[OOC: Takes place the same day as Biology class, but that night]
--- Earlier in the day Cereza had honestly been off her game. She seemed low on energy and overall what people would deem not her usual self. What people didn't understand was that Cereza had her downtime moments too. Times where she was much more on the laid back angle. Silent. But considering she usually was vocal in situations the silence was concerning in more ways than one to people. Either they thought something was horribly wrong or she was going to do something to someone who ticked her off. No matter, the day was practically done and the night had begun. Cereza was most certainly a night owl. She had went home earlier in the day from not feeling so hot in Bio class which she thought might've been interesting and maybe if she was feeling better she would've been. But alas she had taken her leave and went home to rest up. As night fell she felt so much more better than she had previously.
--- Refreshed and renewed. She sat up in her bed and stretched out her muscles. Getting off the bed completely she'd walk over to the window stretching out her arms as she did so. The night looked so calm. A part of her thought about ruffling up some feathers considering and then she remembered something. Back in Bio class Levi had made her an offer she considered taking up. Their last encounter ended so abruptly well cause it started formulating into something else. Sure she started it but it wasn't supposed to last that long. But that opened the door to something else for someone else later. It was the opening start that caused a swan dive for another night. Nevertheless she wasn't thinking about any of it right now. True Cereza fashion it was kinda buried away. She smirked thinking about the offer Levi made and walked out her room. She headed down the steps and into one of two studies in the mansion opening a secret room and heading down to The Lair. The Lair was basically home base operations for her and her uncle with the whole thieving business. Cereza had became pretty tech savvy enough but she wouldn't deny her uncle and Ecko were much more. Either way she worked a little magic and obtained Levi's school record which gained access to his house number.
--- Well she didn't want to call his house. So let's see what cell phone provider he had! Little more magic work and viola! That wasn't so hard. Going back upstairs to her room she found her phone shooting him a text. She chuckled a little to herself knowing he would eventually ask how she obtained it. They never did exchange information the first time and she left class, hell school early to get it a second time.
'Hey stranger, Still want to help me blow off some steam? If so meet me at The Veil. Ask for Saul. Tell him you're looking for Nova.' ~ Cereza
--- She'd text him the address. Whether he showed or not was his choice but she was going. She left her hat tonight at home and pushed her hair back in a bun. Few locs falling on the sides of her face. Her attire was comfortable and stretchy. The white sports bra showing a bit as it was a little unzipped. Grabbing her jacket and gym bag she headed out the door taking her car tonight to The Veil, or actually The Pit which was under The Veil. Saul owned both. The Pit was Cereza's main underground fight circuit. She was known by her middle name down there despite it sounding much like a alias. When Levi arrived if he did come to Saul. Saul would stare at him for a bit before responding with a smile.
"So she brings another new blood this time to The Pit. Huh.. well boy head that way, make a right and go downstairs...She already put you on the card so enjoy kid."
--- Saul would go back to his bar tending as he had no more to say to Levi. When Levi came down he'd notice the huge difference in atmosphere. If he looked at the cage in the middle he'd note a familiar figure inside finishing up a fight. A lack luster one at that. Ending with with a swift elbow to the head her opponent went down. She was annoyed to have that win truthfully as the announcer called out the win for Nova. She rolled her eyes and walked out the cage and bent to her bag retrieving a bottle of water. She really didn't care if he showed or not but it would be nice cause at least she'd know she'd have her hands full.

