Post by Kazuya Hikari on Jan 20, 2016 2:25:19 GMT -5
As soon as he reached the floor the crate had landed on, he would see familiar, and not so familiar faces already there. This was not in the least bit surprising to him at all. Now the next problem that sprung up: who would be claiming the crate, and what would be done with it. Hearing footsteps coming up from behind him, Kazuya would turn his head slightly to look behind him, seeing Knuckles arrive not too long after him, and with back-up it seemed. Despite the alliance set up, there was simply no way Kazuya would let Apex have the supplies to themselves. If it could be distributed among the factions, that would be the ideal outcome. But it would never be that easy.
He didn't want this to come to a fight, but with Macht starting to leave with the crate, it seemed it was becoming an inevitable thing. Shoving the candy-crazed jester aside, possibly putting him through a wall or two, Kazuya would step forward, moving to stand by his leader and friend. His eyes turning from gray to a sharp orange, he would not use his Qi right away, instead waiting for the right moment, while keeping his guard up.
"Sorry Knuckles, but I don't think anyone here is going to just let you walk out with the crate, no questions asked. If there are in fact, supplies in there, Apex shouldn't be the only ones to benefit from it."

feel the light shining in the dark of the night | As he got to where the supply dropped, he was just in time to take sight of Macht as he turned away with the supply crate in hand. Hearing Kazuya's statement, it seems like Apex has decided to keep the supplies to themselves. "He's right. Of all the people here, ya'll Apex people are probably the ones with the most supplies in store." He'd manage to say with enough guts and foolishness. "It won't hurt to share won't it?"
The albino would then point his fist towards the supplies, if Macht were to continue walking away, he'd fire a chain and grapple made of raw energy from his ring towards the supply. As the chain and grapple would attach to the crate, he'd then wrap the chain around his hand and tug it in towards him forcefully to hopefully stop Macht and most importantly the supplies from moving. "Let's all talk this through first, and reach a common agreement, shall we?"

Items used:
Crimson Cerberus Ring: This ring allows the user to manifest a grapple and chain made of raw, red qi energy. This grapple can latch onto the enemy and pull the enemy towards the user. I would follow the others as they moved up the skyscraper, keeping an eye on Valo as I made my way up wordlessly. If anyone so much as thought to attack him, they were going to be taken down before they could think again. I stayed about 20 feet behind him as I walked. Once we made it to the top floor, I noticed quite a few familiar faces. I decided to let them talk things through, but if that didn't go as planned, then I decided I would destroy anyone that got in LG or Hyperion's way. I stood towards the back observing things, pulling out my flask. Keeping an eye on everyone, I would take a long sip of the Jack.
Heh... does Knuckles really think anyone will stand down and let him take all of the supplies?
As Kazuya shoved aside Rochi, I would catch him before he went through any walls. However I would harness the momentum of Kazuya's shove by rotating with it, and throwing Rochi out the window of the skyscraper, accompanied with blood spikes. He would hopefully travel clear out the window, across the street and slam against the outside of an adjacent skyscraper and the blood spikes would pin him to the skyscraper. I stepped forward a few paces towards Macht.
"Put the crate down Starke."
Blood of the King: Kaiser's blood spikes had infected Shugo's, resulting in him able to control a bit of his own blood. For one post per 20 INT, Shugo is able to fire blood spikes from his hands that deal 125% of his total INT in damage. The speed of the projectile is equal to his INT. Additionally, upon reaching their target, the spikes electrify and explode, dealing splash damage equal to 50% of the user's total INT in an area 5 feet around the epicenter.

The screech of the crate woke Leon who immediately moved to hit Macht, slightly playfully, but in frustration.
"I'm trying to sleep."
He ignored everyone else and most of what was going on until he saw Aldritch.
"Help Macht take the loud thing. I'm tired."

Before Valo could reach the crate, he skid to a stop when he saw an old friend.
"Levi... Glad to see that you're still alive."
He seemed on his guard, and rightfully so, it was hard to tell who you could trust right now. Valo too kept his guard up, but he had no intention of fighting Levi in a place like this, not in these circumstances. Hand holding his sword's guard tightly, he didn't draw his blade yet, but would respond to Levi's inquiry.
"Your guess is as good as mine, but in the best case scenario... it'd be food."
The next few events were quite a handful. Valo was also keeping his eye on the screaming Rochi, surprised that even one of them were still alive, before a bunch of other people showed up. In came Knuckles, the Blood Dragon, stating that Apex was taking the crate for themselves, and Kazuya and one of LG's to oppose that very notion. Macht came in to drag the crate out wordlessly, but others were already attempting to stop him. A familiar voice would ring in his ears as he looked at the person who attempted to stop Macht... but Valo would take this moment to address Knuckles.
"Sorry, but that doesn't work in our best interests. How can we trust Apex to be fair about this? There are many people starving throughout the district... and if there's food in there, that can help everyone out, and be a much bigger help against the Apostles when morale is kept high. We either split it here... fairly, or it will be taken by force."
While the odds were certainly against them, there was a good number of people here who he was sure didn't want Apex to take everything for themselves. Members of Hyperion, LG, and people in the district in general needed help, not just Apex.
"Consider your actions carefully... Blood Dragon."

