A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

(ooc: This is open to one--maybe two--people in hopes of creating a sort of bond/strong friendship and small alliance. Not really a gang though.)
Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X The Titans had fallen.
The wreck of the schools, the destruction of the city--rather, the “new” city that was just a big prison for the world’s unwanted… Crime happening every day, and there seemed to be nobody to stop it. Or, had there? They were that one group, weren’t they? The one that supposedly stopped crime with more crime. Truly, it seemed even more corrupt as far as Ruby was concerned.
It was like the whole world had gone to hell. But Ruby knew it hadn’t, it was just District 552, and horrible as it was… She felt it was just like her old home in France. Danger at every corner. Fear with every step… And the inability to do anything to defend yourself. “This can’t keep going on like this,” she thought. A rebel? Those didn’t seem to get far. She couldn’t aim high. She knew there was no way that she could ever stop this corrupt system. She thought that if she joined a gang fighting to stop the system to restore peace, she might… But even then, the Titans had fallen.
Ruby seemed to be the last one standing.
But now, would she recreate the Titans? She probably couldn’t. And she didn’t really want to try making another gang… There seemed no point. But still… To be wandering as a little nobody, fearful, and ready to be abused at any moment… That didn’t seem like the life for her, either. “Back then,” she muttered, “I had Jet. Then I had Musashi. And now there are none.” Her violet eye was cold, and as she headed down the streets, she’d stop at a particular alleyway. “Perhaps I could do something once again. No, I cannot be as strong as the others. And to them, I am weak. I will never be strong again. But, perhaps I can be strong enough to at least defend myself on a normal day.” She blinked, looking into the darkness. “But I would want one other… Musashi had me. I was his sidekick of sorts. I was loyal, and I was pretty active. He taught me things and I taught him things. We both benefited. I think perhaps I should do the same. People are easy to come by--people who are weak, as well as people who are strong. The only difficulty is getting people who are loyal and are willing to work with you. To stay by your side. It could be anybody, but I’ll have to weed out the bad traits and decide before I let anyone in.”
She sighed. Let someone in? What was she thinking? It wasn’t exactly an association of sorts. She drew her sword and entered the alleyway, shrouded in the shadows, and she leaned against one of the walls, waiting. Like a spider waits for their prey, she, too, waited for someone to pass by. She was sure she would find someone--people were often running about. The issue was finding the right one… She was sure it would take a few tries, but hey, even if she didn’t come across anyone… The dark view was nice of the shadowy alleyway? Ethen enjoyed walking around the ruins of 552.
It made him feel like he was in one of those videos games he used to play-- with the snipers and all that-- An eerie post-apocalyptic setting, with danger at any corner, missions and goals to meet. Little did he know, that was somewhat the reality of this place…
Or - he does know, but just much rather treat this realization as imagination fuel (and a way to coup with boredom).
So no, Ethen was not at 552 – He was on the dystopia island of JERWK. His mission? Find any form of human civilization left. The cyborg’s were watching however, so he had to lay low and move quick.
--
He walked briskly around the ruins of the island, only to pause once 10 meters before the entry of a dark alley way…
“Is a cyborg in there…?” He wondered out loud – at this point fully amused with his self. Though with each step as he jogged closer to, and eventually into the alleyway, he could feel himself stepping a bit closer back to reality---

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X Ah, a person. And so soon, it seemed. She uncrossed her arms, turning her head to look at the young man who was approaching the alleyway--now passing by her and continuing to venture into the darkness. She took a few steps away from the wall, standing between him and the exit of the alleyway.
“I haven’t heard that one before. Cyborg?” She questioned. Of course, English wasn’t her first language and even more so she was a bit more old-fashioned. “Is it that you’re lost, kid?” She asked, looking at the boy with her violet eye. “I’m not a cyborg, since you asked. Then again, I might be. What are you up to?” She’d give a small smirk. Time to see what the kid was all about. Tous les misérable sont enfants de D I E U? ULLA

Grace had made her way back to the school's ruins after a day of various events and still she was as lost as ever, only her second day here and really she still didn't know anything of what transpired here, she only knew about the two warring factions between the Apostles and "Terrorist" as she had heard them been called, Grace pulled away from her thoughts to see a boy entering an alleyway and a girl talking, Grace wasn't one to eavesdrop or anything but she decided to check it out.