Post by Levi Kayamei on Feb 7, 2015 4:39:41 GMT -5
Levi found himself at home this evening, doing what all good students did: Homework. Despite his dislike for having to attend class, Levi actually enjoyed excelling in the academics. His issue with calss is that the pace was far too slow for his taste. He much preferred studying and reading on his own, but without attending class, he would never know what was due and there were always exams to worry show up for.
The black haired man sat in a round, comfortable chair in the living room; a textbook in his lap, a notebook in his right arm and a mechanical pencil in his left. Next to his chair, his grandfather sat on a soft leather couch watching television, laughing heartily. Levi would listen passively and look up whenever his grandfather laughed, amused smile on his face. The television and his grandfather created a nice periodic distraction that kept Levi from focusing too hard and burning himself out. However, something about tonight had Levi’s head feeling fuzzy and tired. He did have the best biology class of his life that involved his teacher testing how effecting their fighting instincts were, but he hadn’t taken any critical blows and the rest of his day had been pretty uneventful. Maybe that was it; a class like that in an otherwise mundane day had made him restless. He needed some action. Since his first day at school, ‘action’ had taken on more than one meaning; a fact Levi wasn’t sure was a good thing yet. An audible sigh escaped Levi’s lips as he leaned his head back and shut his book as he stretched, arching his back and extending his legs.
“Kore ijō no benkyō…” (No more studying...)
Japanese was always the language of choice in the Kayamei home, which made it interesting to people that he had no accent. Levi's grandfather would tell everyone that remarked on it that he had practiced every day to perfect his English. The truth was that his grandfather had made him and his brother do it, though they had understood why. His desire for Levi and his brother to have no connection to the Yakuza was strong and he wanted no doubt that Levi had been born in America. Thanks to their efforts and his grandfather's connections, Levi and his brother were full Asian-American citizens in the eyes of the government. Little would his grandfather know, at some point in the near future, the Yakuza would be in Levi's life again whether he liked it or not.
His grandfather stood up and walked into the kitchen, grabbing a couple of glasses from the cabinet he turned his head back towards the living room as he opened the refrigerator.
"Nokori motte ikou! Anata wa ikutsu ka cha go kibōdesu ka?" (Take a break! Would you like some tea?)
Levi pondered for just a moment as his phone went off. His brow rose as he failed to recognize the number. It was normally his policy to ignore unknown numbers, but he quickly realized who had sent this, though it rose even more questions.
How did she get this number? This girl...
Levi was a little unnerved, but he couldn't help but smile at the thought of seeing her again. If nothing else, they would get to actually finish that spar of theirs. He quickly added her to his contacts as he set his homework on the coffee table and stood up quickly, walking to his room to grab his gym bag and keys. He really didn't know whether this would be for pleasure, pain or both, so he decided to come prepared.
"Gomen'nasai. Watashi wa shibarakunoaida tsumoridesu." (Sorry. I'm going out for a while)
With that, he dashed out of his front his door, hopped in his car and drove to the bar. His gym bag slung across his body, Levi walked up to the bouncer and asked for Saul. The large man pointed at the guy behind the bar who Levi then approached and followed Cereza's instructions. After a short staring contest, Levi again did as he was told, slowing down as he took in the very different atmosphere.
Woah...nice
He smiled as he eyed the beauty in the cage, taking an easy win and looking unhappy about it. He couldn't blame her honestly. In a competitive setting, an easy felt like a waster of your time. Only worthy opponents made you feel like you wanted to really win. As Cereza walked to her bag, Levi approached, leaning against the wall, a grin on his face as he set his bag down, shaking his head.
"Don't you know it's not nice to bully others? Geez..."

--- The fight really did leave a bad taste in her mouth, not even the water was satisfying at this point. She hated those so much. Cereza lived on a challenge. Lived on the thrill. The high. It gave her such a rush not to mention a huge distraction. It kept her busy and was a great way to let out some aggression. Sipping the water she heard a voice come from behind her. Was that playful sarcasm she detected? The voice was familiar and she smirked as she turned around to address him.
"You gonna teach me a lesson?"
--- She smiled zipping the front of her outfit up a bit just at her chest. The white sports bar showing underneath. The bun her hair was in was a little messy but it a rather stylish way. She sipped the water again keeping her grey's on him. She was indeed waiting for me to ask the inevitable question. Would she answer was the question? He probably started thinking about her more in that moment wondering how she got his cell phone number. Closing the bottle she folded her arms over her chest.
"I've probably been really naughty again."
--- A playful notion to their first meeting.