Unfortunately, the strands weren't strong enough to actually hit Leon, but she had the satisfaction of imagining the hell she would give him for not duking it out -like a manly man among manly men- on the not-quite battle field. No matter, she would continue whatever she needed to do.

Rochi was wanting to see the candies in the box till some strong fellow lifted the box, which made Rochi angry.
“THOSE CANDIES ARE NOT YOURS, RED HAIRED MAN, THEIR OURS”
The jester was hungry for food and it wasn’t okay that some guy just takes everything. Which is why Rochi started to cry a bit.
“ROUGH WINDS DO SHAKE THE DARLING BUDS OF MAY, SO WHY MUST YOUR HEART BE FULL OF ROUGH WINDS!!!”
It was these moments that made Rochi go into super drama mode, and when he does go into super drama mode, it’s better to leave and not deal with the drama, even Alex hated those moments.
“WHY SUCH EVIL RESTS IN THY HEART OF THOU, WHY NOT SWEET LOVELY FLOWER FRAGRANCES OF APRIL MEADOWS.”
It was then that people started tossing the kid across the place, Rochi just watching with eyes full of despair for his loved candies. Then, it looked as if he was the maiden in need of rescuing, for he was stuck at the side of the building, the only thing holding him were blood spikes. The jester just grin happily, and for the first time in his life, he knew the meaning of indoor voices.
“Jester to Dragon, the crate supply has reached the intended target. Others are wanting the same crate as well, so be careful. Also, help me get off of these spikes that hold me to the side of the building,” the purple haired kid talked to his microphone attached to his yellow and purple tie. Now it was time to continue his act.
“HEEELP ME!!! DON’T LET A CHILD BE STUCK AT SUCH DANGEROUS HEIGHT!!”

Oh bother, I'm being sent to burn the place down...how amusing. Orders coming from the Dragon itself, this must be the real deal. Walking up towards the unfinished skyscraper with a cart full of flammable liquids, hidden by a cloth to avoid suspicion. Once inside the building, I looked around for a maintenance elevator for how else would the workers get their supplies up to the floor they needed to finish it. Using the stairs was a no for them and for me as well. Getting the cart on and myself, I activated the lift to go almost to the top, but not yet to the roof. It was missing that boring elevator music and it was making a bit of unwanted sounds. Oh well, good thing I closed the doors, so once I pass the floor with the crate, no one will stop me.
Reaching my desired floor, I opened the iron gate doors and started doing my job. First, I got out one of the makeshift bombs and placed it on the floor, surrounding it by the flammable liquid. Next I repeat step one 2 more times before heading back to the maintenance elevator and activating it, throwing the match with its flame into the pool before the elevator went back down. It will be only a matter of seconds before...
BOOM!
The building seemed to shake a bit, dust falling off, but it was not over yet...
BOOM!
Looking at my watch, the next one should explode in a couple of seconds. If this goes perfectly, the Dragon will be able to retrieve the crate. I just waited patiently for the maintenance elevator to continue its course to the ground floor so I can work on phase 2.

