A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

Kyou walked through the doors of school. He couldn't believe it--he was back here again. It wasn't like he was ditching school or left on some extravagant vacation... well, actually, it wasn't entirely true. He had been spending all of his time at home--entirely enthralled to be working on experiments and locking himself away in his basement. Who needed to go to Hawaii when you had a basement filled with lab equipment?
But in all seriousness, he hadn't been goofing off. At least, he didn't think he had been. He was simply working on something that, to him, was terribly important. But the problem was, it was very advanced. He thought that he would have a good lead on what he'd been looking for--something new and very dangerous--but it turned out to be for nothing! His experiment and tests had gone terribly wrong and there wasn't anything that he could do, really. He had simply wasted a month of his life on wasted projects.
"So stupid," he scolded himself mentally as he walked through the halls of the school. His eyes lazily scanned the faces of the students--it seemed to be filled with the same sort of people as always. But the thing that bothered him was that almost every face seemed new. There were so many new students in the school, and things seemed to be getting worse and worse--he could tell just by being in the school for a few minutes.
He had a large stack of papers that he had to fill out and complete from all the school days he'd missed--though the teachers didn't really care if students turned things in or not--and though he knew it would all be elementary logic that was needed to fulfill those assignments, a part of him didn't want to. It would only take him a night to catch up again--if you even call it "catching up" considering he knew most of the information anyway--but what was the point? It wasn't like he was going to graduate high school and go to college or something. He already had a sort of job at the agency--what was the point of working in school? It's not like hard work would do anything for him when he had the reputation of attending PHS 552.
And how horrible--things were still just as bad as when he left for his research project. But there were even more students at the school. More crimes committed. More problems in the world. More work for him. Though in the least he was glad that at least some of the people had been caught from their crimes. Though Kyou knew plenty well that most of the students in the school were plenty innocent of crimes, or weren't truly bad and didn't really need to be punished this badly.
PHS 552 may have been one of Kyou's only happy places, but he couldn't deny it was still like hell.
He sighed and lightly knocked his head against his locker, frowning at the ground. "I've always been weak but I was just starting to become a little more useful when research caught me by the neck and dragged me down. I bet I'm the bottom of the chain again, which I guess I don't mind. For a student at PHS 552 I don't fight much--though I really need to be. It's hard to catch criminals in the act if there's nothing you can do to defend yourself and take them down when they turn on you. I don't care for political matters in the school--I never cared to be a pillar or whatever else--but being weak certainly isn't good, either." He started to grow more depressed as a new thought returned to him.
"I've been gone for a month and I'm still shorter than just about anyone. Oh my goodness, why do I have to be so lame...?" He turned his head--which was still against his locker--to look at some of the other students in the halls, yelling loudly and obnoxiously at each other. Irritation became more apparent on his face and he muttered, "Those guys are bigger and stronger and much better looking. I bet they wouldn't have any issues getting a girlfriend."
He sighed. What was he thinking? Things like that were not at all what he was interested in. He stood up straight and unlocked his locker, taking out a book and adding it to the stack of papers in his arms--his backpack as full of useless things as ever. "I'd say studies are more important but then I'd be lying," he muttered. He turned around, not desiring to go to class but knowing he should. Still, what was the point? He was so behind anyway, people were bound to not care if he was there or not.
Even when he attended school more often people still didn't care.
The boy stared at the ground as he walked, frowning as he was deep in thought. However, he looked up when he nearly bumped into someone--stopping just before he could crash into them. "No, no" he thought. "There's no way I'm going to continue being the same loser I've always been my whole life. Well, I'll try not to keep being clumsy, I guess. I can't really change the fact I'm a loser. I mean, c'mon. If you're the only person who thinks bow-ties are cool then you're bound to be picked on. And I have glasses, suspenders, and am short. I guess there's really no changing that." He gave a dejected sigh and stepped to the side of the person, hardly paying any notice to them. "Sorry," he said, apologizing for almost bumping into them. Even if he didn't. "I wasn't watching where I was going."