Levi's smile ceased to fade as she spoke; it truly was good to see her. He shrugged playfully at her first comment, keeping in line with the sarcastic tone that she brought out in him so well.
"I may have to give you a taste of your own medicine, might do you some good."
His eyes followed the zipper up for a just a brief moment before he caught himself, his eyes back into hers again. He was sure she noticed and he had a feeling she would know why, but that was fine, because in a fight, it would not interfere again. Her last sentence forced him to hesitate for a moment as he thought back on his first day with a shake of his head and that persistent smile. He was smiling so much more these days. A tinge of disappointment could be heard in his playful voice as he winked with his last word.
"oh? Well, that's my loss I suppose. Maybe next time..."
Now that greetings had been taken care of, his curiosity resurfaced. He wondered when their match was and if he was fighting anyone else. A warm up would be nice, but he didn't really require one if it was not to be.
"So, are we next? Or do I get to bully one of your friends first?"

"Haha.. yeah? You gonna give me a spanking?"
--- She did indeed notice where his eyes trailed and it only made her laugh. She was tempted to lower the zipper and raise it up again just to see if he'd continue to follow. Her attire wasn't revealing and her chest was mostly covered by the sports bra yet still it's not like she could hide the fact she had them anyways. Unless she wrapped them down. Yeah no. What he thought she meant wasn't even close. Her face grew stoic.
"I meant skipping class."
--- She stared before breaking into a laugh.
"Haha, I can see where you're mind is."
--- She reached her free hand out to give me a little nudge. She looked up to the cage and back at him. He seemed to be focused on the environment that he hadn't inquired about his number being retrieved. She waved to the ring announcer who was still in the cage, coming over he bent down. She spoke to Levi first than him.
"You want an early bout?"
"Hey Nova what's up?"
"Hey Charlie, take me off and place Levi Kayamei on instead.."
--- Charlie looked at Nova and then Levi.
"Heh you know it was against Jason. He's gonna be piss he's been waiting for another shot at you."
"Yeah well not sorry to disappoint."
"Heh alright love.. Ok Levi get your ass in here then!."
--- Cereza would turn back to Levi with a smirk. Walking behind him and giving him a little nudge towards the cage entrance. Someone had already entered from the other side as Charlie announced him. Jason was a fairly big guy in comparison to Levi. Though he had size he didn't lack too much speed. Cereza had tussled with him before and it was a bit of a challenge until she picked up on his rhythm and systematically broke him down. She expected Levi to do the same. He'd get a pat on his rear.
"There you go..Have fun."

His mind was certainly in the gutter more often since his first day at #552, but it had stopped bothering him as much. It probably made him more like a normal sixteen year old boy to be honest. He simply smirked at her as he replied with a chuckle.
"Sure sure...I blame you."
He would be content to fold his arms and listen, watching as his "warm up" match was set up. He nodded at charlie and stretched as he walked into the cage. Smiling at the pat on his bottom, his green eyes focused on his opponent, a fiery energy in them. Once he got close to the center of the ring, his feet came together and he took a traditional Kajukenbo bow, placing his left fist in his right hand in front of his chest and bringing it forward a bit, intensity in his voice.
"Osu!"
With that, the fight began, Levi putting his hands up in front, his left lower than his right, but other than that, no particular stance. His plan was simple, observe as Jason showed him what could and couldn't deal with and then pick him apart. Levi's initial evaluation of the man was this: Physically talented, but easy to predict and fool. Just the way Levi liked them.
The bigger they are...right?
Levi wouldn't have to wait long as Jason took the initiative, stepping in quickly and throwing his hips around, a fast kick aimed at Levi's left ribs. Levi tucked his left arm in and absorbed the blow, noting that taking one of those cleanly would not be fun. Levi would take a seemingly staggered step sideway as the kick collided with him to make himself seem off balance, smiling as Jason took the bait moved to end it quickly.
If you're in that much of a rush...
As Jason threw a right haymaker, hoping to end the fight in one combination, Levi turned his body inwards as he stepped into Jason's guard, placing his left shoulder an inch from the man's right shoulder, his arms shooting upwards, his left: a knife hand that sank directly into the nerve bundle in Jason's armpit as his right struck with a vicious palm strike, upwards into the man's chin. Levi's hand would grab the bottom of Jason's face as he stumbled backwards, Levi's feet moving to follow, his eyes cold.
"oh no, perhaps you didn't understand. I'm ending this now... "
Levi would turn as he followed Jason's backpedaling, now pushing him backwards with his right as it clutched the underside of his chin and pressed his head upwards to ensure Jason would not regain his balance. Levi would then bring his left up and over, delivering repeated hammer blows to Jason's face. After four of five strikes, the man would crumble to the ground, splayed out of his back, his face a bloody mess. Levi would wear a disappointed expression on his face as he exhaled slowly before turning to leave the cage.
Well, good to know I was right about him I guess...geez...
The crowd cheered excitedly as the announcer declared Levi the winner, the cage opening, allowing him to leave and walk back towards Cereza. He walked past her, sending her a smile and wink before getting into his gym bag to grab grab a water bottle, taking a long swig before turning back to her, a refreshed expression on his face. He only wished he had known about this place sooner. There were definitely times when he would have loved to blow of some steam in a place like this. He beamed at her, having clearly enjoyed himself.
"I think I like this place! What's next?"

