A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

Cedric was waiting in his battlefield of choice, the roof, in giddy anticipation, today was the day, he was finally going to learn something from a teacher he actually gave a shit about. That's right it was a fight, well a sparing match technically but still this meant he was getting close to one of his major goals in this school, beat a teacher. That goal probably wasn't going to be realized here today but Cedric viewed this as testing the waters and gaining some experience the good old fashioned way.
With all that being said today he would be sparring with A teacher named Newton Jones he was pretty sure, that was of course assuming he bothered to show up, after all he did just leave a old fashioned letter of challenge at what Cedric thought was his desk.... upon further consideration he realized he probably should have looked into this more rather than diving head first into it, but eh thus was his nature.

He almost laughed at the awkward note that he had found on the corner of his desk. Normally when someone would challenge him, (At least 25 years ago) an explosion would be involved, now fights were offered by way of writing. How strange it would also be a student of the school. he had many fights in his day, and not many were with those of a significantly younger age. this person had spoken with Newton many times, and had quickly become a friend. Which was unfortunate, Newton didn't have too many friends, at least not those that he could actively call such. He had people he could rely on, most definitely, but not anyone he would assume could give a life for. Either way, this individual seemed quite interested in fighting and there was a snowballs chance in hell he was going to turn it down.
Dropping the note into the waste-bin, he pulled the tape from his desk, the eggshell white color, offset by the soil from his hands that had stained the surface over and over, rest in his palm, he could still smell the adhesive, ready to pin his skin to his muscle, and give him an extra guard against tearing. He unwrapped it as he strode lightly across the hall to the stairs leading up, while he wrapped his fists in the familiar garb he couldn't help but think of the lyrics to his favorite song that would carry him into battle. As odd as it was, Asia's "only time will tell," was the one to keep his heart calm, it reminded him of friends from long ago, who's ghosts carried him well past his limit, who's hands still held his own even in death.
He unconsciously began to hum, it was a horrible habit he had developed over the years, but it did the trick when nothing else would. He almost felt regret for accepting the fight, when it was time to shed blood, he usually had a gun. At the top of the stair, he accepted it, he accepted that this wasn't just a fight, it was a release. It was to be a release of his anger, his sadness and sorrow for the betrayal he had experienced in his lifetime, the death and rebirth. He was to be anew after today. Seeing the student across the stone walk from him, a garden on the far east end, with the reflective pool of water on the west, he felt a breeze of cool, fresh air fill his lungs. The old man was to be reborn in the glory of a match against one who could handle him. And it was to be an honor.
taking a deep breath, he approached the man. The sound of his shoes on the concrete were those of a soldier, no longer just a man, but one who could see the intent of his comrade. Less than 10 feet separated them, and in that 10 feet, one could feel the pressure of the war inside them. This was to be a battle, not just any battle, but a battle between men.

Cedric smiled at Newton's somber arrival, it seems he had assigned this much more meaning than Cedric had. "Well that's what happens when you challenge a war vet I suppose" Cedric thought as he faced Newton putting up a relaxed MMA stance. as he looked at Newton he could feel his pulse rising, he could tell this was going to be a good fight and the thought excited him, but contrary to his excitement his face settled into a neutral expression with only the intensity in his eyes to convey emotion.