**Kyou was an ant... Not just any ant. You would find things in nature that just doesn't make sense. Sometime there are forces at bay that just goes beyond what can be assumed from normal. Like when one of the penguins that marched with the others just decided to go off the path. That is the different of what genius to normal people. Those willing to do something else, to be special. About as basic as you get define it... But using the term ant would be insulting... that it was true to the significance of his intelligence. Strength is rule of thumb in about every ecosystem, every system of life in existence. I mean of course, you have people who paved the way with their intelligence and made human life more convenient to live. But what about those who have intelligence but don't wish to show it? Where is there Nobel Peace Prize? Or maybe an ribbon of excellence? Maybe being in so many contests maybe they get plenty of those. Beyond that, They are in the shadows... Until someone takes notice of them and within that darkness a small spotlight is shone. The man chuckled from Kyou's words as he spoke passing him. "You should be more careful... Try keeping your chin up eh, Kyou" **There was a small emphasis on his name as he passed by. Of course, he would not have to take the bait, but for being the "ant" that he was, who would want to notice him. Marcelis is the type of man who doesn't want to have all the players that should be on the board. Mistakes happen, people get overlooked, in those situations, it is inexcusable to neglect something that could be a potential threat? Maybe... He doesn't know but being in the shadows has its perks. All the angles that you see, all the different things that comes into the light when you don't have unnecessary blinders, due to teenage sociopaths and foolish bleeding hearts that only make things worse. Marcelis wondered if the small man would know him... Doubt it but if he wishes to learn how he would of him, best to cut through the crowd and head towards the left corridor. He was almost out of sight from him if he stood there wondering too much... .:OOC:. I'll try a little harder in the future, wanna to enter it to get a ball rolling... XP Kyou Kobayashi

Surprise took him as he stared at the much taller, strangely familiar man. Kyou recognized him--glad to see a familiar face within the sea of strangers--but yet he didn't personally know him. Kyou's mind drew blank when trying to find a name in his memory to match the man, but nothing came to mind. No, he'd seen him before, but Kyou certainly didn't know anything about Marcelis. "W-what?" Kyou stuttered, though his voice shaked and his shock was almost inaudible as the young man before him headed off.
"How does he know my name?" Kyou wondered, standing in the halls, dumbfounded. Some more uncivilized students bumped into him as they passed--many not seeing him and the others not caring about the tiny boy. The small black-haired boy shook his head, snapping back into reality. "It doesn't matter. I guess it's not that weird that someone would know who I am. Then again, I've never met someone who really knew my name right off the bat. Maybe other people have talked about me, but still it's highly suspicious," he thought, darting forward and running after the direction that the elder student had walked off to. He squeezed his way through the crowds--trying his best not to bump into people as he rushed in the opposite direction of the main flow. "Call me paranoid, but there's got to be another reason. How does he know my name? I've never even talked to him before this. Is it just by chance that he knows who I am? Why do I have such a doubt for that most obvious of answers?"
He made a sharp turn and ran down to the left corridor, having seen a glimpse of the strange man head in that direction. The crowd of students didn't seem as thick here as it had down the other hall--though of course there were a few stragglers hanging about and a few civilized students making their way to whatever destination that they had. Kyou spotted him still casually walking off, and he ran forward before his attention snagged on something else.
He had no idea how this student had come to know him. It could have been someone mentioning his name--the midget nerd who's clothes were out-of-date. It could have been that he'd seen the younger student around and happened to pick up his name that way, but what interest would he have to actually remember? Kyou really wasn't anything special--at least, he didn't think himself to be like that. Perhaps he'd heard of the incident in the sex ed class--Kyou had seemed to become quite infamous in these halls for that one event.
The boy's face heated up at the memory. How embarrassing it had been, and still some people only know him as, "The boy who was tossed out the window." Yes. It had happened a long time ago, but people didn't seem to let go of that fact.
But something darker lurked in his subconscious. What if there was another reason that he knew his name? It wasn't exactly as though the older student had done anything wrong--in fact he'd been quite nice and polite to the younger and shorter male--but yet the way he spoke Kyou's name... it was so suspicious and it made Kyou feel on edge. He was quite likely paranoid, but he felt there was probably a deeper reason as to why he'd said his name in such a way--or even knew it, to begin with. "Does he know who I am?" Kyou wondered. "Was he teasing me by putting emphasis on my name because he knows that's not it? Was he trying to grab my attention in hopes that I'd come after him? If so, I've certainly fallen for his trap." He took a deep breath and puffed out his chest--as though to give himself a feel of confidence.
Exhaling, Kyou would run up to Marcelis and try to catch up, saying, "H-hey! Wait up!"

