Asiv wondered really if she was confused.
"Qi, is an inner energy within all living things that can take many forms depending on the true nature of a person. You may have seen it running around the school as people wielding fire, or explosions. Even energy attacks."

Zoe tilted her head as he spoke- continuing to act dumb. ”Erm... I see... I have seen some weird stuff like that, but... sir why are you so interested in it? Shouldn't the school call... like the government or something about it?”

Asiv would chuckle.
"The government has been notified. They seem to need to vote on it, or some such political nonsense. I'm interested as a field of study. A new energy source that we may be able to harness. Completely natural and everything would be run from the person trying to use it."
Asiv would look at the schematic once more and close it out before grabbing his paper box and another sheet of paper.
"Imagine the box is a person's potential."
He placed the extra sheet over the opening of the box.
"This is how normal people act all day because they have no reason to tap into whats inside the box. We need something? We invent or change our surrounding to fit us."
Asiv would move the paper half off the opening.
"This is the state of the current Qi users that have been recorded."
He then took the cover off and ripped the box in half putting the paper on the desk.
"This is what I am studying to cause."

As he began to speak and begin his little paper show, Zoe's smile dropped to a serious frown. He was smarter than she gave him credit for, but he was... Zoe didn't trust him as far as she could throw him. She remained silent as he began to play with the papers to show her his envisioning of qi and how it worked.
Zoe gulped silently as the box was torn in half. She rubbed the back of her head as her eyes shifted to look to the side. ”Except... the box... what if it's the human body and you're just going to hurt people by tapping into something their bodies can't withstand?” she asked. ”Not only that... but you basically want to turn people into batteries... That sounds pretty Matrix-y.”

Asiv grinned wider as she understood fully.
"That is the issue I'm running into now. The device does more harm than good. And the synthesized crystal doesn't channel energy the way the original does. Not to mention there is a level of problem between power output and what the body can withstand. If I can get that right, yes people would be batteries, but a single person using a bit of energy could charge an entire neighborhood for a few weeks. No reason to harvest and implant them into a digital version of the nineties. There would be a job for Qi users to charge an area for a couple hours a day. As well if someone wanted it'd be possible to be completely self sustained."

”Except that wont happen. Look at what oil does to countries and how people fight over it... you're just going to be introducing another resource to be exploited,” she spoke softly.
”I dont think you should keep doing this...”

Asiv finally frowned.
"Even if I don't go public, the government will do much worse. I have no choice but to continue. This is the only way. Their experiments are much worse than mine."
Asiv confirmed as he threw away the paper he tore up.
"I at least use volunteers."

She kept quiet as he spoke, watching him. Zoe didn't trust this man. There was something about him that made a shiver run down her spine. He claimed to be better than the government, but he was using underaged students as experiment subjects. A lot of the kids in this school didn't have functional parental units- did he really expect her to believe that his volunteers weren't all minors with no parental permission? Still, she kept quiet.
”What did you want me to help you with anyway?” she finally asked.

"Well I think the bug in the device may be connected with the lack of notes on Qi effects and side effects. I could use your help taking notes when fights break out."
Asiv figured she wouldn't have qualms with that at the most minor section. Zoe seemed intelligent enough, but it appeared as though her understanding of the device wouldn't be enough for him to get sufficient aid. So another pair of eyes out and about would be better.

Zoe understood most everything on the schematics she had briefly seen. What wasn't on the papers was being pieced together rapidly in her mind. If she was able to think peacefully for a few minutes, she might be able to figure out what his bug was. When he asked her to take notes, she smiled weakly. Zoe already had notes on several qi users. Smiling weakly, she rubbed the back of her head.
”Eh? That sounds kind of dangerous... I mean what if someone like Mikey shows up again? He was pretty scary and I'm just a normal girl...”

Asiv stared for a minute before smiling.
"Then you'd do the smart thing and run, right? Smart girl like you wouldn't get involved if it were dangerous. However."
Asiv would pull out a clip board and paper.
"Need your name and home room please. Still need to file a form of detention served for me."

Well, he was totally nuts. He was telling a small girl to go near fights and just 'run' if it got dangerous. Zoe frowned silently. When he pulled out the clip board, her brows furrowed in an annoyed way. Sighing, she mumbled out her name.
”Zoe Garci- Er, Zamora Zamorano,” she corrected herself. ”My homeroom is Mr. Gaephister.”

Asiv raised an eye brow at the name. He felt like he knew that name, or saw it somewhere.
"Where do your parents work? I think I might know them."
Asiv was completely serious.

Zoe tugged on her long hair nervously when he asked her about her parents. Did he really know them? She looked him over before speaking.
"Uh my dad is an engineer for a private company in California and my mom use to be a chemist before she became a house wife for the same company..."

Zack slapped his knee as he remembered.
"That's right!"
He'd pull up the original concept builds on his computer for the booster technology.
"The original concept builds used the plants from our green houses in California in these full bed hook ups with very successful early tests we could charge the nervous system and the right mix got a paraplegic to walk one hundred feet!"
He'd point at the name on the blue prints. One was Zoe's father.
