A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

'GIRL of Steel' It's lunchtime. Oh joy. Rose didn't care much to eat as of right now, but seeing as though her sister was currently away she had no one to talk to. She didn't really bother to make friends with any of the students at this school, even though half of them were stranger than the next, she didn't desire to take interest in any other body. Life was boring, she needed some spice. She needed to meet someone who was spontaneous, different, not like the rest of these fighter addicts. Santana was no different. He wasn't all that craze for fighting, but he didn't bring any sort of... spark to her eye. She sat at a table all on her lonesome until someone sent her a text or something came up, so for the time being she would simply kick back, relax, and wait for the bell to ring for the next bell schedule. Being the new kid in a school that was ran by savages who lust for blood— every second of every hour— had little to no perks whatsoever. Everyone felt the need to fight, to draw blood for reasons that did not fill to the brim; and the so-called Pillars, the only true authority in this high school; only egged on the situations that arose over feeble matters. However, there were the few rare ones that did not indulge in the constant need of battle unless needed, and amongst them was Hiromasa Maasaki— Yusuf.
The bell for lunch had blared like a siren in the hallways of carnage, reminding some of the students that the day was almost over; others students took the bell as an indication to begin fighting. Hiromasa saw the bell as just that— a bell; and as he walked throughout the hallways with his book in hand, reading the fine literature of Edgar Allen Poe, he would stroll pass numerous battles on his way to the lunchroom. His eyes remained loyal to Poe's work, not once cheating on the words by looking at the animals beating one another to death rather viciously.
Some kids where getting jumped, others were getting stuff in lockers; neither of them done with any true reasoning behind it.
"Sometimes I wonder why I'm placed in with these monkeys." His words were mumbled under his breath while his feet guided him into the lunchroom, and just like the hallways that he once roamed, fighting too began to erupt. To be quite frank, the Japanese boy was the least bit surprise and would be lying to himself if he did not expect such of a school hoarding criminals.
Emerald hues scanned to area for a seat worthy of his presence; one that was not in the center of the hostile atmosphere that others found pleasure breathing in. And before all hope was lost, Hiromasa spotted a seat at the back near a window where a girl of blond hair resided; she didn't seem to be indulging in the bullshit around the cafe and for some reason— that lured the boy into her private web. Ebbing and flowing his way through the fights and conflicts with ease; Hiromasa would find himself sitting directly across from the interesting female, taking it upon himself to break the ice. "I take it that you're new as well?"

'GIRL of Steel' Oh? A new face ambled his way toward the beacon of where she sat. On her phone upholding an expression of nonchalance, she darted her gaze toward the man as he spoke to her. Her gaze withheld, at first, a look of bothersome and annoyance, but quickly turned into a gesturing welcome where she would wave at the bookworm with a greeting, "Hello!" and left it at that. "Sure, I don't mind, it's not as if I was doing anything else," she said with a chortle. Tittering a bit at the man's expression, she could tell he was new to school. "I'm guessing you got drafted into this hellhole as well?" she asked. Placing her right elbow upon the table, she tilted her head slightly to the right so that she could lean her head upon the sole palm of her right hand. The bookworm wasn't too bad looking, but he wasn't her type that's for sure. She wondered as to where he hailed from or how did he exactly end up here? Either way, it wasn't her place to ask; although, it had already been done. If he chose to ignore the question she wouldn't have felt any sort of way whatsoever. "My name's Rose, Rose Lockheart. Allow me to be the first to welcome you to PHS 552," she stated with a smile. "This is an everyday thing at this place, so don't feel too out of place." Her phone vibrated during the time she spoke with the boy, but ignored the messages that were being thrown toward her phone. Continuing to focus upon the boy sitting before her, she would ask one more question, "Are you by any chance a fighter as well?" she asked questionably. Something about this woman was rather appealing to the eyes of Hiromasa who sat there rather quietly, those emerald eyes burning with curiosity as he studied her frame inch-by-inch. "You can say that, he chuckled lightly as he placed a bookmark between his most recent pages. Hiromasa was certain that he stood out like a sore thumb in the midst of all this chaos, unlike the other males that were littered in tattoos and walked around with their heads held high; the senior carried himself completely differently. His clothing alone proved that; black button up shirt with white pants properly pressed had easily caught the eyes of the savages.
"Rose? That's a beautiful name, that would explain your unparalleled beauty." A soft smile would be displayed as his rose-colored lips parted to show his white pearls; his eyes staring into her own and then shifted back to the fights in the lunchroom. It was disgusting how they all behaved but deep down— in his heart, he knew he was one of them; which explained why he thought about the question asked of him.
Was Hiromasa really a fighter? His thoughts flooded with a wave of questions about himself, and before he was drowned in them; the sound of someone's bone cracking brought him back to reality.
His gaze once more falling upon Rose, "I'm Hiromasa Maasaki, but you can call me Yusuf. In terms of me being a fighter..." His tone shifted, becoming a bit more stern than before as he made sure his answer was true. "I would say that I'm a bit like these savages, just a bit more in control. After all, only criminals and juveniles end up in 552." This was true, 552 wasn't opened to the public; it was a school crafted solely for kids who could not function properly in society. "What about you, are you a fighter? They do say the prettier a girl is, the more crazy she is deep down. What did you do to end up here?" He asked curiously as digits found themselves cupping his chin while his elbow rested on the table.