**Marcelis had a decent lead in front of Kyou, enough that went he rounded the corner, Mars would be just reaching the end of the corridor. His right hand came up to his ear as he spoke softly to himself. The words would seem muffled but you can hear him say, "I need you my little bird." The sun should be shining in through the gaps of bars that would be placed there. But the shine would pose another look to as Marcelis turned around to rest his back there, his form would look like silhouette due to the angle of which Kyou would be looking at him from. The dark shroud would cross his arms as he watched him approach. As his angle, he would be considered a rather little man, but then again, we all were small and growing up is more mental thing than a physical point. The largest man could be considered the biggest baby. And of course the smallest man with a large intellect could be more mature one, but that is also subjective. But that would another case study for another day. Moving on from that, as Kyou would get close enough for his vision to fully see him, he would speak out. "Well it is a treat to be placed in a presence of such... Intellect. I believe you are wondering how I know you... Don't worry about that. You are an ant." **He awaited a a reaction from him or maybe even words. For him, these little social "experiments" were always fun when knowing the reactions of the people that he deals with. Taking the compliments, insults and the like, he gauges people on the buttons that he push to what can or should be known. He likes to work that way since it give him a bit of power. Having control of a situation is a key thing for a man like himself, knowing when something is going sour... When to fall back, when to bolster up. It is all a mental game of chess to him, and he loves to bet what may happen next. He is a gambling man you know. But in some cases he tends to bet on too much... Or go all in for the fuck of it to see what would happen. Reckless, but telling him that he already knows the risks, made the points of different outcomes to settle himself to what he wants or to believe what he wants. Such simple vices, but he is a man of simple tastes when you get down to it. A simple smile appeared on his face as he spoke again. "But that is not the reason why I made contact with you for, I wish to pick your brain for something... Number 2 in the school for your intelligence... Your only better is Ms. Garcia. Left the school for a bit... I can only wonder what you doing and why even come back to this school in the first place." .:OOC:. Kyou Kobayashi - I am just impressed about your volume. I can only hope to keep up @animata - This is your first assignment LOL

Alioth was following Marcelis the whole while, a decent distance away, the main reason of the separation being the big crowd of people known as the population of PHS. Nevertheless she had her eyes on her employer the whole time. She was in the process of adapting to the role of Maid, along with the amount of schoolwork she had to do. Not to mention changing her class schedules so that they would match her employer, she had her work cut out for her. Not that she wasn't trying her best, and so far, she was succeeding. Exceptionally well to say.
When her earpiece vibrated and her employer's voice spoke through it, Alioth took her cue. Making her way the ground, quickly maneuvering through the bustling mass of people, she made her way to Marcelis. Not knowing what her situation was, she went over and to save the time off of the running around everyone, Alioth ran on the walls of the corridor to Mars, using her Dex to go at a high speed, rushing past everyone. It was a bustling crowd, so only the most aware people would see her, and only they would see a blur.
She got behind Marcelis with a small hop, and almost slipping and falling to the floor at the end, she caught her breath and stood up straight. Brushing her hair back behind her way once more, she replied with a small "Here I am Mr. LaCroix". And when Kyou came into their eye view, Alioth could barely hide her interest. She had met Kyou once before, on her first day of school. He taught her that life wasn't always a happy place, and Alioth grew from that. smiling brightly, she remembered one of her purposes as a maid, keep tabs on who her employer interacted with. So she focused on what they were doing and what they were talking about so she could record it for future reference.

Kyou approached the man and stopped when he could see features past the rays of light, and the young man was no longer a silhouette--though his features were still somewhat masked in shadows. An artist could probably appreciate the beauty of the moment--perhaps want to capture and notice the grace of the rays as they gave Marcelis somewhat of an angelic appearance--the contrast of the shadows on his form in contrast to the light coming from behind him through the dusty windows. But, no, Kyou wasn't an artist.
He listened to what the older student had to say, before frowning slightly at the last part. "An ant? What..." He paused. What could that possibly mean? If that was some sort of reference to him being small--but no. Perhaps there was something more to it... After all, as Kyou recalled, ants were quite well-known for how organized and how strong they were. Now, ants could easily be crushed--but when one actually looked at their structure and put it into consideration of their size and what they often go up against, the small ant practically wore armor. But Kyou wasn't particularly strong. No, perhaps he was referencing to something else. How ants were organized and worked well together in harmonious structure and logic--how they had a set of government for survival and many systems set up quite brilliantly for an insect in order for them to strive? Perhaps it was because ants did all of their brilliant and hard work as only subconscious--hardly even putting their true potential to use. No... maybe. Kyou wasn't particularly sure, but regardless of what the older student meant--Kyou wouldn't take too much heed to it.
After all, if it was genuinely just because he was small, that would seem like a simple enough of an explanation. There was no need for him to overly complicate things.
He adjusted his glasses somewhat at what Marcelis said next, thinking about it. Kyou hardly though himself as only second-smartest in the school--he was sure there were students smarter than he other than just miss Garcia. But regardless, he couldn't help but to wonder, "Just what are you trying to pick my brain for, eh?" As if he hadn't already come up with a thousand conclusions as to what Marcelis wanted, now he was suspicious.
He glanced at Alioth, whom he'd just noticed was lurking about the man and now he was really curious what was going on. He hadn't seen her in quite a while, and though she seemed to have dark enough of a history, she seemed like a decent enough girl. The question was, did she change over the time they'd last met? If she had conformed to the ways of the school... perhaps then, these two weren't to be trusted.
((OOC: Marcelis Don't worry about it! Your volume is totally fine! c: ))