"Heh, oh no. Don't place the blame on me for where your mind wanders unless you're saying I have some control over you."
--- Cereza would allow those to be her parting words to him as he entered the cage. Something he could linger on for a bit. As Levi entered Jason was visibly angered by the switch in opponents. It wasn't who he wanted. He wanted his rematch and she had denied him in favor of seeing Levi in action. Jason would eye Cereza, or rather Nova, on the outside of the cage looking at him with a smirk and a wave. Jason initially snarled and turned his focus back on his new opponent. Cereza watched on with a careful eye. She knew that she was right about his ability to pick it up. They're little scuffle might not have lasted long but she read into people well enough. Not to mention how he lit up in bio class earlier in the day at the notion of a somewhat physical altercation with the professor. She hadn't stayed for the whole thing as she didn't care anymore nor was she feeling good.
--- She watched attentively as Jason essentially was made a fool of in the cage. The crowd cheered over the music playing. Many impressed by the newbie's performance. Bets were flying around in the beginning many against him cause he was new and well those were going to be going home with a lot less pocket money. Even Cereza got into the pot of course betting on Levi. Not like she needed the money but why the hell not right? The typical females swooning at the young fighter. Cereza watched his brutality and found herself intrigued at the display. Thoughts swirled in her head but hadn't known him long to truly make such a call but the consideration could be there. She folded her arms over her chest as he walked passed and winked at her. She smirked as a guy came over handing her a wad of money. She took it and looked up to Levi as he seemed so chipper.
"Heh love it don't you? Well I gave you the address you're more than welcome to return. It's a good way to let off some frustration."
--- Her last words spoken in a certain tone for a playful reasoning. Looking at the money in her hand she looked back at him and winked before bending it and placing it in her bag. No one was stupid enough to go into her bag. Standing back up she would address him once more.
"After the next it's me and you... I don't have a shirt you can rip this time soo."

His smile turned into a smirk at her first comment. Honestly? She probably could have some control over him if she really tried. Levi was stupid, but he was still naive and while he was aware of this, naivety was a pretty big weakness to have against someone who might exploit it. His answer was indirect, yet held a little information in it that she was sure to hear.
"No body has total control over themselves all the time."
Levi watched intently as money was exchanged everywhere as a result of his fight. He took a small amount of joy from causing that many people to lose their money for doubting him. He couldn't blame them though; they had no way of knowing Jason would lose let alone how badly he lost. Levi had never been anywhere like this before and continued to fascinate him as he absorbed the atmosphere, hence his entertained smile. Levi responded to Cereza's wink as she placed the money in her bag, a chuckle in his voice.
Who would be stupid enough to get into that bag?
"You're welcome."
Levi had assumed this invitation was long-standing, but it was always nice to hear. He smiled in response as he looked back at a couple of the disgruntled people who had lost a lot of money on him. He would wave as he gave them the "Hope you enjoy that shit sandwich you ass hat" look. He would into her eyes as he crossed his arms.
"Oh! Who's fighting? I could stand to make a little money while I'm here."
Fighting for profit AND gambling for the first time in one night. Blowing off steam indeed. Cereza was so many firsts for him it was getting ridiculous at this point. Levi paused before acknowledging that last part. His eyes wandering for a just another second, this time, on purpose with a sly grin on his face.
"I guess I'll have to wait...I mean stifle my temptation and not indulge at all ever...nope."

