A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

"Ohh... I'm sorry for laughing..."
And now I felt like the asshole that I was. The kid hadn't been in a real school before, and she already had someone jerks taking her lunch money and then this asswipe laughing at her. I made a mental note of it, being sure not to laugh at her again like I did before. I didn't know if I was making a bigger deal out of it than I should have in my head, or if I was just piling the guilt onto my existing stack. Did I like to feel bad about myself?
"And uhh.. No- Wait... maybe... I'm honestly not sure why they call it Hawaiian pizza."
It was a conundrum... one that confused me profoundly. None the less, I waited till Mireli was done choosing. I would give her a nod accompanied with a smile when she told me what she wanted. I stepped up to the counter to place the order.
"Hey Eddy! How's it going?"
"Good! How are you? Keeping warm?"
He chuckled at my lack of a coat.
"Haha trying. Could I get a slice of chicken parm and another slice of veggie?"
"Sure! Anything else?"
"Yeah could I grab two fountain drinks as well?"
"Of course!"
The entire time I talked to Eddy, my eyes returned to that dull glazed over look despite the smile I had on my face. I paid the man and he handed me the two fountain drinks. Removing the inner cup, I would hand one of them over to Mireli.
"Let's go get drinks."

"Hm. Well it would have to have something to do with Hawaii, right?" I asked conversationally, mulling over the possibilities in my head. I didn't know much about Hawaii except that it was a series of islands in the Pacific that belonged to the United States. I think they also spoke Hawaiian too, the only state in the country that had its own language.
I almost didn't notice Shugo ordering, chatting with the pizza man as if he knew him. I knew the vendors in Coney Island, so it didn't seem so strange to me, just interesting. This boy seemed rather multi-faceted, and he was kind, I should keep him around.
"Okay." I took the cup from him and walked over to the soda fountain. "Thanks again, I really appreciate it." I thanked him for what felt like the hundredth time, putting my cup against the ice dispenser, some ice cubes falling into my cup. I then put the cup up to cherry coke spout and filled my cup.

"Don't worry about it."
I smiled a bit as I filled my open cup up with sprite. I didn't bother grabbing a top for it. I didn't like putting the lids on my drinks unless I was going to be walking around with them. I guess not having the lid on made it feel more comfortable to drink? Like I was just drinking it out of a regular glass really, instead of a disposable cup. Once I filled up my cup, I decided to skip the awkward fun dance of "Where do you want to sit?" I nodded my head towards a booth by the window.
"Let's go here."
Sliding into the booth, I would sit down on the plush red vinyl. I rested my back against the back of the seat, taking a moment to look up and close my eyes. It was warm and comfortable in the restaurant. Almost comfortable to the point where I wanted to sleep. It was almost a relief meeting this girl. After all of the truly awful people that I'd met at 552... It was good to meet someone nice. I mean... really the only other nice person I had met was that green haired girl. I was starting to believe that masked guy's words. When he said that this school was going to bleed me dry at the rate that I was going. I used to be willing to let it bleed me dry. Give it my all until the school killed me. But the show of kindness with an apple snapped me out of it.
"I should be the one thanking you. For the apple. And for-"
"Oi! Shugo! Order up!"
I was interrupted by Eddy before I could finish my thought. He was beckoning me over for our food. Turning my head back to Mireli, I would speak again. Before standing up to go retrieve our food.
"Sorry. Give me a second."
Maybe I was just getting sentimental before. But I guess it was good to know there were good people in this school. That didn't mean I was going to stop bleeding for 552. No, instead... I'd have to make sure I never ran dry, for the sake of those few good people.

"It was the least I could do.." I looked down to my drink, a slight blush creeping up my cheeks. My family didn't have much money, we didn't have the latest luxuries that life had to offer, and had Shugo not offered to buy me pizza, the apples would have been all I had to eat until dinner time. Perhaps he realized that, and that was why he offered. Whatever the reason, I appreciated it.
It was clear he hadn't finished speaking, the pizza man interrupted what he had been saying. I sipped on my soda as he went for the food, waiting patiently. When he returned, I smiled and thankfully took the pizza. Not wanting to to prod him into finishing his sentence (which had been thanking me and honestly, I wasn't a glutton for praise), I touched the crust of the pizza to test the temperature, it was still piping hot from the oven.

