Physical: Physically speaking, Aksel is rather underweight. Due to hardly eating coupled with his rigorous "workout" routine, he appears to be much more toned and fit than he truly is. Not a single muscle on his body lacks definition, though this is due more to the fact he's malnourished than anything else.
Attire: Red and black are the only colors anyone will ever find Aksel wearing at any given time. In fact, those colors are the only ones that fill his closet. He will never be found wearing an actual shirt, just a red jacket or hoodie that typically reveals his chest and stomach. His wrists are covered in bandages due to self-inflicted scars that run all along them.
Defining Marks: Aksel's neck, chest, shoulders, and spine are all covered in tribal tattoos. Additionally, both forearms wear flame-like tattoos. Aside from these, one of Aksel's signature features is his shit-eating grin.

Personality: Calculating. Callous. Caustic. Cruel. Cynical. Aksel is the shame of the Lang family, a man who has no regard whatsoever for the lives of other men and women. A sado-masochist, he only truly derives pleasure from hurting others and himself, and he makes no attempt to hide this as evident by the scars on his forearms and the body count he's racked up. He is almost incapable of forming bonds of any sort unless the ones he forms them with share his interests in anarchy, bedlam, or pain, and even then the bonds are near worthless. When he is bored, Aksel turns to violence to appease this, even if it means hurting those he'd seemed to ally himself with. It's because of this that any "friendship" one might perceive having with the man should be very carefully considered.
Mentality: Arguably insane, Aksel refers to himself as Belphegor, one of the seven princes of Hell. Not only this, he seems to have a misguided fancy for the occult, a fancy that is also improper and incorrect despite his intelligence. All he seems to use his smarts for is a mastery of how to inflict the most pain possible before killing a person. He is highly volatile, in that a person never knows when or how he will next strike.
Strengths: Unpredictable, cut-off, has almost no means of being emotionally wounded.
Weaknesses: Completely misguided, one-dimensional, delusional.

Fighting Style: When armed with the weapons of his choice, Aksel equips himself with steel claws on either hand to wildly cut at his opponent and make him bleed. Without this option, he goes for pressure point strikes but not enough to ever debilitate his opponent. The aim would not be to win, it would be to maim and cause the most amount of pain possible in both parties - himself included. In that endeavor, he will strike - and get struck - as often as possible before either he or his opponent goes down. If he's the one left standing, well... he'll just wildly strike until that opponent is dead, and then keep going.
Strengths: Wild, aggressive, knowledge of anatomy
Weaknesses: Reckless, masochist, frail

History: Aksel Lang, the black sheep of the prestigious Lang family, was a weed among roses. His multiple brothers and sisters were all successful, Grade A students on the way to becoming doctors, lawyers, politicians. His father was the mayor of a small city just outside San Francisco, and his mother was a famous artist who instilled her children with creativity. No one knows quite why it was, but Aksel was never like his siblings in any way other than appearance. Where they were sociable and fun, he kept to himself and terrified most guests. Many suggested his parents send him off to get professional help.
After a stunt he pulled when he was eleven - a stunt in which Aksel injured two of his brothers enough to send them to the hospital - he was sent off to a mental hospital to be evaluated and "fixed" by any means necessary. During this time, his doctors illegally attempted numerous unorthodox methods of fixing him once it proved traditional ones were ineffective. This took a troubled child and turned him into a monster. Though, he was far from an idiot. This monster was one who knew how to pretend to be normal. At least, long enough to survive.
Aksel was sent home at the age of 15 and, for three years, spent all of his time alone. During these years, he learned as much as he could about the human body and how to inflict pain on others - and himself. It made him feel alive, when he no longer thought he was. It was his escape, and he wanted others to feel as good as he did.
On his 18th birthday, Aksel would go on to murder his entire family in their sleep. All three brothers and two sisters would be killed off together, tied up and tortured. Their screams eventually reached his parents. Running into the room, his mother ran to save his siblings and he intercepted her, plunging a dagger into her chest. His father lunged at him, and the two wrestled for the blade. At this point, both Aksel and his father were covered completely in blood, and the father's fingerprints had gotten everywhere - Aksel, however, was wearing gloves. The screams and crashing finally had the neighbors frightened, and so they called the police. When the police arrived, all they saw was a young man fending off his blood-crazed father and fighting for dear life.
Just before Aksel's father could be apprehended, he wrestled control of the knife and plunged it into his father's throat. The old man fell to the floor and Aksel was taken into custody. Later that week, a story was spun that Mr. Lang had gone crazy in an attempt to kill his mentally ill child, who got lucky in defending himself. This was where he had a justifiable homicide tied to him.
Over the next year, Aksel would stalk the streets of San Francisco, kidnapping people in the dead of night to torture and murder them to find the most effective means of inflicting pain. He would never be caught, and the deaths would create a panic among the people. The only clue that would be left behind was a depiction of Belphegor drawn in blood on the walls. It was through this he took on the name.
When he heard of PHS #552 and the district it had in New York, he desired to attend this school more than anything, and figured a justifiable homicide would not be enough to get him in there. After all, it was justified, and he was - in the eyes of many - a charity case. He willingly got caught on to separate accounts of arson, and when the school was finished off the coast of San Francisco, he was sent to it.
Criminal Record: One count of Justifiable Homicide, two counts of arson.
Other: Unreported homicides in the double digits.