Newton was used to his opponents trying to use their best poker face. It was a standard tactic everyone made sure to practice around him to keep their thoughts hidden. He also recognized the stance all too well, as he had seen it a number of times before. it was a more modern style of martial arts that mixed different grapples and strikes in an attempt to throw off their opponents balance, much like Judo, only with much more focus on boxing like strikes, this allowed for a fighter to inflict hard strikes while using grapples to force a submission out of an opponent. Making sure he positioned correctly, Newton hid nothing. His brow furrowed from concern, his lips curled into a smirk from pride, he held his fists ahead of him, white knuckled and ready to strike.
He could feel the cool breeze brush along his jaw as silence wrapped them both in a beautiful zen-like peace, he would be in for a painful day. Unlike before, in his last fight, he didn't stay still, he slowly slid his foot ahead, inching closer. he had taken on countless people much larger than himself, there were soldiers in the field bio-engineered to be unstoppable, there were soldier who could take entire magazines and not be fazed by the pain, This man wasn't one of them. Newton remembered how dark the forests were, how hot the flames burned as he was forced to hold dozens off while the chopper extracted a target, or how he had hijacked a tank while facing mechanized warriors. Yea, This man wasn't one of them.
"it's not too late to back down son, for either of us." He stated, offering an out that with all honesty, they both should've taken.
With the offer sent, he began to plan in his mind, this man was indeed stronger, and a bit quicker, but newton had far superior reflexes and the experience of a soldier on his side. Plus he didn't look like he would be able to spot small changes in the soldiers movements. With cunning and speed, Newton was clearly superior, but with strength and endurance, this challenger was a bit better.

Cedric stood in the middle of the roof waiting for his opponent to attack him, but in the meantime was trying to analyze his opponent. From everything he could tell Newton was slightly faster than him and much more experienced meaning it would be hard to press for an all out blitz and that dodging was going t be hard since Cedric lacked enough experience to truly read his opponent, but in favor of him was Cedric most likely had at least slightly superior strength meaning if it came down to a grapple he had an edge, and Cedric had Incredible endurance and resilience meaning a long drawn out battle could work in his favor as well, he just had to play it smart.
After a couple moments a surprising proposition was offered by Newton, to which Cedric replied "Nah, see we haven't even thrown a punch yet, to just walk away now would be.... boring" while drawing up his battle plan. In all honesty this was a fairly good Fight for Cedric, he was used to dealing with faster opponents and already had an idea in mind, the first part of which was just to hold his ground and mitigate damage until he had an opening.

The whole situation sucked, While the younger man stood and watched him, Newton simply assumed that he was waiting for the older man to throw the first strike. Often soldiers of equal footing would stand and stare until one grew too tired, and by way of age, Newton didn't have time for that. He took a quick step forward, with his strength, and the way the young man looked, a strike would still hurt, but he would endure more than Newton could. Breaking down everything in his mind, he would need to move quickly and break any grapples he would attempt, it would be hard, but very possible, he began with a straight jab, keeping his limbs close as his fist flew, the aim was offcenter for Cedrics face, knowing it wouldn't do much, but it would break the ice.

Cedric acted as soon as Newton Stepped forward aggressively to execute the plan move that he was carrying out regardless of which strike newton was doing. What Cedric did was activate his left eye causing a plume of blue flame and smoke giving him a speed boost to the point where he would actually be a little faster than newton, Cedric then dropped his body down and rushed forwards to meet Newton most likely taking damage from any strike thrown his way, so that he collided with earlier than he had planned for. The entire goal of this was that Cedric would be to get hold of Newton by hooking one of his hands under Newton's leg and wrap the other around his shoulder to lift newton into the air and quickly do some form of Judo body slam. If the slam where successful Cedric would try to get into a full mount position. If it where unsuccessful he would at least try to grab Newtons Leg to force him off balance. Item Used Satan's Left Eye: Ability for 1 post every 10 INT the user gains +10 Dex. Description When active the left eye will blaze in a blue inferno leaving a vapor trail of blue smoke |

Newton was certainly taken off guard, but it was nothing to panic over, the sheer speed he went at Newton with was certainly impressive, and it would be hard to counter, but luckily it was something that the young man didn't understand, but charging forward with intense speed and attempting a grapple like that, it made Cedrics position a very tough one. The moment Cedric dropped, Newton gripped the back of his pants and placed a firm grip on his tricep, with a fluid motion he dropped straight down and threw the tackle over his upper body, with the speed and momentum that Cedric had forcing him forward there would be a lot of power carrying him up and over the older man. This first strike was entirely lucky, but another one like that wouldn't be so easy to dodge. Since items were apparently ok to use though, Newton didn't hold back. While it was weak, he reached into his jacket and threw a smoke grenade to the ground, (QI: Smoke grenade, 1/8 INT, Fills the area with a thick layer of smoke. Effect: Debuff to Dex of anyone caught in radius for one post)
using the split second timing, he moved at Cedric, delivering a solid swing with his right leg at a low angle toward the jawline. If it connected, the snapping motion of his ankle would seriously disorient his opponent, and provide a much more than unpleasant feeling to his jaw