“Here you go.”
I placed the tray with the slice of Veggie in front of Mireli while sliding my own tray in front of my seat before plopping myself back down. I convinced myself I was being too emotional. I guess all of this acting in secret and distancing myself from people was beginning to be a bit much for me. I decided not to finish what I was saying to Mir earlier. I didn’t want to scare her off.
Instead, I would take the slice of pizza and fold it in half before bringing the end up to my lips and taking a bite. I chewed slowly, before making a slight grunting noise. The scolding hot cheese and sauce burnt my tongue and the roof of my mouth. I did my best not to show it, and placed the pizza back onto the plate. Trying my hardest to remain cool, calm, and collected, I took a sip of the soda. I wasn’t sure if the carbonated drink was helping or not. All I knew was… I really regretted not getting any ice in my drink.

"Thank you." Wow, did that pizza smell good! I picked it up, carefully folding it in half much like Shugo had done. I blew on the end to cool it off more before taking a tiny bite. It was hot but not scalding, and totally delicious. "Yum." I murmured my appreciation, and my stomach growled in agreement.
More brave, I took another bite before setting the pizza back on the plate. I looked up to Shugo, whose expression was kind of strange, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. His eyes seemed bigger, but maybe it was because he too was very hungry. A couple minutes passed in silence as I took to eating some more of my pizza to satisfy my stomach's protests. I'd had a small breakfast, so I was pretty hungry.
"Are you from here? New York City?" I asked, curious to learn a bit about this kind boy. I was born somewhere along the Mason-Dixon Line, or so my parents told me. There weren't official records, so enrolling in the school had been a challenge. I didn't have one of those social numbers, my fingerprints weren't documented. To most of the main world, I didn't exist, and that didn't bother me. Most of the performers and entrepreneurs on Coney Island did't exist either.

"I'm uhh... actually I was born in Pennsylvania. Allentown actually. But we moved to New York City because of my father's work."
A bit vague... yes. But it was true. We did move here because of my dad's work. What I decided not to mention that it was because my dad was the CEO and owner of Yuy Corp. Of course back then, he was just running the Philadelphia branch. Not that, that mattered. It was because we came to New York that my parents ended up splitting up. It pissed me off. I didn't know if I blamed the city more, or my father more.
Realizing, I was getting lost in my own head, I picked up the pizza to take another slice... only to realize.... the sauce was still really fucking hot. GOD DAMMIT YUY YOU STUPID PIECE OF SHIT! Casually... I choked back the tears the burning sauce wanted to cause. Reaching for my drink, I would take another very large sip. God dammit... I must have looked like I was just really thirsty.

"Oh. So you aren't a native either." I said partially as a question, partially as a statement. My intonation went up at the end as a statement of curiosity. Maybe that was why he was nicer than the other kids, he wasn't born and raised in the cold city that was always moving.
I nibbled on my pizza, much more carefully than my counterpart. I noted his strange expression and sudden interest in his drink. The corners of my lips turned upward slightly in amusement, I wasn't about to laugh with my mouth full...I also didn't laugh as often as most people, either. Mild expressions were more than adequate if the person you were talking to was paying attention. I paid attention to body language, possibly more than most people, as actions spoke volumes louder than words ever could.
"Do you like it better here?"

