Felix looked to Cedric, open surprise plain on his face. He sat there for a moment only staring, before he threw his head back as he howled with laughter. His face felt hot, as he laughed so hard tears started flowing out his eyes. He couldn't stop himself, he held his stomach as the sound of his laughter rang out like a fucking majestic bird, or some metaphysical poetic shit over the roof, startlingly loud for their conversation; but no one would hear it except for Cedric. Despite the jovial look on his face, the laugh had a sad tinge to it, though it was hard to pick up.
Felix laughed until he ran out of breath, rolling over onto his side, his laughter was silent, the only sign that he still was laughing was the rocking of his body. Taking a deep ragged breath he sat back up, a sad smile on his face, still chuckling softly as he spoke. "Yeah you were spot on. I-- I haven't been able to get this place out of my head. I used to be heavy into games, fighting games actually. B-but now what's the point!?" He stood up tangling his hands in his hair as he seemed to noticeably become more distressed as he spoke.
"What's the point of playing a made up game when it's real! It's here! And it's even more intense!" He dropped his hands from his hair, letting his arms go slack as he stared out at the clouds. "What's the point of doing normal teenager stuff, when there are people who can break the fucking sound barrier in their sneakers! Kids who can punch through solid concrete! And some who can even shoot fucking lightning!"
He stepped back, his back smacking the wall they had currently been propped against as he slumped back down into a sitting position, "What did this school do to us man, we're supposed to be kids dammit!?!" He paused seemingly finished before he spoke up, quiet. "I still get nervous ordering food. Seriously, if I mess up the order I like I'll hang up, and call again in an hour." He laughed slightly at this fact. "But when I fight . . . I can't imagine doing anything else, I dream about who I'll fight next! I can't even imagine a future outside of highschool-- outside of FIGHTING!"
He slammed his fist into the ground, skinning his knuckles on the concrete. "This school. It's our blessing and our curse. Most of us were sent here to change. Well we changed . . . but I'm still trying to figure out if it's for the better." He looked to Cedric a pained expression on his face. "You say I'm whole, but I'm not sure for how much longer. This schools way of life has already gotten into me, and the worst part is . . . I love it." He let out one last chuckle, it was low and rumbling, filled with emotion.
