{ THEMENTORSYSTEM}
The mentor program is an out of character program that aids the players by enlisting the help of (willing) older members to integrate members into the plot, understand the systems, and build their characters.
Older members will make a thread and fill out the form below, stating what they are willing to teach, and how they are willing to help. It's up to the other members to post in the thread the older member created, if they want that particular member as a mentor.
Older members must pass a basic system, plot or building of characters test to be able to aid the newer members, but the tests are generally simple and ensure that the older member have their bases covered, such that no misinformation would be spread about.
To take the test, please PM this account. You will be sent a list of questions you'll have to answer, with a 24 hour time limit, from the very next time you are online, with that account you PMed this account with.
To protect the older member's privacy, none of the answers on the test that the member take will be revealed to anyone, but staff.
Rewards
In effort to encourage more people to join this system, we devised a reward system that gives rewards every time a particular milestone is reached, for both the mentor and the student.
This is generally a player-driven system, in which the players take initiative to either ask, or be willing to aid others.
Please note that the older members will not be 'making public classes'. This is tailored for a 1 v 1 communication between the helper and the helped, and the timing, schedule, and methods of communication are entirely up to the involved parties' discretion.
Note:
- A student may have up to 2 mentors.
- If a student feel that the current mentor they have are not the best for them, they may politely ask to be the student or another mentor. The mentor will still be rewarded, depending on the amount of work they do, up to the student's leave.
- If a mentor fails to act as a proper mentor, and stop helping the student, the mentor cannot take up another student without taking another test. The second test, however, will be harder than the first.
- If a mentor feel that they are not the best mentor for a certain student, they may politely tell the student so, and the student may pick another mentor.
- Please be respectful to each other.
- Thank you for reading this! If you have any inquires, feel free to private message me, and I'll be happy to help out!