"Oh yeah. I guess I'm not."
I smiled a little as my mouth finally cooled down. This time I had learned my lesson, I blew gently on the end of the pizza before I took a bite out of it. Much better than before. I couldn't help but notice how Mir was already trying not to laugh at me. Fair enough, I laughed at her first. She asked me if I liked it better here... I decided not to get into it with her. She didn't need to hear my sob stories.
"That's... a complicated answer. I'd rather hear about where you're from. You said either, so I'm guessing you're not from New York too?"
I'd speak before taking a sip of my drink and waiting for her response. Hopefully asking her about where she was from was enough to derail her from asking more questions about if I liked New York. Plus, I was genuinely interested in knowing more about this girl. It had been a while since I'd met someone who was actually this nice at 552. It'd been a while since I got to have a sit down chat with someone.

"No, I'm not." I took a moment to answer, chewing my pizza thoughtfully. Where was I from? Questions like that were much harder to answer for people like mine. My parents like to say we all come from the earth, every one of us. We come from the earth and return to it when we are done. Perhaps that wasn't what he was asking though.
"My people are primarily nomadic." I answered carefully, "We settled though, in the last year, because our company and performers were bought by the Man." I couldn't remember the Man's name, the one who ran the business of Coney Island. "A couple of our people left, but most stayed together because though traveling was an important aspect of our company, we were all family. Family doesn't leave family."
Had I said too much? I didn't have anything to hide, but I was most comfortable observing than participating. I wasn't a performer like my parents were, maybe I was a bit shy, but I didn't feel as if I needed the spotlight to validate myself.

Nomadic..? Company..? People..? I felt like she was leaving out an important detail or two in there somewhere. Probably not on purpose I judged from the other amount of information. Nah to her, it was probably something that was so blatantly obvious that it didn't really need to be said. Huh... I surprised myself for a second. When did I get this good at reading people. I smirked a bit at my genius, mentally patting myself on the back and taking a sip of my soda.
"Oh wow, that's pretty cool. My dad has a company too."
...What do you mean not that kind of company? Fuck you. I'm a genius. I took another bite of my pizza.

Miri blinked, looking at him with a mildly confused fashion. She tilted her head. "You are not a part of your father's company?" The way he had said it made Miri think that he was talking about it separately from himself. Her parents' company was also her own, same with her family friends and their kids. They were all the company, was that not the definition?
She took another bit of her pizza, eating faster now that it was cooling to an acceptable temperature.

Taking a bite of the crust, I reflected on the girl's words. I mean... I guess I was part of my dad's company. Not that I worked there or anything, but like everyone there knew me... And the R&D group was always letting me and Valo, mostly Valo, borrow stuff from them. I swallowed the bite before speaking again.
"Yeah I mean, I guess I'm part of the company. You could say I'm the heir to it?"
Damn... was this girl's parent's company making her work? Maybe it was a smaller company and that's why she had to work... That might have been why her parents had to sell the company to help keep it a float. Damn... I felt bad for her.

(ooc: whooops forgot my tenses lolol)
And heir to a company? Was there such a thing? Well, my company had a small group of elders who made the important decisions for us, perhaps that was what he meant. His father was an elder and he was next in line to take his place? That sounded about right.
I nodded, switching from pizza to soda and looking at him curiously. "So what is your favorite thing about the public high school?" I asked, wanting to get his feedback on what he liked about 552. I had a couple opinions myself, and wanted to see how it added up to someone who had been in the public school system longer than I have.

It would be this exact moment, the sky would go pitch black, the smell of baked bread and melting cheese in the air. A faint sound of what could only be described as sizzling... Wait no, whistling.
"yyyyyyyyyyyy"
No, it's a voice, some distant unholy being of another dimension clawing it's way into our existence to reign it's end of days into our very souls for the rest of eternity! It tis the rapture! Thy end is nigh! Repent!
"YYYYYYYNNNNNNN"
Wait, not, sorry I got carried away, it's just Leon flying directly towards them with his right foot extended. Smashing through buildings, tree's, cars, or whatever else may be in his path, aiming directly in a strait line for Shugo aiming to crush him under foot with the ensuing explosion of dabree and rubble to be enough to blast Mireli away.
"NNNNNNNNNNAMIC ENTRYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!"
May the cheese, make their crust go down easier....
