I remember last summer. I had gotten back into roleplaying with some friends at school, we would always
pass a notebook and pencil back and forth. I had started roleplaying at age 4(Although I was an idiot then XD) and it seemed to have died around the age of 10.
I'm glad to have gotten back into it in recent years, but I felt like I wanted to do more than pass around a silly
notebook with my silly friends. I wanted to "create", I wanted to collaborate with people like me, people I may never meet
in real life. I told myself, "Just get on google and search, roleplay site" but of course, at the time I didn't think such a thing existed.
I finally got myself to while was watching an episode of Naruto on Netflix. I stumbled upon Top Roleplay sites.com.I figured, lets do the top 3.
I looked at the roleplay site, that anime one I don't care to remember the name of, and one other..but, something felt hollow, empty, CONFUSING even.
I just coudn't get myself into it. So I left the site and continued down the google search result list. Eventually, I stumbled upon a place called:PHS#259.
The site looked neat, and seemed like it had a good plot, and a better community. But, that was past tense on "had". The site was abandoned. But I remember seeing some place talking about a new site, so I followed the trail and here's where I ended up:A great place called Public Highschool #552.
Almost instantly I was drawn to it. My favorite paired colors are red and black after all. That's just what this site had. It was strange, like all my jumbled up idea's came to life.
I looked at the rules, and guides, but then came the stat/qi system. My mind was blown! I couldn't believe what I was reading, it was amazing and brilliant. I signed up right away.
I remember not understanding the concept of threads(as stupid as that sounds) and I went to the chatbox. I saw Shugo, Husbando Mickey, and Soran as well. I asked:Is this chatbox for in character roleplay?(but of course, who would remember that?) I was shown the ropes and learned quickly, having Tsubaki Mitsuzoe as my first character who would later be joined by my childhood character Tony Miozawa.
The sites people were friendly, the staff worked hard, and it paid off. I would vote for my own site that I'm working on, but to be honest, it feels like a sin. This site has
gotten me through tough times. and I'm sure, it has for many of the people reading this, whether you've thought about it or not.
Ok! enough of that mushy stuff! I want to know what you guys think of PHS#552, what does it mean for YOU?
I also plan on starting a news article here! With Kiyomi Wataragani and Tony Miozawa as your hosts and reporters, as well as looks into other peoples thoughts and interviews!
I want to include many sections like thoughts on events, new upcoming systems (maybe <_<) and since
this is going to be a weekly article I'm going to include a talk about an THREAD OF THE WEEK! Many idea's and hope's for the future! You may know me as Miozawa Inc. or Okami(even Konami or this very username) in the chatbox, so give me some suggestions! I'll be happy to follow through if their good ones!