--- The atmosphere was definitely something to marvel at. It wasn't as nitty gritty as one would think. It wasn't some super dark lit place. It had it's air of fun which he was certainly inhaling. His words however caused her a silent pause. Cereza was one person that was all about control, especially over herself. She exhibited great control actually, but there was something she had failed at in controlling not too long ago. Question was would she fail at it again. She almost did with Levi's first day but that was put to sleep. However not to long after that she drove right off the cliff and into the rabbit hole. She took the time to bury it again but maybe it was still just slightly there. Just tickling her.
--- There would always be a few sore losers in the bunch. So much money was lost down in The Pit. But hey that was a gamblers life. She smiled at his excitement about laying some bets down and for some reason the way he sounded made her believe that this was his first. Like she was practically corrupting him even. Well that was good to know actually. His sly grin did not go notice as she snickered.
"Oooh that sounds like some confidence there...Then again we already know where your mind was before..At least you know what you want. Can't be mad at that."
--- She'd give him a wink turning around to face the cage and then taking some steps back so she was directly next to him.
"Alex and Pietro... Don't let Alex's size fool you. If you wanna bet and win then bet on Alex...Unless you don't want to trust me."
--- Alex was a fairly small individual. Standing about 5'4". Ok actually he was really short for a guy. Lean slightly muscular. Nimble looking but most thought he lacked strength and really he didn't Pietro looked like a Russian powerhouse. It would seem Alex was doomed to lose. She'd glance at Levi as people were starting to place the bets. Alex was new to The Pit. About a few days but Cereza knew him from other circuits unlike some of the people in the crowd. They didn't see what she saw. She waited shifting her gaze back to the ring.

Levi sized the two of them up. He had learned from personal experience that judging someone based on size was a good way to find yourself on your ass or worse. He himself was once the small one; Until about a year ago, he stood a mere 5'7 and had many an opponent pay the price for underestimating him. Levi placed his hand on around her hip, letting it trace around as he walked away to go place his bet, another wink as he spoke with a smile on his lips.
"I do know what I want."
Levi walked up to the man taking the bets, pulling two-hundred from his wallet and handing it to the man.
"Two-hundred on Alex..."
His choice was based on Cereza's advice and his trust in her sure enough, but also for his bias towards the one who appeared to be the underdog. It wasn't uncommon for the underdog to win out and there was a good reason for that. He returned to Cereza's side and folded his arms as his gaze fixed on the fighters getting ready to enter the ring. The thrill of the risk he had just taken and the investment in the fight he now had raising his heart rate just a bit.
"Alright, let's see if we make some money today. That was my first gamble, so let's hope you didn't jinx me."

--- She listened as his hand traced around his waist with him walking passed to place his bet. The sound of a 'mm' slipped through her closed lips. He did what he wanted. So did she. But she wondered even with that statement to what extent did that go. Did he really do what he wanted or was there a limit to it? She pegged him fairly serious the first go around yet she could tell that there was a shell he was slightly breaking then and well it would appear she was essentially right. The way he seemed tonight to her had a essence of wanting to be free but feeling stifled some how.
~Tsk tsk might have to fix that~
--- She thought considering the benefits of it. Her mind danced with thoughts of wanting to test him out a little. See what she could push and pull from him. She had eyed seeing him place the bet coming back and making an ironic statement. Her a jinx? No, never. Yeah right. The irony of his statement considering her thief life made her snicker. Little did he know that she was a little infamous thief named Jinx. Funny how he trusted her word so quickly. How did he know she wasn't steering him down the wrong path? Interesting.
"It's possible I lied...But what is life without taking a few risk."
--- She lived by those words. She usually took risk from time to time. Cereza lived a borderline destructive life. She wasn't so bad but at any moment it could teeter over the edge. She smiled folding her arms as Alex and Pietro fought. Pietro looked like he was up in the game until it was obvious that Alex was just playing a role. He made Pietro believe he had the advantage all the while Alex had been secretly wadding in the water like shark. Alex was breaking Pietro down systematically and soon came out with a win. He knocked Pietro down to his level and delivered a vicious elbow to the side of his face knocking out the Russian powerhouse. The crowd was truly in shock. Cereza just smiled as Alex left the ring walking past them. He looked up to her and gave a big goofy grin as he was actually a fun loving life kind of guy. She snickered as Pietro was dragged out the ring. A guy came over giving Levi the earnings of his bet. Winking she gave Levi a hard pat on his behind and started to walk to the stairs that led up to the cage. It was there turn.
"You're welcome...Come on show me your stifled temptation. "
--- She would enter the ring and go to the other side waiting on him.