**A smile appeared on his face as he saw his assistance appear next to him. She was conforming to his commands well, even going above and beyond changing around her scheduling and such. He was quite pleased with his choice. Of course she wasn't going to be the only one. He needed to move out his "knights" from the school before he slipped up. If he continued to use the power of the Knave in school, only a matter of time till someone started connecting the dots, even smart individuals like Kyou. He didn't need to worry about the strong ones, since they value strength they don't worry about the people "below" to consider anyone a threat. It happens often, enough where power changes to those who steal it from those heads that are unworthy. Maybe Mars is going for something like this, but he needed good minds to get around it. Those... In which value strategy and cunning over brute strength. Maybe... Just maybe Marcelis could be able to build another 'Wonderland?' That could be something but dreamers can only get so far. Relaxing a bit more on the window's frame, he placed a hand on Alioth's shoulder. If she would turn her head to him, she was would see his casual smile, confirmation that her efforts were being noticed. Maybe he could treat her to some dinner tonight, its been a while since he cooked for two people instead of one. He then looks over to the young man in front of him to answer his question. "I believe we haven't met, but from your look to my assistant, seems like you know each other. Good. I believe we can be all friends here... Now, I was hoping you would not be offended by my 'title' of you... But it is in no ill will. I, too am an ant to those who put themselves at such pedestal. But, I like my position... I have no spotlight upon me... As do you... Which brings me to what you may ask." **Pushing himself off the window without using Ms. Algol as leverage, he took a step forward to get a bit closer to Kyou. As he got close enough without endangering his personal space, he spoke again, with same calm tone he kept this whole time. "It is more so, you absence really. I tend to... read up on people that I meet. Helps me to get a bit closer to them. Helps know if I need to worry about you or not. And funny... I only found somethings... Things that are just enough to be considered solid. And I got the wondering... Is this the same man I remember from art class and such or... Are you someone else?" **Marcelis waited for a bit as he let his words sink in. And maybe with this, he would assume that he would get nervous... Like, 'Yes, I did research on you and if you are hiding, I know you are who you say you are.' It is more of a ploy of course, if his nervousness shows out, he would be correct. If not, he would put more cards on the table. Well another good thing about this is Alioth herself. She was the x-factor of this. With that, Kyou could be more incline to believe that Mars was not hostile. But it could work against him as well. But funny thing is, he was willing to gamble that... Being the crazy bastard that he was. If Kyou spoke and finished or otherwise, he look back to his Maid and speak to her. "Well,Miss Algol, how do you know this man?"

At the moment, Alioth would've loved to go talk it up with Kyou and tell him about what had happened since she had arrived at this school. How she almost gotten attacked by a gang of furries (not that there's anything wrong with furries, in fact, some of my closest friends are furries), when she had gotten beat up on the roof of the school, all of the memories she had made, and finally here, becoming a maid and more self independent of herself by helping Mars. But that may have to be later. As a maid she had to keep a certain look of professionalism, as stated in the agreement she had made with her employer. And as a little secret of hers, she was even working on a maid costume for her to wear. A non sexual one of course. she was going for a practical maid, not a sexy one.
Looking up at him for a sign of some sort or just out of habit, she was met with a warm, accepting smile. One that showed that she was doing good job and succeeding in what she was doing. Filled with Determination, she stood up straighter then normal, and managed not to flinch when Marcelis put his hand on her shoulder and stepped down. she didn't understand the talk about ants that went down like Kevin hart, but when she was called up, she smiled that familiar smile she wore and had her head tilt so it would be facing Kyou and Marcelis
"er.. I met Mr. Kyou on my first day of school Mr. LaCroix. i was sitting alone at lunch, and he came by, so we just…talked. he was really sweet and he told me how the world isn't always a cake walk served up on a silver spoon, which really helped me, sir. He's really smart book wise and Street wise, and even though i heard some rumors about a window, he's still a really really nice person Mr. LaCroix. er… sorry sir, i shouldn't of talked that much" she smiled timidly, and managed to sneak a friendly glance and a smile at Kyou.

