"Great, one of these days. I look forward to seeing what happens."
Sighed Mizu. It was a sunny day. Mizu really hated sunny days because they bring him bad luck. He prefers when it rains because it's a sign. A sign of peace.
He had just woke up so with the day being sunny and all, he wasn't in a very good mood. It also happened that today he was going to be extremely busy. He had to take care of some gang business down a few blocks. Same old work he usually deals with. Except this gang was considered notorious, crazy and infamous. Usually this posed no threat to Mizu but today was different. The gang leader was his old friend. His mentor to be exact. Only problem was... Mizu didn't actually know this yet. He was in the cold. However, the person that gave him the job, was fully aware of this.
He got dressed and ready. Ate his food and had everything ready. He was bringing his favourite weapon with him today, his katana. He had actually got his katana a LONG time ago. He doesn't use it very much though because he likes to avoid damaging it or breaking it but this job was going to be dangerous so he knew he'd have to take a weapon he could at least rely on to stay strong.
"I had better get the preparations ready for this. I still need to get the car."
He launched his attack in exactly an hour and he still had a lot of work to do before he could pull it off. The timing was going to be extremely tight for this one. He picked his bag up, walked out his door, locked it, headed down the stairs and out the entrance to his house. He then walked to the nearest bus station and rode it for about half an hour. Luckily it stopped exactly where he needed it to.
"Which one is it?"
Mizu said, pointing at a line of cars. It was one of these that he was going to be driving and most likely wrecking in the process. Getting the police on him, was of course, very likely.
"It's the black one. Hop in, the keys are already in there. Better get going. You're running out of time."
He got into the black car and put the keys into the slot, starting the engine. He then took twenty minutes to arrive at his final destination. He had exactly ten minutes left. He was extremely pushed on time and needed to seriously hurry up or he would be late and his pay would be seriously reduced. Mizu casually strolled to the top of a building. Pulling out a sniper. A high caliber rifle with explosive rounds. He set it up upon the top of the roof and aimed it towards the meeting place. It goal was simple. Take the leader out and anyone else around that he could, go down there, make sure they were dead and then return with a suitcase full of money, which if he did this right, he would get most of.
"Now it's just a waiting game."
He sat there and watched for about five minutes and nothing happened but then he saw it. The black truck pull into the alley and the white van from the other side. From his intel, the gang leader would be in the white van so he site his sights upon that vehicle, almost completely ignoring the other one which he would later regret doing. As he man stepped out the white van and Mizu set eyes upon him. The gun was dropped. It fell all the way to the bottom floor and made an echoing sound throughout the whole area.
"It's... It's... him! No. It can't be! It must be a coincidence!"
But before he had time to react, a bullet went straight through his right shoulder. The pain rushed up towards his neck and down towards his hands as the blood began to pour out. He didn't even have to think about where the bullet came from. It was completely obvious. The black truck. He ducked down quickly avoid being shot again and then cursed at himself. He hesitated and if he hadn't he would have got the job done. But what he just saw he couldn't forget. The gang leader was his friend from Tokyo. Someone who was originally close to him. Very close. So shooting him wasn't a walk in the park at all.
"Dammit. Of all people why did it have to be you? Dammit!"
Mizu needed this money badly and he had to get this job done. So it was either kill or be killed. And though this guy meant a lot to him. He wasn't going to die for someone who just betrayed him like this. He stood up and shook his arm off a little. Luckily it wasn't that bad because of his clothing but it still hurt and was still bleeding a lot. Mizu made his way down the building and on his way pulled a pistol out of his back pocket. He kept it incase something went wrong. And in this case. Something did go wrong. Horribly wrong, to be accurate. He made his way to the bottom and then left the building. Running across the road as fast as he could not paying attention to the traffic. He still kept a rather calm face but inside he was going wild. His emotions were going everywhere and he was genuinely shocked and confused.
