do anything stupid tonight.
Siobhan glanced in the car window, peering for a familiar face before pulling the door open and sitting down. Her hand reached up to tuck her drifting hair behind her ear, but after a quick reprimand to herself, she pulled it forwards more as a precaution. The moment of truth, huh? Looking over at Valo, she gave him a quick and relieved smile, suddenly feeling a crushing weight she never realized lift off of her. It gave her the sudden urge to cry, but even more so, the impulse to leave the car and go back to the Arden Manor. I don't... really deserve.. to leave..
"Well, before we head back, want to stop and grab something to drink?"