Kyou would meet the man with a dangerous gaze. "If I didn't know better, I'd say this is some sort of recruit. He's been reading about me? Why should he even care? And trying to appear to me as a friend of sorts, making it look like we're in any way the same situation. Then again, perhaps this is a part of the 'game' he's playing. Oh yeah, a mind game. Well, if that's how he wants to play, I guess I've got a few pawns at my disposal," he thought, keeping his expression stoic and emotionless. His eyes would flicker over to Aloith as she spoke, answering the man's question in a comfortable sort of way. It was obvious now, she was clearly sided with him. But the issue was that Kyou wasn't quite sure if he was still to be trusted. He certainly didn't trust him. Aloith? She seemed sweet as usual, but even then he didn't feel it as any sort of assurance.
"Hardly," he would state, adjusting his glasses. "We happened to cross paths once and I did my best to enlighten her," he said, trying to put on the pose of being serious and not at all friendly with her. He didn't want to show any sign of any sort of weakness--and though he felt Mr. LaCroix wouldn't harm her, he knew there were still possible ways of manipulation. However, despite his attempt to appear tough and nonchalant, he couldn't help but to blush slightly from embarrassment.
She hadn't even been there when he'd been tossed out the window and yet she heard rumors about it as well? What, did they put it on the school newspaper or something? "NERD GETS TOSSED OUT OF SEX ED. CLASS WINDOW BY VIOLENT TEACHER BECAUSE HE WOULDN'T SHUT UP ABOUT RESPECT AND EQUALITY." How embarrassing... that certainly wasn't going to help his "tough guy" act
"So I wouldn't consider us friends of any sort--just two people who happened to meet and share names, really. Nothing can quite be said about one or the other, after all, we're hardly even acquaintances," he gave a small smile to her. "So I'm sure her impression of me could be quite false." He would shrug, deciding to tie in the man's question with his last statement. "So I'm not entirely sure what you do or do not know about me. But I suppose it doesn't take too much to figure out. I'm just a nerd who likes school and happens to get into trouble here and there--nothing out of the ordinary, especially for this school's standards. As far as a look-alike? I'm sorry but I don't know what you mean."
He would meet Marcelis's gaze with a small smile on his face, though the intention of which was unknown. Was it sly and cocky, as though to say, "I win," or was it to lower his guard and act genuine and kind? To feign innocence and dispel any ideas that he was secretly a runaway who happened to be the only successful lab rat of the facility? Who knew? "I'm the only me that I know about, and I don't recall any other people walking around the school with my signature suspenders and bow tie. We did share a single class together, did we not? Do you mistake me for someone else? I mean, I'm all the same man I was then as I am here. Well, as manly as you can get for a thirteen year-old who wears suspenders and glasses."
Kyou would then remain silent, wondering how Marcelis would respond. Would he take it? After all, Kyou wasn't quite lying. Or did he truly know about the boy's history and wasn't going to fall for the bait? Whatever games of mind interrogation had begun, Kyou had made his first move.

"I guess we all have our reasoning to interact with people... That are not like us." **The last part of his statement was done with a pause, he wasn't trying to insult his assistant. But as he had her around him for a bit now, he did see she was quite the starry-eyed child. And maybe for what the world may throw at her, she would try to have the optimism of a born-again Christian. His words were only has he sees that Kyou could be the same as him, as to look at the world with a logical view, you can never get blind sided. But something his father's sister a while back before which he always wonder about... 'God takes care of fools and babies, so whenever you grow up or not, you'll stay in his graces.' He always felt insulted by that. The factor that he would be a fool still in god's eyes, but then he had a different thought is that maybe she was saying that he would always be a child? Either way, he doesn't even respect just silly sayings. But maybe Alioth does? He was thinking that he has changed slightly from acquiring her. But not too much, he just needed to keep up appearances. But now he has a game in front of him. A game Mr. Kobayashi is willing to play. Well Mars has never shy away a battle of the wits. Just only with certain people... Because sometimes, you can't win no matter how hard you try. Mars' chin lifted up as he spoke after the last words from Kyou. "Well well, I could be mistaken, but then, a man of your stature can be easily...Forgotten. But do you really want to be that? A nerd who was made a fool of in sex ed class, Yeah, I know about... I have agents in keys parts of this school." **He stood his ground with his words, to see if he would get a reaction from him. Maybe not a rise, but anything. He had to read him and press him a bit. A little provocation between friends right. After hearing Alioth's words, he knew that she saw him as a good person, and that may work against him. Cause first and forth most, Marcelis is an asshole. An opportunist in the likes no one may have ever seen. And if Kyou doesn't watch himself. he may let up more than he would truly want at the wrong time. ~So Alioth, class is in session, see how two minds go at it...~

At kyou's response about how he had felt about their meeting, Alioth felt a little awkward and just a tad bit hurt, but she just shook it off like usual, not showing any kind of change to her smile, and quickly recovered mentally, just as subtle as her reaction. She turned her head back and forth to see and listen to the conversation that went on between Mars and Kyou like it was a tennis game, or a smash game final, the tension growing with every comment. She then turned her head to look at Marcelis. Alioth felt that she had gotten to know Marcelis a little bit better, slowly and with tiny steps. Even though he was really professional and cold on the outside, he could be a really nice person when Alioth really tried her best. She then turned to Kyou, whom she had just found out about the window story. He was smart, and pretty Mysterious, and Alioth had always wondered why he would find this school so appealing.
She Kept her mind alert and ready to jump in for an assist anytime she was needed, and was listening to both sides to see why Marcelis would have such an interest in Kyou.

