(OOC: Taking over Yuy Corporation as Valo is the only remaining heir. It will be henceforth known as Hyperion. As for the AH reward, I'd like two custom tickets if possible.)
Yuy Corp.
A strong testament to the modern world and a pioneer in technology that improved every day life. However, unbeknownst to the public, the Corporation also dealt with arms manufacturing and weapons construction. There were many facets of life that Yuy Corp. affected, and it wasn't a stretch to state that the vast majority of the public took some benefit from the company's mere existence.
But alas, the corporation was now left without its blood heirs. The two prodigal sons had disappeared, which left any related to them in turmoil. While family ties had been shattered, this left only one possible heir: the adopted son, Adrian.
Throughout the years, Adrian had proven himself to be most befitting of the noble name that was bestowed upon him. He acted with class and carried himself with an air that befit his standing. He succeeded in all aspects, whether it was athleticism, his studies, or his overall dealings for the company. He had started early with their Research and Development team and moved up to become the head of the department at the early age of 16. Everything seemed in order, but there was always one glaring issue.
And it was that he wasn't a true heir to the company. No matter how hard he worked, or how much he proved himself, he would always remain in his brothers' shadow. And it had frustrated Adrian to no end, particularly when they acted in the way that they did, without any cares, without any humility. Try as he might, Adrian had always been unable to convince his brothers to do their part. Maybe it just didn't suit them. Maybe it wasn't the type of life that they wanted to lead.
And for the longest time, Adrian was okay with that. He didn't want to inherit the company, it seemed to be such an overwhelming responsibility and it wasn't his place to do so. But Shugo and Soran were both gone, God knows where, and he did not know if they were even alive. But at this point in time... whether they were alive or not was the least of Adrian's worries. There was a new threat on the horizon, one that had already started to take away all that he had left. And he was going to give his all to stop this threat.
Valo walked into Yuy Corp through the front entrance, his Dragon Talon sheathed within the Sky Guard being held in his left hand. The sheath emanated a bright, blue light, and it was warm to the touch. It almost looked as if lightning sparked from the guard on occasion, but it was there to keep the Talon's power in check.
"Mr. Morei, sir. Welcome back. What brings you here today?" The man at the front desk asked, and Valo spoke quietly before moving on ahead. "Today's a big day."
He would enter the elevator, waiting for the doors to close before he looked at the keypad. Rather than entering one of the shown floor numbers, Valo would enter a code to access the top floors, which were hidden away in secret to protect the officials up above. As the elevator moved up to the very top floor, a door would be there before him, heavily reinforced and barred by a retina scanner. Valo would scan his eye, and the door would open for him, before he walked in to see the board of officials for Yuy Corp, who were all seated at a large, rectangular table situated in an enormous, well furnished room, as one would expect of such a place.
The CEO of Yuy Corp was within, with several other high ranking YC officials, and his brow rose when he saw Valo walk in. "Adrian? Why are you here? I don't remember sending for you." He asked, confused. Valo smiled and sat down at the other end of the table from them all, "Oh, I just came to check up on the company. After all, I'm the only heir left, so I think it best if I were more... well informed of what transpires up here."
The men and women in the room shuffled uncomfortably, as the CEO looked at Valo, unease visible in his eyes.
"But Adrian, it was not long ago that you stated that you had no desire to inherit the company when it belonged to your brothers."
"I changed my mind."
"And you are not of Yuy blood, you're illegitimate--"
"Oh, writing me off so soon. You see, I don't think you're in any position to argue semantics at this point."
"But--"
"But my brothers are long gone, dead or missing. So you're stuck with me. Is that a problem? I was always the responsible one. The one you wanted my brothers to look up to as an example of a proper heir."
"This isn't the proper time to discuss this."
"It is now."
It was at this point that several armed men burst into the room, aiming pistols at Valo. The smile didn't leave his face, and he didn't bother to so much as turn his head to look at them. They wanted to stand in the way of what was his, but unfortunately for them, it was a truly stupid decision to make. He sat there, unmoving, listening to the men around him... he counted six of them. This would be a piece of cake.
"Well, at least you're making this interesting. It's a shame though, that you chose to do this the painful way."