'GIRL of Steel' What a charming man. His way of complimenting her easily won him points that she couldn't resist to give. He held the appearance of a charmer, a pretty boy you could say. His smile, his look, everything about him screamed perfection, a manipulator with his words. Everything physically screamed a man that upheld malicious intents, intents that she could locate with ease by just analyzing the man. He was of no interest to her, he couldn't play a part within the story she wanted to crea––no, wait, perhaps he did have a part to play? For now, she would only continue to analyze him further. "Thank you," she said with gratitude. "You have my father to thank for that," she tittered. Maasaki, Hiromasa, the Japanese were one of her favorite languages that enjoyed speaking and learning. Even to go as so far to learn how to write in kanji. She continued to listen as the man spoke of himself, saying that he was no different from the animals that roamed these halls. A light gasp of interest escaped her mouth as a thought coerced itself into her mind. Before she could speak her mind of course, he asked as to how she ended up within this cage, "Well, if I told you, I'd have to kill you," she responded with a wink. She was only kidding of course, her assassinating days were behind her. For now, she just wanted to have fun in life, and by fun this meant fucking with the balance all around her. "You could say I purposely got myself sent here. Honestly, I'm a good girl. I don't have time to play anime like some of these other children. I'm here for personal reasons, one of them involving the Pillars, but that's another story...." she stated as her eyes drifted elsewhere. "I'm more or so excited to start writing a book I've had in the works for sometime; although, it's still in the works. But once I finish it, it'll be one heck of a twist for all..." Rose would giggle at her own thought like the child she were. Rosy cheeks lighting up with the thought of getting Hiromasa in on the idea, it baffled her! She only had just met the man, why make his life a tragedy already? Whether he were a support character, the hero, or the villain? It all depended on where the boy would take her, or where she would take him! "It all depends on the characters that I'll be adding in my book, hehe! I think you'll enjoy it the most considering what sort of person you are," her eyes, narrowing at the male as she spoke. "I don't think me meeting you was by an accident in anyway at this moment. You may be new, but there's something radiating from you, something...sinister you could say? I just can't seem to put my finger on it." Rose had been poking fun at the boy at this point, toying with him as she spoke. With half of the things she spewed from her mouth one wouldn't understand as to what she truly meant, that is of course if you were a special little snowflake. Hiromasa lips couldn't contain themselves as they parted to release a boasting guffaw at the statement of killing; his white pearls exposing themselves before those hazel eyes belonging to Rose.
"I think its best you don't tell me then! Hahaha."
Shocking wasn't it? A smile and a genuine laugh was able to be birthed in a cage filled with beasts, and although Rose may have not done so intentionally, she freed the quiet-bookworm from his personal restraints. And as that laugh continued, Hiromasa would feel himself warming up to the girl before his emerald hues; however, he still would trend carefully with likes of her. Her name was Rose for a reason, and just like many beautiful roses that bloom in a garden; she too had thorns to match that striking beauty of her's. Something about her though— felt so— warm and welcoming; captivating would be an insult of a word to describe the feeling; no word in the dictionary could express the aura that emitted from her so profoundly. And before Hiromasa could truly dive in his sea of thoughts, the mentioning of a book peaked his interest; ears sharpening as well as eyes while digits intertwine unhesitatingly.
Maybe she knew, maybe she didn't; either or, the mentioning of books alone always seized the attention of the Japanese scholar, who was listening quite attentively to Rose's words. The book itself sounded promising— interesting— sinister, attributes that were identical to works written by Edgar Allen Poe; a man who indulged in writing works that swam in the pool of horror. Nonetheless, Hiromasa was so caught up in the potential of Rose's book that he barely took note of the female's statement about the Pillars.
"I would love to read this book of yours when it is done! It sounds similar to the works by my favorite author, Edgar Allen Poe— you should give him a read if you have the time. His work is rather promising, and probably one of the best writers in history, I apologize if I'm rambling. Haha, I just really enjoy good books."
As if Rose was on a roll to obtain a three peat, she once again like a moth to a flame— caught Hiromasa's interest. "Sinister?" The simplicity word puzzled his words puzzled his thoughts greatly as he pondered on it. To be quite frank, he knew deep down that he was twisted, animalistic like these savages that roamed 552; however, he was a bit different from them. The real question of the day was how could this girl he just met at lunch be capable of locating that trait off Hiromasa, one that he kept locked away deep within his being.
"Are you sure you're not talking about yourself Ms. Lockheart? After all, they do say that real recognize real— and right now we both seem to have quite the mutual understanding of one another. So would you say that you too have this sinister trait that lurks in the shadows?" His tone was solid towards her, yet it mixed with curiosity that lingered about.