"Not like us?" Again, he was trying to make it seem like he knew so much about Kyou, and like they were similar to one-another. Perhaps they were, though Kyou was certain they had many, many differences. For one thing, Kyou certainly hadn't had any purpose or anterior motive behind interacting with Alioth when he'd first met her. He didn't feel that he had to have reason to simply talk to people--there were many people he interacted with, even if he was not like them and didn't think of them as friends. Perhaps that was his only reasoning: that he didn't have to have a reason. But LaCroix? Perhaps he was like Kyou in that he had something special to offer the world but decided not to, and was dismissed as unimportant, just like Kyou, so perhaps they were similar. After all, the two were already engaged in a battle of the mind, a thing they both seemed to be familiar enough with. But Kyou did not associate himself with the man, he did not think that they honestly had much in common--much less enough for him to associate with him or trust him, for that matter.
"To be forgotten?" Kyou repeated, raising his eyebrow. "You make it sound like that's a bad thing, and by your word choice, you're making it seem like I secretly desire to become something great. What, are you trying to offer me an alliance with you--two people who are written off as less than extraordinary--to eventually rise up to recognition, or at least to do something important with our lives?" The question was simple enough. After all, Kyou couldn't see any point in the young man bringing up those thoughts or points unless he had some sort of gain from it. But what gain could that be? To make it seem like they were similar enough, and then to try acting as though he knew Kyou was, in fact, much more extraordinary than he let on, and then to top it all off, make him question staying in the shadows? Almost as though to try making it seem like it wasn't the best option, and there was a better choice? Kyou was nearly certain that LaCroix was doing something of that nature.
Before the man could retort anything, Kyou would adjust his glasses and say, "You don't know very much about me, even with other resources. I'm really no one special, just like you stated: A nerd who made a fool of himself. I make mistakes on occasion, and yes I'm a nerd who has next to no friends, and yes, if I were to die nobody would care and nobody would probably even notice, and many lives wouldn't likely be affected... but so what? I'd rather stay isolated than to be surrounded by people who might care or miss me, anyway. I have no thirst for power and so I try to stay neutral in various issues concerning the school." The light coming from the window that was placed behind Marcelis would glint off of Kyou's glasses for a moment as he looked up. "Pardon my rants, but I just couldn't help it. I don't understand why someone would possibly want to have a battle of the mind with me, and what they think they could gain from it. If I were a mastermind of sorts and you wanted to gain me as an ally I suppose I could understand that, but you're unfortunately barking up the wrong tree. I'm just a simple nerd who enjoys talking about books and things of that nature, nobody really cares about me and my existence doesn't really affect anybody. But if you're trying to change that, perhaps you should take into consideration that I might just enjoy things being that way."
A part lie, a part truth. His voice and emotions stayed the same, regardless, so it was hard to tell that he was lying in the first place, and much less in which aspects. He wasn't denying being a nerd, but his uneasiness had been cleared after MArcelis had spoken. Kyou was almost certain by now that the young man didn't know who he truly was, and he no longer felt this was an affair that was linked to something outside of school. What were Marcelis's true intentions? For now, Kyou didn't particularly care. He'd stated the facts. If it was a recruitment, he was neutral, if it was just a simple "let's become allies of sorts", he didn't seem to want friends, and if it was to gain power or something like that? Kyou seemed quite uninterested. If it was to pick his brain for information? Kyou was the type to only really give out the information he wanted to, he was certain that Marcelis couldn't gain any unwanted information from him. Certainly not with how things were going.
Now, did Kyou really not understand what Marcelis was up to? He wasn't sure, but he had a few ideas. He didn't genuinely think that people cared all that much about him--but he did know he'd made a friend or two in the past. Would they care? He questioned it, but still he didn't think they would be too upset if he were to be gone. Now, did he want to die? No. Did he think that his life truly didn't affect other people? He purposly left out the facts that he'd saved lives before, as well as influenced others, and had done many, many other things that did impact other peoples' lives. But did he want Marcelis to know that? Probably not. And thus, he made two truths and a lie.