Cedric was caught off guard and handily countered. on his short trip through the air he couldn't help but curse his stupid decision to go for the flashy move, that Felix kid was rubbing off on him.
Though the throw it'self wasn't too bad since Cedric rolled with it. What was the problem however was the noxious gas that filled his lunges as he was righting himself. Cedric could feel it hampering his movements, though luckily it wasn't strong enough to counteract the affects of his eye in it's entirety, but despite that as soon as he had gotten himself on one knee and looked up there was a kick heading straight for his head and he had to make the split second decision to block dodge or counter. Given the situation Cedric had little confidence he could block or dodge or really mitigate damage in anyway, so he was going to take the hit but aim to grab Newtons leg in the process. So Cedric put out his arms in a position to catch as best he could and enveloped himself in an armor of blood to soak up the damage. But that didn't mean he was compleatly unaffected, the blow was going to hurt but hopefully not to the point it would stun him to the point where he couldn't perform the grab.
If the grab where successful Cedric would get a firm lock around Newtons leg and twist hoping to at the least unbalance him so that Cedric could buy some time for the blood armor to wear off since it really made it impossible for him to move properly.

Delivering a snapping Kick toward the young mans head, he realized that while his eyes were adjusting to the smoke, he didn't see the armor appear out of nowhere, not only that, but the young man had gripped his leg, the only thing he had now was a last minute decision. In the three seconds he had till the young man realized he had succeeded, he drew his sidearm, a Non-lethal tranquilizer gun he had developed in his time as a soldier. he waited for the time when the young mans body was exposed, anywhere, anywhere at all before he pulled the trigger.
(QI (FINAL): Tranquilizer gun, takes 1/4 total INT and deals it to Target as DEX damage)

(OOC notes: Okay so I forgot to lock my stats which is a problem but I've tried to figure out what they where just from what was n the thread so here is what I'm pretty sure they where, if you spot a problem just let me know STR:45 CON:60 DEX:40 WIS:25 INT:20 though with the DEX debuff his DEX would be 35) Cedric was relived to have grabbed Newton's leg, it meat that all the damage he had taken up until this point had been worth it, now it was just a matter of making the most of this opportunity. However before Cedric could do anything he felt a dart enter his left shoulder, he didn't know exactly what was in that syringe but he felt himself getting slowed down by it and decided he really needed to end this fight here and now in case whatever was in that thing had more effects that just hadn't kicked in yet. Cedric as soon as fast as he could would fall onto his back taking Newton's leg with him, while falling backwards Cedric would wrap his legs around the one of Newton's securing it into place with all of his strength, after that he would change his grip to that of a standard heel hook and apply more and more pressure until Newton conceded to Cedric's victory. |

Yup, he had no choice but to concede. His body was old and frail, and he was almost ready for social security, any issues to his ankle would be an issue.
"NOPE! I concede, you're done, please, let go before we continue." He didn't have much in the dart, it was a mild anesthetic that would wear off quickly. He was trying to develop a more potent formula, BUT NOOOOO someone had to fight..
"You've done good, I'll admit you're too much for me to handle. You should consider fighting the pillars."

When newton gave up Cedric let go of Newton and stood up extending out a hand to Newton to help him up, even if he didn't break anything he applied a fair bit of torque, plus he rather respected this teacher, a convenient side effect of a good fight. "No not yet, I'm nowhere near that level currently"
