Name: Kevin Alvari
Alias: N/A
Age: 14
Grade: Freshman
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 182 lbs
Eye Color: Hazel
Hair Color: Brown
Appearance:
Face: Kevin's face is framed by his round cheeks. His complexion is fair in comparison, but he can tan easily in warmer temperatures. He's clean cut, though it isn't exactly hard to be at his age. He usually wears a smirk on his face and is almost never seen without headphones on his ears. When upset, he has a tendancy to flare the nostrils of his straight and medium-sized nose and his hazel eyes light right up. Kevin keeps his hair in an unkempt bowl cut with a fringe near the front. It's usually parted down the middle but tends to hang loose over his face if ruffled.
Physique: Kevin keeps himself put together by dancing alongside normal physical conditioning. There is good muscle definition throughout his body. He isn't as lean as he could be if he ate better, but his level of physical activity coupled with his youth and good genes make up for it. His skin bears some scarring in assorted places, but nothing that particularly stands out.
Attire: He mostly keeps it simple. Joggers, straight-leg jeans and basketball shorts stay in rotation with tees and maybe a bold color for an accessory. Kevin has a love for Vans shoes as well as basketball sneakers and Timberland boots. He can clean up when necessary, but don't expect it often.
Personality: Mostly upbeat. Rough around the edges with an accent that resembles more of New York, despite being born and raised in San Francisco. He appreciates positive atmospheres and is very much disturbed when things go awry. Kevin may occasionally be quick to anger, especially in instances where his bravado or masculinity is challenged. Coming to blows is a priority option in such cases. Unless it is a firearm or there is simply no reason to stay, Kevin hates running from a fight. Even with poor odds, Kevin sees fleeing as cowardice on his part. He doesn't care to speak much of his past experiences, though he has shown signs of some sort of psychological trauma when detained against his will.
Although sociable, Kevin has introverted tendencies and may isolate himself whenever he deems necessary. It's an unfortunate reflex from past events. However, this doesn't stop him from having real and genuine relationships with the people around him. There is a layer of emotional protection, but underneath his guard is a young man who is passionate for and will protect those who are loyal. He can be kindhearted if he opens up long enough to show such compassion to those in need. Numerous times, Kevin has shown this by jumping in to help those he believes need his help without regard for safety.
Aside from that, Kevin has a strong love for hip hop music and an affinity for dance, particularly breakdancing. It's what keeps him occupied. If left idle too long, Kevin may think of a way to stir up some trouble...all in good fun. Kevin can be found roaming if he can't get into something.
Fighting Style: Brawling. What Kevin lacks in formal training, he makes up for with any decent street fighter's instincts. Throwing hands in 552's hallways isn't his first step into fisticuffs; running with thugs and getting locked up has ensured such. Although Kevin can make use of his height and reach to throw blows, he's not afraid of going in close if necessary and trading shots, be it wise or not. Don't be surprised if he tries to box someone into a corner or shove them into a wall to get an advantage. Finally, he'll play dirty if necessary, though he only responds with such in case of emergency.
Strengths: Confident for the most part. Self-reliant. Physically and mentally durable, knows how to take a hit. Willing to cooperate with others.
Weaknesses: Very uneasy around the opposite gender. Subject to lone wolf tendancies. Prone to an occasional inferiority complex, and lashes out if triggered. His size makes for an easier target in a fight. He's unwilling to use extreme measures in a fight unless it's done to him or someone else first. May attempt to match strength or take a hit to prove his toughness.
History: Kevin was born to Tanya Alvari, a young mother. He never met his father; according to Tanya, he left just prior to Kevin's birth. Tanya herself was a 1st-generation immigrant from Brazil, and with no other immediate family, Kevin grew accustomed to not having anyone else around.
...That is, until he got older. Kevin did fine up to junior high, where he began to hang in with the wrong crowd. The usual results followed: gang paraphenalia, explicit hip hop, fistfights and bad grades. It all culminated into a bad fight after school where a kid was jumped. His injuries were life changing, and so were the charges pressed against each person involved. Everyone that Kevin ran with knew they would be sharing time in some sort of penal institution, be it juvenile or adult---unless there was one person they could pin the crime to. They all singled Kevin out, claiming he acted independently. He alone went on the stand and watched his peers make him out to be some unruly thug. His mother wept as he was carried out of the courtroom. Kevin spent 6 months ina juveline correctional facility and a month in group rehabilitation. He doesn't like talking about it.
Kevin has spent his time since then, catching up with his academics. He hasn't gotten into any major trouble, but a kid who still doodles grafitti in his books and listens to gangster rap tends to suggest he isn't completely on the straight and narrow. Fortunately, he's gotten into dance to keep himself occupied. Unfortunately...he's about to reach high school and the one he's headed to isn't exactly known for fostering upstanding citizens.
