ᎳᎬᏁᎠᎥᎶᎾ word Count: %wc# Her brother's shadow. It's where she would always be, where she seemed to belong. She would watch him from afar, much like she used to do back when she was bedridden and he took care of her. There was a time when she would do it under Strakh's orders, watch over the failed Wraith unbeknownst to him, monitor his movements and take note of his actions... and if the opportunity presented itself, eliminate him. But in this time, in this place, within these walls, she found herself regaining control of her mind ever so slowly. Her will was becoming her own again, piece by piece. She was becoming herself again, without Strakh's influence to corrupt her more. But 'she' was always there. "Hailey." Emily Casanova, the most gentle and caring friend that Hailey had ever known. The Banshee. Her beautiful and long, curly, blonde hair and fancy, upkept clothing was a stark contrast to everything within the walls, including Hailey's own tattered red robe and battle armor, rugged appearance, and dark hair. Hailey fought and protected Emily, and Emily provided a guiding hand and led Hailey through life ever since she was separated from her brother. She had met her in Strakh's lair, and started to accompany her after her missions began. But Hailey did not know that Emily only existed because of her implant. She came and sat down by Hailey's side, placing her hand upon Hailey's shoulder and smiling at her, her gentle voice speaking softly. "I know what you're thinking, but you mustn't approach him. He's dangerous, and will hurt you. That woman he is with will hurt you too." By 'that woman', Emily was referring to Vivi Perish. The mention of her made Hailey feel sick to her gut, the feeling of being replaced welling up in her, but she would not let that emotion betray the look on her face. "I know, do not worry, Emily. Nothing is more important than the mission. Attachment leads to weakness, and weakness will lead to failure." Despite her emotions being in check, Emily could literally read the contents of Hailey's mind, seeing her wavering. That wouldn't do, but for now, she would simply keep that smile on her face. Hailey would stand up on her feet on the edge of the rooftop they were on. "Let us be off. The sun is setting, and the night is dangerous." She didn't look at Emily, but knew her friend would follow anyway. Hailey would step off of the roof, free falling towards the ground. Tomahawks made of dark energy would materialize in her hands slicing into the building to slow her descent before leaping onto the ground. Emily would simply float down, landing next to her, an umbrella unfolded in her hand, seemingly slowing her fall. Wordlessly, Hailey looked around the alleyway that they were in before turning and beginning to make her exit at the end of the alleyway. | THE DANGER IS I'M DANGEROUS AND I MIGHT JUST TEAR YOU APART |
