Luna was in the gym with the rest of LG, listening to Leon’s plans of 552 domination- how to go about it, what sort of attitude you need to give off, and of course (not forgetting the most important thing); make them respect you.
Make them respect you… Make them respect you… She would repeat in her mind as she went to her homeroom. Her homeroom teacher was almost never there so most of the groups within it would use is as a base of sorts, and all of the people who couldn’t be bothered to deal with them would simply add their name to the register and get out while they could. Therefor she would have to change her plans a bit. Instead of preparing for a fight with the top dog, she would have to prepare for a group battle… Solo.
She would walk in casually as she normally did, walked up to the teacher’s desk and marking herself as present in the registry book. “Which one of you is the top guy here?” She would then say suddenly, slamming the pen back to the desk and looking back up at them- although only for there to be no response for several seconds.
“That. Would be me.” A well-built blond haired guy eventually spoke up, making his way through to the front of the pack from the back of the classroom. The guys around him crossed their arms in agreement before filling in the space that they made for him to pass. “But you already knew that, didn’t you.”
“Oh. Of course I did.” Luna would respond in mock-politeness, picking up the register book with the pen between the pages of today’s date and throwing it to him to gauge his dexterity- not that there wasn’t a second point to it though. As the boy would easily grab the book and open the pages, he would see his name on today’s date with a circle around it. Luna figured she knew the names of everyone in the class, so she might as well have some fun with it if she’s going to cause some chaos. “Unfortunately things are about to change”.
He flicked his blond hair out of his eyes and looked up at Luna. “I can’t tell if you’re challenging me, or asking me out on a date? You are the youngest and most beautiful member in our class after all. Maybe I’d be interested.”
He was lucky he couldn’t see the faces of his followers mentally facepalming. Instead he only had the view of Luna responding with glared daggers. Youngest yes, since she was advanced up a grade, but most beautiful? That’s just... Well... Maybe it’d be a compliment to the real Luna. She gave an evil expression for a split second and decided she was going all out. She had needed to vent for ages now, and this was clearly only one of the few situations which might help with that. “What if I said I was asking you out?” She would say, walking up to him with accusing eyes.
With no hesitation, he would bring his hand up to the bottom of her chin and look into her eyes. “I’d say… You’re lying.” He would say slowly, clearly wanting to emphasize his dominance over the other members of the homeroom class. “Although I’d have to commemorate your bravery, but beautiful as you may be, but unfortunately you’re not quite my type. I guess I was lying about being interested too”.
“Ah, then that saves me the effort of rejecting you, but you got your assumption right first time.”
“My assumption?”
“I was challenging your position to be the ‘top guy’ -!” she would say, taking the opportunity to take him off guard and shove him a tiny bit and, spinning on a heel and sending out a strong kick, sending him back into his blanket of followers.
He covered his gut with a hand, recovering with strained breaths. Luna can wait. It’d be a pain to go for a second attack with the group of people there, so she took a step back and sat on the teacher’s desk with legs crossed at the thigh. She looked at her nails, before looking back at the so called leader of the class. She never used this sort of gait before, but movies of cliché girl villains made her decide this was the most entertaining road to gaining respect among thugs.
The blond haired prettyboy stood back up “You bitc-“ he started, before Luna would interrupt with “So? I can have this classroom, right?” At her comment, two of the more burley guys stood forwards- as she predicted. This was going to be the hard part. She had made a mark and now she had to stop it getting removed. Or at least, that’s what she thought. The blondie put his arm to the side and exclaimed “Hold it. This is a challenge for the peak position here, and I’m not going to be the one letting a pretty little girl take it”. Oh? How surprising. Maybe this guy deserved more respect than Luna was giving him.
He took his hand away from his gut and regained his posture with a deep breath as Luna got off the desk with a little jump. This was going to be easier than expected, she thought with a smirk.
The guy threw a fast right cross to her face as soon as they were both ready. Fast, yes. Predictable, very much more yes- this guy had nothing on Felix for non-orthodox moves, so even with his speed this shouldn’t be a problem. She would take an uncommon left sidestep from his right handed punch, and lifting her right hand up simultaneously, would grab his forearm, twist it and pulling him down in one swift movement. Even if she didn’t display any prowess in speed, she definitely had the advantage of predicting and reacting to generic street-fighting moves and patterns.
“Maybe you should let some of your followers help you or this’ll get embarrassing for you quickly.”
“Hahaha. Embarrassment is something that only applies if the person thinks that way” He would say from the floor, before extending out an arm and grabbing her right ankle. Yet another predictable move though, so she would simply hop forwards towards him and kicking him in the side with her left foot making him roll over to the wall by the windows.
