A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

"I try to train as much as possible, I'm also not one for brute force i'm fast but I don't have much stamina, but i'm not weak." Grace shrugs and stares at Ethen waiting for him to say about his fighting style and such.

Since the weird hand shake, Ethen continued to shift his gaze from one girl too the other.
He was smirking at how excited Ruby seemed. But what really amused him was the:
'Are either of you experienced with fighting?-- Ethen seems to be,'
!!! He didn't know why she thought that - and it was probably just the scar, but he took it as a compliment.
'I look like a fighter to her!? //// is it my arms?? Do i look tough?? HA'
He was only so surprised because him being an experienced fighter would be the opposite of the truth.... Also, he's incredibly easy to flatter. And Grace trains? Well he didn't...
---
"I... don't have a lot fighting experience... other then that on a school yard heh... I think I do street fighting then..?" He hoped he didn't sound as uncertain to them about that last part as he sounded to himself...
"Trust me, i know the basics though" 'Trust me', because he needed to sound more convincing somehow. Nervousness was creeping up on him already - just after a simple question.

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X “Heh,” Ruby chuckled lightly. “He seems flustered,” she observed, trying to hide her entertainment. “Well then, that’s pretty good news,” she said when Grace explained she trained and that Ethen seemed to have a bit of experience. “I’m a master at swordplay, and I’m decent with hand-to-hand combat. Seems like that’s where we’ll start off with you two… Since neither of you mentioned a preference to weapons.” She paused. “Then again, every time I’ve fought someone with hand-to-hand combat, I’ve always ended up getting pinned… I never seem to be able to get around that…” She disregarded it. After all, she was going to teach them what fighting skills she did know, and she actually hoped that they’d be stronger than her in that field.
But even then, regardless of how she was weaker in that fighting style, she was sure she knew enough from all the times she’d been defeated, and she was sure she could at least train them a little in that area.
“I don’t really know where would be a good place to train. The Titans used to have a forest of sorts to their domain, and it’s likely been abandoned by now… But still, I don’t think I have the right to bring other people there--even if everyone does seem to be gone. But we will need somewhere kind of secret to meet up, and as far as training goes, just about anywhere should be fine so long as there’s some space to move around… Even then, it’s important to learn how to use your surroundings to your advantage if you aren’t in an open space…” She contemplated the possible places where they could occasionally meet up, but for now nothing came to mind.
If she were to be honest with herself, she didn’t think that she’d get this far on her first try. So after their first training session, or at least the first time they planned and practiced some things, she would then figure out some more of the details…
“Heh, I ought to give Musashi more credit, being a leader takes more than I thought,” she muttered under her breath. Not exactly that she thought herself a leader, but now she knew what it was like. She snapped her fingers and then said, “Alright. I’ll start to figure out more of the details later. For now… I want you to show me what you’re capable of. Not just words. Actually show me.” She looked around. “This area is kind of small and not the best place to practice sparring for beginners, but it’ll have to do for now. Besides, this isn’t even practice yet. I’ll train you two more when I find a good place to do so. Right now I just want to see what you’re actually capable of.” She nodded.
“After all. If I can actually see how they fight, then I can take this information to figure out their skills, flaws, and how to develop them more on a more personal level. This is entirely just to see what they’re capable of,” she thought, before grinning. “So go on. Give me your best shot--both of you.” She was going to go easy on them, considering that she could probably break their ribs in one hit if she wanted... Tous les misérable sont enfants de D I E U? Grace had just been told to hit her voluntarily, Grace lunged at Ruby but instead of full on hitting her Grace rolled and threw punch at her stomach still crouching on the ground. (Hope this is enough to go on )

'For now… I want you to show me what you’re capable of.' 'oh no' 'I just want to see what you’re actually capable of.' 'noooooo' 'So go on. Give me your best shot--both of you.' 'uhhhhhg, shoot...'
"wow.. oka--" Grace was already lunging towards Ruby before he could finish... Lucky him -
Without another word, he stepped back, on his way out the alley way (To watch from there).