'GIRL of Steel' A smile? So he did have another personality under that cold gaze, fascinating; his laugh, it held a child's riveting tone to it than her own. How innocent, a flower that hadn't yet bloomed, still within the stage of nothing but a bud––or was he? Rose would smile at his response. Chuckling at the thought of him actually wanting to read her book. She never really told anyone else, except Hattori, that she was writing a book. The thought of someone actually being interested by it inspired her a little. This little inspiration that she felt made her want to come up with a name for it as she hadn't been able to get around to it, but that was something she'd work out on her own soon enough. "Edgar Allen Poe?" she repeated, "Don't worry about it, haha. I adore his work, he's one of my top five favorite authors. His literary work truly mesmerizes me. There are many works that I've grown to love and obtain inspiration from, so much inspiration that I've come to look at life in a sort of new light, but sadly I haven't been inspired all that much as of late with most of the characters I've come to...congregate, you could say." Rose spoke with a satire tone, chuckling at what she had just said. "Honestly, if I want to write the a well-made tragedy, I'd have to actually live it––well, view it even." Rose would tilt her head a little as she drifted off into a deep thought. He spoke to her, calling her by last name. She slightly jumped out of her thought and listened as he spew on about "real recognizing real". She would laugh quite loudly at such an intriguing matter that it even made her cup her mouth for a moment with her right palm. "You're hilarious, me, sinister? I'm but a humble gal living in the big apple. There's nothing sinister about me!" she defended. "Although, you could also that I'm a girl who's curiosity knows no bound," she giggled. "Santana would probably find you more intriguing than I do," she added in. Music: MUSIC --- OUTFIT --- TAGS LORE OOC I posted! |

She knew of Edgar Allen Poe's work? Never in a million years would Hiromasa expect to find another Poe reader inside the barbaric cage of 552; such a revelation had not only astonished him; but also intrigued him notably. Staring into those hazel eyes with amazement, the Japanese Senior could not help but to listen to each word that escaped her plumpish rose colored lips with eagerness; each statement seeming to only enthrall him more.
Rose Lockheart, the name was forever engraved into the mind of Hiromasa; she had indeed left her imprint on the boy who had now grown quite fond of her solely due to conversing over literary work. Humanity had proven over the years that technology had captured the interests of teens in this generation; and finding individuals that didn't speak about social media was nearly extinct. Though right before his emerald hues— those green optics that lit up with joy— was another intellectual person; the feeling that washed over Hiromasa was— to say the least— refreshing. He did not know why or how, but for some reason his body took a mind of its own which would explain the said action that took place. His unoccupied hand reached out to touch the female's own, digits wrapping around her palm meekly.
"I must admit Rose, you are truly a blessing in disguise. From the way your carry yourself in a conversation to your ability of understanding the true nature of literary work, it is— refreshing. A rose that was capable of growing from the concrete and undamaged by the madness that surrounds in on a daily bases. And I am sure that in a school like this, you will find all the inspiration for your book that you need. "
Kindness was woven into his words as he soon released his grip on her; the realization of how his body reacted on impulse causing him to be quite embarrassed.
But soon enough that feeling would be seized by another; curiosity. Who was this Santana she spoke of so proudly? Her lover? Eyes that once danced with the tune of delight had not shifted in same direction as Hiromasa's feelings. "Who is this Santana? Could he be your boyfriend? It would make sense, a girl like you most likely wouldn't be single in a school like this." His words subtly carried a hint of jealously that did its best to go unnoticed to even the finest of ears; nonetheless, the Japanese boy waited for a response from the delicate Rose that was about to explain this Santana being.
