your time is now
your number has been called
Honestly, some things made her want to wince. Moana had been on the sidelines, watching the entire time - she didn't want to bend or break or even move. She had been curious as anyone else about this brand new 'student dean' but she didn't want to see what happened next. She had a shop class to attend, and to be fair, this entire situation didn't really involve her. But what was becoming a commotion - daily thing, sadly - was starting to annoy her. With a few steps, she slipped into another hallway, finding herself walking down to the courtyard. People generally left the shop area alone, mainly because Moana had some great big things in there, that and the teacher was very strong. In any case, she was now back outside, her lunch in hand. Throwing herself on the ground, she leaned against the wall, letting out a long sigh. Running a hand through her long locks, she gave a small hum to calm herself down. Honestly, this school was a pack of dogs wanting to eat each other. That always happened with mafia kids, criminals and shit like that. This school was really bad for that kind of thing, and to be fair, she often felt out of place. Merely because she was more normal - but never mind the dark clouds that she hid with a bright smile friend - but adding to the fact that she wasn't interested in showing her muscles off at the first chance she got. Honestly, some people downright scared her with how eager they were. That didn't matter in the end, as she heard someone was coming by, and she really hoped it wasn't some asshole, since she wasn't in the mood right now for someone of that caliber currently. | When nothing goes right.. I'll go left |
“That was pointless..” That thought rang throughout the redheaded cranium that sat atop Leo’s shoulders. He had just finished up the assembly for the “New Student Dean” announcement. All students were required to attend, though it was blatantly obvious that a lot skipped out. Right now, Leo wished he had been one of those who did pass on the event. All he did the entire time was sit in the back of the room and watch. He zoned out a couple of times, but the ruckus caused by several of the other students present brought him back to life. Not only was it virtually pointless for Leo to find out who this new person was, but he also had to deal with watching other students make fools of themselves. In his mind, he could’ve been doing something more productive with his time, like getting missing school work done. Or reading. Reading manga.
That’s exactly what he was gonna go do. He had a volume on him already. He was gonna go find a nice, quiet spot outside of the school itself, plop down, and indulge himself in a compelling story. This was the part of the day that he looked forward to the most. He actually had an excited look plastered to his face, unlike the usual stoic expression that he wore like a mask.
As Leo rounded a corner, his shoelace snagged onto a broken pipe that jut out of place from the wall. He nearly fell out of his shoes and slammed face first on the concrete. And he would have, had it not been for his exceptional reflexes. His palms rested flat against the ground, his head slowly rising upwards to look directly at a young woman sitting against the wall. She was looking right back at him. His cheeks washed over a deep crimson, matching his blazing hair. How embarrassing it must’ve been to witness his clumsiness.
Leo jerked himself backwards, frantically struggling to pull his shoelace from the pipe and book it out of there before the woman had a chance to speak.