His logical mind was not expecting her any more than it did a cyborg-- At Ruby’s appearance Ethen froze immediately: eyes wide, not knowing what to think or do. Any strand of JERWK he had left on his mind was definitely gone. He was back in 552 for sure. And... did that girl have a sword?
“I haven’t heard that one before. Cyborg?” He flinched. “Is it that you’re lost, kid?” He wanted to say no, but “I'm not a cyborg, since you asked. Then again, I might be. What are you up to?”
He stood there… rendering… for a few seconds as he tried to grasp the situation. ‘Ha… She heard me. That’s embarrassing—‘
--
“Well, I am clearly on the lookout for cyborg…” He joked, with a weak grin on his face.
“And no I'm not lost… just roaming around – bored.” He added quietly. He was new to the district, however he knew his way around well enough (at least to the school area and back to his living quarters). Walking around is all he did since getting here - though this was his first human [or possibly cybrog] encounter... how nerve-wrackingly exciting for him!
--
And as for the second girl approaching them, he didn't notice yet--

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X
“Just wandering?” She asked--repeated, more or less. “Most people these days seem to like fighting for fun,” Ruby then stated, eyeing him. She took note of another presence behind her, and her grip on the handle of her sword tightened ever so slightly, but she made no other acknowledgement of the other girl’s presence. “If they wants to be made known, they will do so. For now, I do not think they’re a threat. Their aura doesn’t seem too strong. So I’ll let them listen, if that’s what they’re wanting,” Ruby thought. Still, she’d make sure her words were carefully chosen just in case the other presence was a… well… how did Ruby put it? A “bad guy”.
“What about you?” She asked the boy in front of her. “Do you like fighting, much? I can see you’ve got a few scars. Is it because you enjoy the thrill of battle, or you’re used to being a victim?” She gave a small smile, being covered in gruesome scars herself. “Either way, we might be of some use to one-another… if you would be interested, that is.”
Ah, now she’d done it. She had officially “made her offer”, but yet, she hadn’t yet, either. She hadn’t proclaimed what her plan was exactly, or completely asked for his help or alliance. She was simply wanting his reactions, trying to get him interested and then continue reading him to see if it would be worth her time or not.
Of course, her curiosity was also set on the presence behind her. Were they a friend or foe? Was it possible that they, too, could be allies of sorts? Apprentices, if you would? Or was she getting too excited? Ruby was perfectly prepared for it to end up being nothing, but if she ended up getting two fish on her first catch, she’d have considered herself extremely blessed from above.
She was still going to find out more about them--specifically the one before her--but if this did work out… she had a fighter and someone who was cautious--two already promising attributes. Still, she would wait for his response. Tous les misérable sont enfants de D I E U? ULLA

By now, Ethen could tell that Ruby was no real danger to him, but ONLY because he wasn't planning on being a danger to her – she sure seemed alert.
'I can see you've got a few scars. Is it because you enjoy the thrill of battle, or you’re used to being a victim?'
He wondered the same thing about her (not that he thought she was weak). But for him, it would be the thrill... But he was not about to tell her that his scars are not from fighting but his own clumsiness – he looked dorky enough already… looking for cyborgs…
--
'Either way, we might be of some use to one-another… if you would be interested, that is'
Her next words confused him quite a bit – ‘She thinks I’ll be useful to her? Why…’ Though for his benefit from this offering, what ever it would be, he was interested. Eyebrow raised slightly, he nods:
“Sure.. I a—“ He started, but at the presence of Grace he stopped talking, and sharply looked towards her, continuing to carry a troubled, raised-eyebrow expression on his face. He looked back at Ruby briefly before answering Grace's greeting. She came in so casually, he wondered if they knew each other.
“Oh, Hi” He waved back with a gesture just as small as hers. Not knowing what else to say, he looks at Ruby once again.

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X “Ah… So the little mouse finally decided to leave their hiding spot,” Ruby gathered, taking a step to the side and turning her head to glance at the dark-haired girl. “A few things,” she said with a slight grin, before wiping the expression off her face and instantly growing serious once again. “I can’t be friendly. This isn’t like those times back when I was with the Titans… No, they’re gone now. I’m all alone once again, in a world that is just as dangerous as before. There’s no time to show silly things like emotions… Besides, if this goes according to plan… I’ll have to uphold a certain image. Can’t be taken frivolously. Uh… unseriously? What’s the English word for that? Eh, oh well.”
Looking back at Ethen, she was glad that for now he at least seemed a bit interested. “I have a proposition to make,” she stated. “You’re also welcome to listen and consider,” she was addressing the girl at this point, though not actually turning to look at her as her initial interest was on the young man. “I call myself Ruby,” she stated. “As you can see, this school has fallen, and the world is in chaos. These are some pretty dark times, right now…”
She paused. “Evil seems to be in power, and I try to not be involved with politics. It seems that either side is bad, at this point. You’ve heard of them, haven’t you? The Apostles and the Rebels… er… bad guys? No--” she paused, thinking of the word. “The Terrorists.” She nodded. Yes, that was the word she was looking for.
“I do not know what either of your thoughts are on the situation, but regardless, I think it’s very bad,” Ruby stated. “It’s also very dangerous to so much as be alive right now. Regardless of what side you’re on--or if you’re neutral, like me--your life is in danger no matter where you go. Violence is everywhere, as you can see.” She glanced back at the girl before then returning her attention to the boy, trying to keep them both involved in the conversation. “My proposition is apprentices. Not apostles--apprentices. There’s a difference. I may not be a uh… ‘top dog’, I think the phrase is? I’m not the strongest person out there. And I would like to get stronger, so that I can defend myself on a day-to-day basis. Although I am not super strong, I am stronger than some…”
She sighed and then crossed her arms after sheathing her sword. She had not yet said everything, but she didn’t need to say everything. She didn’t need to give her motives or more intimate details to her plans, for now, she was sticking to the basics… and yes… those were, to her, the basics. For now, she just wanted to see if these two riff-raff strangers were at least interested... Tous les misérable sont enfants de D I E U? ULLA