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X “A pretty straight-forward attack,” Ruby observed as Grace lunged and rolled, and then redirected her blow to a less apparent place. “Redirection, good,” she thought, lowering her arm to block Grace’s punch with her forearm. She looked at Ethen who seemed to be standing back from the fight.
“I can handle you both at the same time,” she said calmly. “It may even be good to fight by the side of another person,” Ruby calmly pushed Grace back with the force of her forearm. She was gentle enough to not send the girl flying or anything, but certainly to establish a bit of distance. “Ethen, you can’t be afraid to fight me.” She looked at him seriously. “Perhaps he’s not quite what I thought… even then, I know that he’s got potential. I can see it in his eyes.”
She prepared herself for another attack--unsure if Grace was done yet but still expecting Ethen to join sooner or later, regardless. “Grace was right, she certainly is faster than she is strong, which is perfectly fine. Speed is important--in many, many ways. The only problem to having more speed than strength is if you do happen to get caught. I’ll train her in that so as to avoid that tragedy. But for Ethen, I’m still not sure exactly what he’s like. I really need him to attack me…”
Of course, she wasn’t disappointed in him. In fact, she was quite curious why he decided to hold back from the fight. Was he cautious of battle and just observing for now as for gathering intel? Or was he afraid? Regardless, she was sure she’d talk to him about that later... Tous les misérable sont enfants de D I E U? ULLA

Grace got pushed away and she looked towards Ethen waiting for him to attack, Grace wanted to see if he was any good at fighting, he seemed very anxious to actually do anything just by the way he had stepped back to the front of the alleyway, Grace shrugged it off though and gave her most real and encouraging smile but of course the smile was forced, she just wanted to see him attack.

He held his fist as he stepped back inside the alleyway. "Im not afraid to fight you >;0 I just rather watch first --"
Ethen planned to observe how Ruby fought in order to come up with the best way to attack. When Grace originally lunged forward, he stepped back right way since that is what he wanted (for her to go first).
Ruby's the test, and he wanted to study. He didn't like surprises - and he knew he got hurt quite easily (His constitution being a 5...).
When grace smiled at him he didn't know what it meant... Though it made him feel like fighting together was probably the better idea --- he didn't want it to look like he left her hanging.
--
Lips pouted, Ethen took off his jacket and placed it along side the wall. This was to indicate that he's in now. He'd hop into the spar next time he seen the chance - hopefully while Ruby is unaware.
Edit: (((ok so the reason I wrote for him backing up changed a bit since this is how his mind changed //and I wrote this all based on how he consciously thinks...// he unconsciously replaced fear with a more logical reason (wanting to study her first). It was unconsciously done so i never mentioned the switch--- It would be odd to add that in the reply, though i just realized how strange the change seemed... idk if it was as noticeable to you (if at all) as it was to myself. But that is what happened heh. The fear is still there, he just won't act upon it.
Ethen is an unknowing master of self-depiction. His highly selective way of thinking is how he deals with problems and emotions which may become clear sooner or later. its a poor method... and misleading but an interesting trait for the few people have it. One that is able to do it willingly has mastered the mind! He is a mess though, so it is just confusing
I'll get better at transitioning his thoughts eventually))))

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X “That’s fine,” Ruby said, not sounding upset or angry at all. “Just standing back and watching--not half bad. Unfortunately even if he were to figure out a few things from me it wouldn’t be much he could use in battle--I’m not really fighting right now, I’m more defending than anything. And even if he did learn more about my fighting techniques, at this point right now, I would still defeat him and it would do little good. He will have to fight me sooner or later, but I can respect him wanting to get an eye for his enemy. Just as Grace had before she decided to step into our conversation and join me, before…” She gave a faint smile. “I really do like both of these two so far. I’m lucky to have gotten two people with such potential.”
She turned back to Grace and got into a stance. “Come at me, again. But instead of redirecting your attack to hit me somewhere less expected, try something new. I already gathered what I needed in your first attack, so if you know anything else, show me,” she stated calmly, prepared to block whatever Grace could throw at her.
From the first attack, Ruby was able to gather a few things about Grace’s fighting skills--her strengths, and a weakness. If it was all that Grace knew how to do, Ruby would decide to focus on what skills she knew Grace had, and work on her weakness as well and build her up from there. But if she was capable of more things, Ruby wanted to know what they were so that she would also keep them in consideration for their first official training spree. And so, Ruby gave an encouraging smile and nodded to Grace, letting her know to give it her best shot and show any other techniques she had, or show if she didn’t have any others...
No worries, your last post made sense to me and I understand! ^o^ Ruby will probably be able to catch on to that as well, being that she’s pretty experienced with various battle techniques and frankly, she actually does what Ethen’s doing herself. Not so much turning fear into something useful--very interesting characteristic of Ethen’s, might I add--but with the standing back and watching/observing stuff. She does that a lot. So she’ll accept that strategy of his and give him some tips on it, so no worries c:

Grace would nod understandingly then sprint towards Ruby kicking herself off the wall and attempting to throw a punch down towards her face, when it connected it would hit her cheekbone unless she blocked.
(ooc: Sorry I took so long, went out with the family)