What the..?
I turned my head towards the sounds of the elevator door opening. When I saw a suspicious figure come out and begin placing things on the ground. Now it might be because I'm pretty damn smart, but I realized that probably wasn't very good. When he lit the match, I was sure of it. Lightning pulsated around my left hand as I shot a blast of blue lightning at the elevator doors to blow them off. Quickly behind the blast followed a blue shield made of lightning. After the elevator doors had been forced open, the lightning shield would push the explosives down into the elevator shaft, more than likely rupturing the elevator cord. Of course the emergency brakes for the elevator would kick on, but the person inside the elevator would more than likely be trapped inside.
From there, I would turn back around to continue watching what the others were going to do. Uncapping my flask once more, I would look through the room as I took another long sip of the Jack. It seemed that Valo wanted to follow an attempt at diplomacy. If that was the route that he wanted to take, I would follow. But I knew him... I knew that he understood this wasn't going to go down without a fight.
Infinite Ring: Allows the user to perform a burst attack of electrical energy. Post by Siobhan Arden on Jan 20, 2016 23:00:16 GMT -5
Siobhan clambered up the final steps to the main floor, trying to catch her breath from the sprint up. Pausing momentarily at the top, she focused on taking deep breaths and not the idiots clambering over a metal box in front of her. Dangle a piece of meat in front of starved dogs and the issue no longer becomes one of hunger but dominance. Righting her stance, the girl flitted her eyes about those in the room. Mutely a few affiliations filtered through her mind, but everyone in the room had the gaunt edge to their stares, a haughty expression caused by panic grating against their instinct to come together in the midst of chaos. Alliances were meaningless at this point because everyone in this room was on the same side. Whether or not they saw it yet.
"We're all juts high school students and yet here we are, fighting over our next meal. What kind of reformation is this but blatant suffrage?"
Growling to herself, Siobhan straightened and drew closer to Macht and Knuckles, both under fire from multiple sides by Apex's rash claiming of the box. At the very least, Siobhan wanted everyone to calm moderately before leaders started hashing out all-or-death speeches.
"Macht, put the box down but don't let it go anywhere."
She would hope that at least he would see that his possession was agitating the others in the room. Tensions would ease if at least his hold waned until they could find a clear line to which everyone could agree on. Since when have I become a peacemaker? Siobhan looked to Valo, who she was hoping with his delicate alliance to Apex and consent of the slumbering leader on the floor, would side with her to which she pleaded to everyone, not just the leaders present.
"Valo, we aren't the Apostles. Apex has the most secure and best housing for this. I understand the concern, but do you think I'd let people ripped from their homes and security starve? Trust me. We don't know if the Apostles are going to close in on us at any point. Waiting and distrusting others puts us all at risk. Someone has to take the position of leader. Everyone here is on the same side."

Levi was standing right next to the crate and his eyes snapped right to Macht as he attempted to lift the crate. Macht's physical strength was no secret, so for him to have only been able to scrape it across the ground, meant that either the crate itself was extremely heavy or whatever was inside was incredibly dense. Either way, Levi was not comfortable with Macht taking it without consulting them all.
Not yet you don't...
As Macht's metal arm seemed to magnetize to the crate and began to lift, Levi placed his hands on top of the crate and pushed down firmly, holding it down. His eyes bore deep into the German's, letting him know that until they had come to an understanding, the crate was going no where. He let the others speak for him, allowing him to pay attention to he strength contest that he was sure he was only winning due to the weight of of the crate helping him. His focus also spread to Ira, watching carefully for her to possibly try to interfere.

| It shouldn't have happened but you let it Now you're down on the ground screaming medic The only thing that comes is the post-traumatic stresses Shields, body armors and vests don't properly work That's why you're in a locker full of hurt The enemy within and all the fires from your friends The best medicine's to probably just let it win These battle scars don't look like they're fading |
Aldritch's chain was only a slight tug, not close to enough to keep Macht from continuing his advance. All he had to do was jerk forward slightly, and if Aldritch kept his hold on the thing he'd be pulled several yards toward Macht effortlessly. As for Levi, the application of weight was smart enough to keep things from moving, but he didn't weigh nearly enough, nor was he strong enough, to inhibit Macht's ability to properly carry the crate so long as he had it magnetized to his arm (Str check, 70 vs equivalent of 274). Still, he humored the lot by setting the crate down - harshly. The moment the crate hit the floor, the ground would crack and crumble. He ignored Yuy - a man he'd thought died again in the attack on the Orochi base - and Siobhan, and shrugged off Leon's mock hit, continuing to press his weight harshly into the crate. Anyone nearby him would feel the floor beginning to give way, and as the warning implied, it would break under his force. While midair, he would shoulder-check it as hard as he could while still holding onto it, to propel it out from the building with both him and Ira accompanying it. It would slam harshly into the ground and slide for several meters undoubtedly, but it would be out of the unstable tower and away from everyone else. Macht was really resisting the urge to use force on these fuckers. How they had the nerve to say they didn't trust him was way beyond his understanding, considering everything he'd done in the last year was save people, and the evident suspicion from even Levi and Valo angered him. He didn't have many friends, but two of the men he held in high esteem clearly did not trust him when his actions had proven time and again he was one of the most trustworthy among the lot, if not the single most trustworthy person himself. Still, he wouldn't hold back for long. The moment someone decided to chase after him and Ira, he would put them down, no matter who it was. "Let's get out of here," he spoke to Ira, then casually began to pull the crate away from the scene. It wasn't magnetized for the moment, but it would be if someone came after them. Ability Name: Magnetized Projectiles Ability Description: When lifting a metallic object with either prosthetic limb, Macht can treat said object as being 1/2 its normal weight for as long as he's holding it. Only affects himself. (Currently inactive) tags: too fuckin many

