"Now that, I can get behind." Takehiro smiled in approval of that last speech. It was a different approach from empowering the violence, which was the main source of the problem. He figured now was a good time to bring up the student he'd brought to the school with him.
"A system we could utilize is an act recently put into place by Senator Amakusa, the Reform Act. Basically, we take the young and reckless and mold them into better versions of themselves. In fact, some students at this school are a part of it - one in particular by the name of Macht Starke. Grew up on the streets, knew only a life of crime, and with guidance, and outlets, rather than being taught to fight and how fighting reaps rewards, he is slowly becoming a better Macht Starke. He went from muggings with local gangs to trying his hardest to help the people around him. The results should speak for themselves."
The teacher folded his arms across his chest and seated himself. He wanted to see what they thought of that, individually if they were all going to chip in. That way, he could get a feel of what kind of people they were, and why they were here.

Krane listened to each in turn, from the man telling him he didn't give them enough credit, to the empowering students speech, to the reforming children idea. He would offer a chuckle at the end of it, shaking his head only a little.
"These are all fine thoughts. Good ideals to try and impress on the kids here. Empowering students is no different then what I plan to do further down the road. Having a reform program makes it sound like this place would be a correctional facility, and we don't want that. But we could have classes that work inside the system you want to set up."
He turned his eyes on the newest addition.
"As for giving the students credit? So far, I've heard of two riots. One, during the meeting in the courtyard. I was there, and saw how gleefully they fought. Another was at the student dorms. And fights are everywhere, everyday. Yes, some are angry or worn out or want to help. But many just like fighting. They enjoy the challenge. While all of your ideals are spectacular, they simply wouldn't work within the current system. The students wouldn't adhere to rules that completely change the game over night. You don't need a headmaster that's an idealist. You need one that's a realist. A realist with a plan to change the atmosphere as a whole over time, not one that wants to baby the students right off the bat. Keep in mind- teachers like you guys are everywhere. They have tried things similar. They always end up failing."
He set his empty glass down and put the bottle away, taking a deep breath. These people seemed like simpletons to him. They wanted to take power, and then give it to the students that were kicking in lockers, breaking each others bones and even attacking teachers. It was foolish, and would not only end up thrashing the school, but them as well. And all the while, no great change would be made.
"I have applied to the school board, and until I hear back I will be filling the role as School Counselor. If they give me the role, despite your misgivings, I will expect you all to fall in line behind me."
He would head for the door.
"If you need me, you'll know where my office is. We can talk there anytime. It was a pleasure to meet you all!"
And he would leave!

Arianna rubbed the back of her neck, listening to all the differing opinions. If nothing else...they'd have to learn to work out compromises. Because the Staff couldn't afford to not at least appear unified. She eyed the unknown teacher for a moment before looking back at Jason with a frown.
Unlike some that said they wanted the position, Arianna wanted no such part. She knew where she belonged, what she was striving for, already. She had no use for fancy offices or a title. The fancy office would become blood-spattered and a title was just that without some working knowledge behind it. Not that she couldn't learn, of course, but she came to this place knowing where her priorities lay.
The health and well-being of everyone in this school.
Everyone had good points. Fair points.
As Edgar left, she sighed.
"Ideally, I'd like to place more credit in the students. But if this is all they know, they may refuse to change, which is why small changes over a period of time may work better. But, the most important thing is that we present a unified front to the student body, while this is worked out.
"Either way, I need to get back to the infirmary before something happens. Talk with you all later~"
And with that, Arianna would make her own way out, intent on finishing setting up all she could before someone was brought in with injuries.