He made his way closer to the area in which he was shot from and where they were making the deal. He knew they would be on tight security after what just happened so he would have to be very careful. He quickly attached a silencer to his pistol and got ready to start kicking his plan into action. It wasn't a very big or glorious plan but it might get him out of this alive and that is what counts. He pulled out of cover and aimed towards the site, he spotted three people straight away taking them all out and instantly giving his position away. He then ran towards another building and pulled a grenade out of the other back pocket he had and threw it at the black Truck that was there
"I hope this works. Or I'm going to be dead. I mean, the police are definitely going to end up here soon enough..."
Mizu looked at the gun and checked the rounds left. He running low on ammo and only had two magazines left. Each bullet he had was going to mean life or death. If he missed even one, it could cost him his life. A couple of seconds later the grenade he threw finally went off but not in the way he wanted it to. Just as it was about to go off, someone decided to kick it towards him and it went onto the road, blowing up 3 passing civilian cars and killing about 7 people.
"Shit! That's my fault. Fuck!"
He looked at the wrecked cars that were on the road. One had even flew straight into the building beside him. He was actually glad it didn't go straight into him. It would have easily killed him. Mizu moved out of cover and let three bullets out between two people. The first bullet made contact with the first guy's head, killing him instantly. The other guy took two bullets to kill however because the first bullet only hit his shoulder while the second pierced his neck.Mizu managed to get an estimate of how many people were left. 7 including the leader, his friend. Mizu decided it was time to use his ultimate weapon against them now. It was his chain grenade. Two grenades stuck to each other, each loaded with extra gun powder. Mizu threw it directly at the white van aiming to cause a massive explosion.
The only problem with the grenade was... They took about twice as long to explode. So after picking a few more guys off and seeing his friend run to the other end of the alley he knew that they decided to not try throw this one back. And he was right. About thirty seconds later he heard a massive explosion and it literally shook the ground. The van went flying up in the air and the buildings around him shattered. One of the smaller buildings fell into another and then created a chain of buildings falling. Mizu stood there kind of confused as to how two small grenades and a van just managed to topple about 5 buildings...
"What the fuck was in those grenades?"
"Oh shit! I need to catch up with him"
Then Mizu began running towards where he last saw the guy. He knew there was at least 3 people left. Maybe more. But the explosion definitely took a few people out. He was sure about that because the body count was up. Mizu ran at full speed towards the end of the alley and as he turned out he saw him running. But that wasn't all. The echoing sound of sirens in the distance. If they caught him, it would all be over and he'd go to jail for a very long time if not a life sentence.
"Get back here! You cannot run forever! I will catch you eventually!"
But there was no response from him. He just kept on running and running. It was like he would never run out of stamina but when they reached a junction that had a building site, the guy ran into it.
"That's so predictable. It's so... cliche"
Mizu let out a loud, obnoxious sigh before following the guy onto the building site. He was slowly making his way to the top as his friend was going as fast as possible. From what Mizu had seen, there was only one way down and if he rushed up there was a chance he would fall and die, so he took his sweet time and admired his view on the way up. When he reached the top, he looked around. There was many places one person could hide. But he had to be extremely careful because there was at least 3 others that all had guns and could pop out at any given moment. Timing and caution was essential.
He slowly made his way towards the other end of the building and looked around. Where they really here? Mizu had looked around very carefully and didn't really spot anyone so far and no one had tried to take him out when he was quite obviously open. This setting was making Mizu feel slightly unsettled and uncomfortable since anything could happen. And out of nowhere a pile of massive pipes rolled passed Mizu, flying off the building and again, crushing innocent people down below who were in their cars and couldn't do anything about it. It was almost like they were aiming to miss him.
"Ahahahah, long time no see Mr Rienzu! I see you've gotten a lot stronger since we last met. I'm glad to see you've grown so much and you're no longer that pathetic weakling you used to be!"
Mizu gazed at the five guys standing in front of him. Amongst that four was his old friend. He was looking directly into Mizu's eyes with an intense stare.
"Why are you working as a gang leader!? You are betraying us!? BETRAYING ME?!"
The guy looked at Mizu and started walking towards him, gun pointed at his head.
"It's very simple, they simply offered me more money and I worked my way to the top so now I'm rich. I get a lot more money now than I ever did before and I'm living the life."
Mizu gave him a dirty look.
"You're trash. I'm glad you're gone"