Post by Hemera/Nyka Day on Jan 21, 2016 15:43:03 GMT -5
It seemed Nyka was late to the party. She had been in her boarded up home when she heard the chopper making its way across the district. She had run out and saw the general direction of its intention location: the middle of the district on one of the taller buildings. Luckily, she'd only been lifting weights in the silence of the day and was already dressed for a run. Quickly, she slammed her door closed and rushed out to the street, where she began a light jog. This turned into an easy run, then a heavy run, and finally, a sprint. She could sprint for a good five minutes before needing to slow down. It was for this reason it took her all this time to get there. She took the stairs by two or three steps, tripping a few times but catching herself. Once she made her way to the floor she could hear voices from, she kicked the door out and saw everyone that was there. It appeared that the lowly citizens of District 552 was provided with one whole crate of who knows what. It could be food or something else. Everyone was fighting over it. Nyka wanted the shit for herself, but that wasn't going to fly here. She could tell quite a few people were stronger than her just by their demeanor. They were confident, sure of themselves. Looking around, she saw Kazuya and a few people she'd seen but never met. A red-haired male and a darker haired one, appearing to keep the case down, seemed to have hands on the case. Realistically, it was better to ration off the items. As the people talked, Nyka quietly made her way over towards the case and casually sat by it. She leaned back where she could see everyone and placed her feet atop the case to help hold it down. Once she heard that there was a fortified place that the case could be taken to, she silently agreed. They should work together to get this problem solved. Nyka hated to admit it, but she needed the help. Clearing her throat, Nyka said, "Look, I don't know who these groups are, but if there's a place that IS fortified enough to keep it safe, why not place it there and work together to get the shit rationed off? This situation we're in sucks ass, but that only means we need to at least get over ourselves and our preconceptions to be able to survive. Right?" She knew she was risking incitement by her words, but she had to have some input on this.

"I suppose you misunderstood me. I never said I wanted to keep it all to myself- Or to Apex alone. And who's to say you don't want for yourself, Sky Dragon?"
While he spoke, Macht had settled the crate down, the unstable concrete floor immediantly threatening the stability of the floor they all stood on. And then Macht applied his weight onto the crate, the floor giving way to his friends mass and might.
Knuckles would leap without saying anything else, landing on the edge of the crate and grabbing hold, his eye directed toward the group as Macht shoulder checked the crate and Knuckles took it for a ride to the ground, vision shifting upward as it crashed into the ground, watching intently to see how the others reacted.
Knuckles understood what Macht was doing and he had no intentions of interrupting. He would help his friend retrieve this crate at any cost. Crouched on top of the crate in anticipation for a battle he would have preferred to not have, Knuckles would call out.
"It doesn't have to be like this, Hyperion- Valo, we're stronger together!"

Valo grimaced as Siobhan showed up. Things definitely weren't going to be easy with her here, and he didn't want to turn his blade on her at all. He listened to her talk, keeping his eyes on everyone else just in case. The explosions throughout the building were a little unsettling, but he showed no sign of it affecting him in the least.
"Looks like your leaders don't want to sit still." He'd say to Siobhan as they made their way out of the building in the most over-the-top and dramatic fashion possible, he gave them points for the style. He'd turn towards Kazuya. "The building is too unstable, let's get out of here."
He'd quickly turn towards Siobhan, the floor around them starting to cave in as he grabbed her and he would leap from the building from the adjacent window. Partway through the fall, energy would channel through his feet and he'd begin to run down the side of the building, approaching and jumping towards the ground in a safe fashion. He was quite a distance from Macht and Knuckles, and the crate, but that was fine with him. He sat Siobhan down, her words ringing in his ears, as Knuckles called out from the distance.
"You're right, Huntsman." Valo would call out towards Knuckles as he walked towards him. "We are stronger together, which is why I'd rather not fight you right now."
With the girl on Macht's shoulder, he guessed Apex and LG were in cahoots, this was definitely too dangerous a battle to fight on his own. He had to trust in Apex, the other Dragons, and Siobhan. He wasn't very fond of the way they just did things to their own pleasing, shoving Hyperion to the side. He also didn't feel like their safehouse was any safer than what Hyperion could provide. He only hoped their words were true, but the way they handled things... made him worried they could be a danger later.
And fighting friends was far harder than any tyrant.