“See? This is clearly what I’m talking about when I mention embarrassment.” Luna would continue, although this time talking towards the gang of miscreants at the back of the room while taking a few steps towards them. “Now come on and accept help from some of your minions or I’ll never get their respect for just beating you”.
It came to her attention that the leader wasn’t even trouble. Apparently joining a latecomer-to-the-school’s homeroom class means the strong hasn’t quite been divided correctly. Either that or all the strong people are skipping homeroom after registering. Either seems just as likely. The blond person doesn’t seem to be putting up any sort of decent fight, although his predictableness reminded her of herself a few months ago. A very generic style of street fighting. “Ahhhh, come oooonnn. Don’t just sit there and take it. I’m trying to take over this classroom and you’re not even trying! Just because some people say I’m normally innocent doesn’t mean I’m not capable of beating you all up.” Luna would say, pouting a bit. This wasn’t a satisfying way of taking over the class.
“Right… Then.” The voice would come from the middle of the crowd. “I’ll fight too.” Among whispers.
A man with a black buzz cut and big muscles showing out from of his ripped sleeves broke past the front line. Luna was hoping for another prettyboy to beat up instead of this guy standing over Luna, but she guessed it was going to be a better show against someone with muscle. She remembered the lessons Cedric taught her when she joined the school about fighting people with a further reach than yourself. Put yourself out of their optimal range, which in this case would either be far enough away to make it a projectile battle, or closer than comfortable so your power is more efficient comparatively.
The blond guy stood up again, apparently not wanting to lose his pride further by standing down- now it was getting closer to the imagined scene she was thinking of when she entered the room.
“That’s more like it” Luna would say with a nod, but not before the big guy picked up a desk table. She would get a strange flashback to the café where she was nearly squished by Vivi with a table, although this had nowhere near as much intensity. The panic going through her head was about the same though. No matter what her strength was like, a table is going to hurt if you don’t dodge it- Blocking is completely out of the question.
She would kick up a chair as a diversion at him and the man would block with the table, sending the chair to the side. The blonde person would be charging Luna from the corner of her eye, so she would crouch as he came close and elbow him in the gut before grabbing him at the wrist and shoving him into the guy with the table. With no hands free to soften the leader getting shoved into him, it would give Luna a bit of time to get an attack on the person with the table- although it isn’t without its risks.
She would charge at a diagonal to the closest chair (which happened to be the same one from earlier), and picking it up from the two legs would swing it at the guy with the table again with a quiet grunt.
It would unfortunately catch the table leg and recoil into her arms, forcing her to drop it to the side and leaving her exposed to a hit from a table. She made a quick analysis and jumped to the side pre-emptively. If he swung the table across from either side would be likely to his the class leader, so he instead slammed it as expected, the very tip of a table leg hitting another table, sending splinters shattering to the floor. Apparently she was imposing well enough for him to go all out, which she couldn’t determine if she was happy about or not.
She would grab the two table legs (of the table he was holding on to) closest to her as he lifted the table back up, and Luna would twist them counter-clockwise before suddenly and unexpectedly changing to clockwise and shoving it to the side- right into the leader’s face. She couldn’t help but feel sorry for him since he was getting most of the pain around here and getting overshadowed, but this was no time to cringe and show pity.
She let go of the table as it made contact with the blondie, with the table off to the side she would finally have an opening to hit the guy- she would send a power heavy right kick to the side of his left knee, making him drop the table and nearly fall to the ground- although he unfortunately was as tough as he looked so he recovered faster than Luna could use as an advantage. He would lean up against another table to stop himself falling back before leaning forwards and throwing a punch at Luna’s chest with the momentum. Surprised by the sudden attack, she would jump to the left as a reflex, although she would take the hit to her left arm as she did- making her spin for a moment. He wasn’t messing about it seemed, unlike the first guy.
She ducked the second right hook that was aimed at her face as she quickly recovered. From here, she would stand up and throw a right (slightly overhead) hook of her own in one motion with a small jump towards the side of the person’s head- finally being close enough to make use of the too-close-for-comfort teachings she was given before. She would knock the guy out very cleanly with a satisfying thud as he hit the ground.
Luna would sigh while flicking her wrist to get feeling back into it after the punch, before turning back to the prettyboy leader. “So this room is mine now, right?”
He would feebly respond with a nod, only now just getting back up from off the ground. As Luna turned to the rest of the slackers at the back of the room, they would give a confirming nod too.
“Good.” She would say, turning her head to the door suddenly to make her hair flick. She hoped it looked as cool as it did in the movies. “I’m going to class.”
Make them respect you… Make them respect you… She would repeat in her mind as she went to her homeroom.