**Marcelis quietly listened to Kyou as he spoke his piece. He is, still an interesting lad. And even Cereza could be interested in this one, but then again, he seen now that he was not to "bought." Not money mind you... Just the currency of intrigue and curiosity. Kyou was... seemingly biting of course but he pulls away. Could be cowardice? No no... Kyou at this point would be behind if he used just a pitiful emotion to justify his words. But then again... He did state himself being a nerd... Multiple times during his little speech. Just a simple nerd, going into this school, this school. Marcelis' broad smile appeared on his face as a chuckle released from him. He didn't understand what caused his fit of laughter but he just found himself laughing. A man of his stature never loses cool even in situations like this. Well, the cards drawn out will ALWAYS favor the dealer, since he/she will rigged the deck anyways. Which bring about the truths and lies. Kyou was actually quite careful in control his own cards, his truths... and his white lies. About how he feels about Alioth and even him coming back here in the first place. Even so, he means well... Discard those who could be close to you and keep a distance from everyone. He works better that way. Honestly it reminded him of how Cereza is... Was... She was gone and doing god knows what. Which led to Mars to start meeting people like this. As he regained his composure, he spoke again with a simple phrase. "Is it that strange..." **Mars was taking note of everything... Everyone. Before Kyou started his little rant, he was looking at Alioth, and he noticed her face when he spoke about her before, seems like it bothered her since she didn't believe their encounter was that transparent. Even noting Kyou's little gestures, fixing his glasses, lifting his chin up. He felt safe here, his secret was secure. But then again, this little exercise was to find out if he had any secrets which was a success. Something Mars can check in his leisure. He rocked his head back and forth as the popping noise in neck release the tension that was there. The young man facing him was trying to bury any thought of him being any for what he was, which is never the case. Marcelis smiled as he tapped Alioth's shoulder to keep her into this conversation... Which is now what Mars was going to put in perspective. Doing more or less a mocking sigh, he spoke as took a small step forward. "Well, well Mr. Kobayashi. You certain seems like a... 'Normal' student. Hell all of us are normal students. Myself, Macht who is the Senator's adopted son, Valo, who is the standing heir to multi-billion dollar corporation. And others who have joined this school. Even Miss Algol who seemingly quite the sweet and innocent child sitting in the lion's den. But did you know... She was sent here. By doing something illegal. And there are PLENTY of different cases here. And I have done the research... Mostly built around juveniles and people of some importance. Safe to say, that if you want assume something... Anything, this school is trouble. Gang fights, threats against the school, infighting with the staff and the student body? This place is a cesspool of nonsensical politics... And now... Its you. Just a regular nerd going about his business, doing what he does best... Being a nerd. But then, I get the thinking..." **Placing his left arm over his stomach, letting his right elbow rest on forearm. His right hand holding his chin in a quizzical matter... He was even feinting thinking for a moment before speaking and letting his eyes meet Kyou's once again before speaking. "Is it that strange... Why such a harmless little nerd come back to a place like this? I believe I asked you that question in the very beginning of our little chat. I mean... for such a place like this, only seem like a last effort for some kids to make it out of high school or the like. There plenty of institutes that would love to have a kid of your talents and if anything if you really wanted to stay of trouble you could have enrolled in a different school safer than this. But before you can answer my question... Alioth, tell him why you were sent here... Exactly why you was sent here." **With Mars' placement he was about a step or two ahead of Alioth when he was speaking. When Mars said his last statement, he looked back to Ms. Algol with a small smile on his face. For whatever she may feel, she would know Mars is looking at her, carefully. ~My my Kyou... Are you really going to keep this front... I like this little game we are having but time to come clean... Little one.~

Alioth listened and took Kyou’s little rant into consideration, and sort of understood where he was coming from. Maybe she and Mars didn’t know so much about Kyou’s past, albiet her employer seemed to know a good bit about the boy in front of her. She then turned over to look at Mars, who was stating that everyone was here for some reason or another, though it may have been illegal, some people chose to be here rather then were forced to be at the school, and kyou was apparently one of those people. ‘why is he here then…? On some government job maybe, or maybe he has his own motives…?’ she wondered as she watched Kyou and Mars exchange comments and remarks back and forth like a tennis game, or a mastermind game of chess being played out in front of her.
When Mars called Alioth’s name and told her to tell her story about how she had come into the society of 552, Alioth nodded her head, brushed off the dust on her skirt, and took a deep breath. “Yes Mr. LaCroix. I was sent here because i was protecting my father, s-so he w-won’t go to prison. When i was little, my mom, left...or died, i-i don’t know…b-but my dad didn’t take it so well, a-and there were some, er, killings that he was doing at night. He w-was locked up for a few year, but then he was let go. it was fine for a few years, b-but then he started up again, o-only this time there were a lot more, over thirty in a month. Th-the police came and started to investigate, b-but i edited the evidence, a-and made more evidence that pointed at me as the killer, A-and i made sure that m-my dad wouldn’t b-be framed again b-because i edited some information about m-my father’s last crime, s-so that I would be the blame for both the crimes...sir.” she finished. it had gotten rather easier to tell this story after a few times of retelling, and now she was almost completely comfortable with
OOC: I'm so sorry about my uber late reply!!!