"So, you're saying, if we want we can be our own people? Not on either the Rebels or Apostles side?" Grace was puzzled, she still didn't even know much about both sides but apparently the students were rebelling against the Apostles, but why, Grace thought about the Apostle she had met not long ago and how she killed those men so emotionlessly. Maybe this would be good for her, she wouldn't be taking sides just having friends here.

‘Apprentice…’ He though. ‘So this is why…’
--
He would now be speaking to Grace, but was more so looking at Ruby - since this was for her.
"Nah, I think she means she doesn't care what side we're on and stay on, since we're screwed either way, but should become her ‘Apprentices’ even though she's not a top dog, because... well i don't know why..." He smirks.
"But I won't question it - I already agreed to it."

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X Ruby grinned broadly. She couldn’t help it. So, the white-haired guy was on board, it seemed. And the dark-haired girl certainly seemed interested enough. “I’m glad to hear it,” she said to the boy. She’d turn to look at the girl before saying, “The situation is more like what the boy over there said. Though you’re not wrong, either. The issue is, most people are bound for trouble no matter what. With my help--and the help of each other, we should be able to at least handle ourselves on our own. But like you said, I’m not encouraging taking sides… since both seem to be corrupt and equally as bad and dangerous--even more dangerous than staying neutral.” She turned to Ethen. “But this isn’t a gang. This isn’t to try putting a stop to both bad sides. At least, that’s not what it is right now and I don’t see it being like that any time soon since we’d be extremely outnumbered.”
She paused before continuing. “No. Although I recommend not choosing to side with any of those people, you are free to do as you wish. All I ask for your effort. I can train you if you’re willing to work with each other, and if you’re willing to work with me. If all is well with you two, I would be happy to teach you a thing or two, but I’m not a leader. I’ve never been the leading type. And as such, you, too, can teach and show me things as well.”
Ruby was finding it hard to explain what she meant. She paused before running her fingers through her milky-white hair, furrowing her brow. “I just want to get stronger so that I can handle myself on my own. So that I don’t continue to be a victim--so that I can do something in a time of need. But to do that, I need help. So I am willing to help you two if you in exchange help me. This is a sort of alliance, but I’m not choosing sides with the bad guys. I don’t want to chose sides, and you’re allowed to do as you please so long as you can… stay loyal to this?”
What did she call it? An association? An apprenticeship? She wasn’t really a leader but she could be a teacher… A sensei, as the Japanese word, wasn’t it? They were allowed to do as they pleased, it wasn’t a gang… But still she wanted some people willing to give it a shot. Besides, who knew? Maybe one day it would go somewhere bigger… though for now she doubted it. For now, all she knew was that she was awkward with words.
“So, what do you say?” She asked, looking at the girl. “Are you interested in joining my little cause?” She’d give a small smile and then look back and forth between the two. “What are your names? You seem to be willing to give it a shot,” she was referring to the boy right now, “so we may as well know each others’ names.”

'ah, so she is a victim' He concluded in his mind.
And... he didn't know why... but he felt a bit bad for Ruby. It was not [only] the countless amount of scars on her body, her wishing to be stronger or her admitting to being a victim: It's the fact that she reached out to strangers for an alliance.
'She must have really wanted somebody..'

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X A wicked grin appeared on her face, and Ruby clapped her hands together with glee. “Yay!” She couldn’t help but to squeal, before offering her hands to shake both Grace and Even’s at the same time… Indeed, it was an awkward thing--shaking two peoples’ hands at the same time, but, despite how hardcore she may have seemed, she was eccentric and pretty innocent at the same time. “I’m so happy,” she said with a grin, placing both of her hands on her hips. “I’ll have you know that I haven’t ever done this before. But I’m going to give it my best shot!” Ruby let one hand fall limply at her side while she let the fingers of her other hand play on the pommel of her sword. “I should think that we should go elsewhere than these ruins to train and for a meeting place, but before we do so… I think we should be acquainted with one another. So we’re not completely strangers… oui?” She gave a grin. “So, tell me about yourselves? Are either of you experienced with fighting?--Even seems to be, but what about you, Grace? If so, what type of fighting do you think you’re best at, or most comfortable with? And, if you don’t know those, then, what do you think you would be best at?” Quite the change of atmosphere, but at least she was starting to get things going.((ooc: It's fine Grace! )) Tous les misérable sont enfants de D I E U?