Levi smiled at her once last time before watching the fight enthusiastically, quickly realizing the game Alex was playing. It was smart and safer than trying to overpower an opponent like Pietro. It was a similar strategy to the one Levi had planned on using on Jason before the fool went all-in after gaining one opening. Levi chuckled lightly to himself at this thought, shaking his head. He would juke and twitch his arms at near misses and good moves.
"YES!"
Levi pumped his fist as Alex landed the final blow. He would not join the cheers of the crowd, but he did light up as the man brought him his winnings. He, like Cereza, placed his money in his bag and zipped it closed, eyeing a guy from a across the room who watched him deposit the money. He shook his head slowly to say "Not worth it buddy" and turned to follow Cereza into the cage. He laughed at her quip as they walked into the cage.
"I guess I can show you some of it here."
He shook his limbs out as the crowd around them seemed to double the volume of their cheers as the doors closed, shutting them in together. He had been training his ass off since his first day in order to achieve the strength he needed to protect himself and defeat those who would threaten his family or friends. As he met more and more people capable of laughing off any attack he made, the hotter the fire in his heart burned to gain more strength. He had fought so many losing battles, he couldn't remember winning since his first day, which really wasn't a win as much as it was a wonderful, sexy draw. His face became much more serious as he now focused on his opponent, but this time a small smile appeared on his face. He was anxious to see how far he had come and just how strong Cereza was now.
"Alright, no exposed breasts in the cage. Also, no kissing and no grinding got it?"
Levi was quite obviously kidding, but it was interesting to him and possibly Cereza, that he had found time for humor in this environment. He was pumped and the serious demeanor he normally kept in place was hard to maintain with all of the excitement happening all around him.

--- She did little light stretches in the middle of the ring as he stepped her. Cracking her neck, rolling her shoulders, things of that nature. Obviously she was a crowd favorite as chants of Nova echoed. Whooping, whistles and all sorts of catcalls. Never failed. She smiled and waved soaking it up like she normally did or sometimes was laid back about it. But the crowd got a little taste of Levi and cheered him on as well. The bets conflicted on this one and Nova couldn't blame them. She wasn't guaranteeing a victory for herself here but she knew she could guarantee a good time.
"Not even a small kiss for good luck?"
--- With a wink she'd spoke as she took a loose stance in the crowd. Her left leg was forward a bit as her right reminds back. She was bent slightly at the knees. hands up in a proper guard but palms opened. He started the fight the last time so this time fine she'd take to the offense at first. Easily she stepped up stopping within the range of melee for the both of them. Deep inside their range.
"Smile for me."
--- She said to get him to lighten up. She was ready to dub him Canary. He seemed like the little bird, the little canary looked in a cage just craving a moment to break free. At her words however she would've been thrown quick right hook to his face. It was the warm up again. Come on of course it was easily seen that's not the point.

Levi's eyes hardened as he stared at her, his smile remaining as he slowly shook his head "no" to her question. He knew it was a tease, but he was serious. This would be his first opportunity to test himself against a known opponent. The fruits of his labor would be tested for the first time here and against someone who probably had the upper hand in their last engagement. When she entered melee range, his right leg dropped back slightly, as his left hand was placed in front and higher as his right stayed closer to his torso near his abdomen.
Again, Levi's composure would go unfazed as she attempted to throw him off of his game before she attacked. It was a good trick against someone like him, but it wasn't clever enough to work too often, at least not when applied in that manner.
not today...
A simple hook was her opening and Levi would acknowledge the desire for a quick warm up as he leaned back, placing his right hand on her elbow as the arm passed and pushed it forward as he straightened his body to force her arm back towards her and possibly take some of her balance away. Levi had not put his weight behind it or really moved his feet at all, but it would get the idea across. As he pushed, he used his left leg to take a quick swipe at her forward, left, ankle. Again, it wasn't meant to cripple, just to test the waters.