Kyou raised an eyebrow as Marcelis continued to talk, and it took Kyou every nerve in his body to hold back a smirk. Did he know? Did he know that Alioth had been sent to the school for having committed a "crime"? Did he know that most of the students here were "normal" but had ended up committing criminal sins? What kind of a fool did Marcelis think he was?! The boy turned his attention to Alioth as she relayed her story, the second time he'd heard it from her, now. Of course, he's actually heard the story a few times before, having been involved with "crimes" of sorts, but from the actual criminal herself? Twice now. And it was exactly the same story he'd known, and exactly the same story he'd decided to stay quiet about.
After she finished telling her story, Kyou let out a smirk. He couldn't help it. He really couldn't. "Baka," he muttered quietly with his smile. He'd look at Alioth, his expression unclear, before returning his gaze to Marcelis. "What sort of fool do you take me as? Public High School 552, one of the notorious delinquent schools of NYC. I've known that for years. And I know very well what sort of people attend this school," he added. "How could I not? I've been attending delinquent schools for almost five years now, and not to mention I've spent plenty of time among the delinquents to know what they're like. Besides, one of the reasons this school is such an ideal place for me is because of all the interesting leads I get due to the fact that I am walking among criminals."
He would let out a small sigh. "I'm not some silly child who would go to a school like this and not know what it's all about. but hey, since you seem to be so interested in my personal life, I guess it wouldn't hurt to tell you the truth. I am pretty unimportant and not worth recognition, unlike many of the higher-up students here... so yes, I knew what I was talking about when I said I was nobody important. But I never said I was going to this school just for the sake of seeking knowledge." A sudden turn of events. He'd certainly made it seem like he was nobody important and just enjoyed the school, which, in his eyes, was true. He did enjoy this school, and its many aspects, as insane as that sounded. But just as Marcelis had stated, there were plenty of better schools out there who would love a student as intelligent as he. So why was he going to a delinquent school?
"The fact of the matter is, I belong here. And who's to say just because I'm smart means that I couldn't have done anything wrong? Silly. I'm here for the same reason as many other students: I made a mistake that changed my life. The only difference is that now I continue to hide in the shadows rather than trying to make a name for myself, like many of the other students here." He'd chosen his words wisely. To the naked eye, it would seem that Kyou was foolishly telling his tale to the wrong sort of people--giving Marcelis exactly what he wanted. But at this point, Kyou had no fear in him.
Marcelis was, as Kyou considered, not a thread. And so he didn't mind sharing trivial information, but just as with anyone else, he refused to tell the full truth. "True I'm in a criminal school and true I did do something that got me here. But I'm no criminal. I've never done anything against the law, just something incredibly dangerous, is all. Funny how those two seem to be contradicting yet aren't. But honestly I don't think I have to be worried anymore. I can tell for a fact now that Mr. LaCroix here isn't a part of the criminal organization I've been so afraid of, and he's not an 'outsider' as far as school affairs go. And as such, there's no reason for him to want to find my true identity and even if he did, there would be absolutely no way he would be able to. The reason I'm here is because I'd gotten 'mixed up' in a criminal experiment that was, basically, top-secret. The only way he'd be able to know I was a part of that experiment was if 1. he was able to hack into top-secret files and uncover that old case, 2. he was able to not only hack into government files like that, but those sorts of files from another country, and 3. he knew what he was looking for. It's completely fool-proof. Even the genius Zoe was unable to do such a thing until I told her the true thing she was looking for. Only I am able to give that 'key phrase' of sorts."
Suspicion cleared. Kyou had absolutely no fear of anything. There was no way that somebody, even with the hints Kyou'd given, could figure anything out about Kyou. If they were extremely skilled they might be able to uncover his relationship to the police force, but even that would be difficult since he wasn't registered among them. One could only discover that by personally following him around and seeing Kyou work on cases as well as pick up on his relationships to the police agents. But even if someone did, miraculously, discover that... they still knew nothing. Absolutely nothing. It wasn't at all Kyou's secret identity, his torturous history, or much less the reason he was at the school. No, no. It was simply something he enjoyed getting involved with. He did, after all, love being on crime scenes. A fatal flaw he'd had since childhood. But alas, his secret was safe and there was no way it could truly be uncovered unless they got that information from Kyou himself.
He would smile one last time and ask, "So what do you think now, Mr. LaCroix? Still think you've got me figured out? I mean, you seem to think I'm hiding something of sorts. Which I suppose is true... I just admitted it. I'm not exactly the 'innocent' child I might have lead on to be." He gave a grin of sorts, a wicked grin that almost seemed sinister. "After all. I know of at least fifty different ways to commit murder and get away with it." He would then smile innocently.
"Well, well, Mr. LaCroix. Seems that this game isn't quite in the bag just yet. Are you prepared to forfeit? I've got you in Check and my king is still well-guarded," Kyou thought.