Kicking off from the table, Valo flipped backwards, his right hand drawing the Dragon Talon from its sheathe. He would quickly swing the blade all around him before landing in a crouching position on the ground. The guns in all of the men's hands would fall to the floor, sliced and unusable. As Valo stood to his feet, he visibly channeled dark energy through his right arm, facing the CEO and firing a blast of dark lightning at the gun which he had just pulled out, striking it and causing it to explode in his hand. He screamed in pain, and Valo merely looked on as he groveled at the table. The rest of the council were too scared to make any moves, which was his intent. Keeping his blade raised and an eye on the men around him, he began to speak.
"I don't think I need to clarify, but I wasn't asking for your permission. You're handing over the corporation to me."
"You... crazy little shit! What makes you think you can get away with this?!"
"...That."
He pointed his sword towards the window, the District's walls visible and blocking the skyline, even this high up.
"There's no order anymore. Only chaos and anarchy. And yet, here you are up in this building, twiddling your thumbs and ignoring the bigger picture. But look outside! Look all around you! We're trapped within these walls, and while you sit here, you're making yourselves out to be nothing more but lambs to the slaughter. You aren't equipped to handle the horrors within these walls. If I didn't come in here, someone else would have. And I assure you, they wouldn't be as merciful."
"And you think that you're any better off? You think taking this company by force is the right thing to do?"
"Oh, trust me... I do."
Thirty of Hyperion's men would swarm in through the doors, fully decked out in tactical gear, aiming their weapons at the people inside the room, masks hiding all of their faces. They kept their weapons trained on the men around Valo in particular, and his gaze pierced through that of the CEO as if he was drilling into his soul.
"I'm doing what needs to be done. This company's resources will be dedicated to safeguarding the lives of those within these walls that need our help. And towards taking down that abomination of wall that cages us in. And I'm sure with this company at my fingertips, I will be able to pull many more strings than I did before." He looked around the room at the other council members and the men being held up. "Now, you all will be working for me. I trust that there's no objections?" He asked with a smile, and they all began to nod, too afraid to speak out.
The CEO stood up and began to protest, and Valo pointed his blade at him. "As for him... take him away to the bunker within Helios. I'll be dealing with him later."
Valo's men nodded and three of them would move over, two grabbing the CEO on either side and a third with his weapon trained on his back to escort him out of the room. They duct taped his mouth shut and proceeded to leave, and Valo sheathed the Dragon Talon once more, the electrical energy surrounding the blade starting to intensify greatly and requiring the Sky Guard to keep it in check.
He held the Guard in his hand as he turned around to face the others in the room, seeming more approachable now, but they were all still afraid of what he might do.
"You'll still be allowed to maintain your positions within the company. I'm not so cruel as to throw you out into the streets within this district so that you may be torn apart. No, your lives serve more of a purpose here. Those who wish to leave may do so without any trouble, but I cannot promise you Hyperion's protection from what awaits you outside this building."
Everyone in the room looked at one another nervously, but no one would stand up to leave. Despite being frightened of Valo, it seemed they feared what was outside even more. That smile would place itself on Valo's face once more.
"Good. You'll all be assigned within the lower levels of the building to the departments that you work best in. Research and Development, however, that stays with me. You are to have more hands on time with the rest of the employees, and do your best to help those that Hyperion brings in for safe refuge within these walls." There wasn't any response, but a lot of scared nodding. "You are dismissed."
Hyperion's men would move aside and usher the other people out of the room, escorting them to their proper departments. Several of them would stay with Valo, namely technicians, as they awaited further instruction.
"I want you to keep an eye on them, just in case someone decides to try anything underhanded. Those who do will be reunited with their former boss. And those who comply... will be rewarded. I'll be changing a lot of the passwords to the locks and rooms throughout this building, and only Hyperion personnel will be able to access the majority of the building unless I say so. Oh, and... we'll be changing the name. The current one is... a little tacky, don't you think?"
Valo gestured for them all to leave the room, and he would continue to look out the window, staring at the wall. Soon, but not soon enough, he would see that wall torn to the ground and the inhabitants of the district freed and able to return to a normal life. Soon, he will have his hands wrapped around Luca's neck, strangling the life from his body as he gets his revenge for Zoe. He didn't know how a man like Luca could live with himself, killing high school students in cold blood and claiming to be such an upstanding member of society. Maybe 552's students were beaten down, but they weren't broken. They wouldn't be broken. They were going to rise up and end this threat just like the rest of them. Hyperion was once seen as heroes by some of the public, but were now branded as just another problem group within the district and domestic terrorists. He hoped that somewhere out there, Vivi was far away from this mess and she was safe.
As for Hyperion... If the world was against them, so be it. It wouldn't be fair otherwise.
