A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

A video would be sent to the AURA headquarters through the internet, and it was sure to get around. It was of Kaiser, Riot's #4, and he was ready to make a statement.
"Dear AURA... fancy name, that. Whatever does it mean? Anyway, I hear you're looking for me." He showed up on the camera, a deceptive smile on his face. "Word has it that... hmm... whatshisname... Shugo? Shugo Yuy? That the one? Yeah, I hear he's back on his feet. Impressive... no one's ever gotten back up after I was done with them. You've most piqued my curiosity..."
He stepped away from the camera, his arms stretched out wide. "But I'm willing to fix my mistake... I bet you're just dying for revenge! So I have a wonderful idea... why not fight me again? Why not bring along your whole crew so I can kill all of you... one... by... one? I'll be sure to slice them apart first, before finishing you off like I should've done the last time we met."
He moved closer to the camera, that same smile on his face, bus the look in his eyes was dark.
"Or you could refuse... and I could hunt you all down myself... and you don't want me to catch you alone. So please... make this fun for all of us."
The recording cut off there, and the screen faded to black.

"172, 173, 174-"
My fist plummeted straight through the punching bag at 174, clean in one side and clean out the other. It took 174 punches of me hitting in the same spot repeatedly to burst through the training bag. That wasn't going to be enough. I still needed to get stronger. I had to protect the school, protect my friends, and protect her... I shook my head slightly as beads of sweat flew off. Removing the now destroyed punching bag from it's hook, I placed it down in a pile with three others. One more and that would be it for my strength training for the day. I lifted up the last bag and placed it onto it's hook, but before I could even start throwing punches, I heard a voice come through the speaker system. My eyes narrowed as I heard it.
"Dammit... how did he..?!"
Quickly I ran out of the gym inside of the Phoenix. We had been using the cruise ship as the base for AURA since it had started up. Quickly, I made my way to the communication room. I needed to check if this was coming from inside of the ship or not. Passing by a large screen in the hallway, I saw Kaiser. The background didn't look like the ship, but that didn't mean he wasn't broadcasting a pre-recorded video from on deck. Throwing open the door to the communication room, I stepped in, breathing a sigh of relief that Kaiser wasn't already there. I turned to the systems, trying to figure out how he managed to hack us and override this video throughout the entire ship...
"FUCK! Where's Valo?!"

Even since the AURA meeting, Mireli had been dropping by every once in a while to keep up with the happenings. She checked out the gym, which was free for their use, and poked around in whatever rooms were not locked off to her. Today she was sneaking around near the gym, well...not sneaking. Looking. Poking. Exploring. Yeah, exploring.
A voice came over the loud speaker, a face she did not recognize taking over all of the nearby screens. She watched the transmission with a confused look on her face, eyes widening in shock as he mentioned Shugo. This man was responsible for his near-death? And now he was challenging him to a rematch, and Mireli knew that Shugo being the hero that he was...would be unable to resist.
Someone ran past, Miri looked and caught a shock of blue hair in her vision. "Shugo!" She called out, chasing after him down the hallway, albeit at a much slower speed. She reached the communications room just as he cursed to himself.
"You can't go after him. Not alone, not again." Sure she was stating the obvious but she wanted to make sure that his stupidity would not be tolerated.

that man... he scares me.
| Nanami made her way to the MV-Phoenix under orders from Amakusa, and sought to be a branch between AURA and Equilibrium. She was to talk to Shugo Yuy and come to an agreement to work together against Riot, but she wasn't sure what she'd say exactly, or if she could even be convincing. She had no idea what kind of man Shugo was, or if he'd even give her the time of day. What if he just beat her up and left it at that? She was nervous.
"Wha... what is that...?"
She was freaked out by the sudden transmission, and on a nearby screen, she could see a white-haired man giving a speech. What he said was most blood-curdling, and Nanami felt chills go down her spine. This was the kind of thing she was getting involved in, and she wanted no part of it. She was scared, but she had an obligation to Amakusa, and she had to see it through. She saw a blue-haired man run past, and she was about to call out to him to ask him where she could find Shugo, but the man was much too fast.
She started to run after him, although much more slowly, and arrived at the communication room behind the man and another girl. It seemed he half-expected to find the man here, or at least some sign of how that video was broadcast. Nanami walked in and began to examine the room and the devices, finding nothing particularly tampered with. The entire thing was done from outside the ship.
"It appears to have been remote access... the man had a way to get into your system, possibly through a password that someone might've had... is everyone on the ship accounted for?" She would ask the blue-haired man, implying that maybe one of the crew members went missing, possibly kidnapped by the white-haired man.
A few moments passed before she realized she was speaking out of turn, and she panicked and bowed to the man and the woman. "I'm so sorry! My name is Nanami Chosokabe, I'm here under orders from Amakusa Industries and Equilibrium! I didn't mean to just barge in!" |

“Don’t worry Mir… I’m not planning on fighting him alone…”
The words came out a little ominously. I hadn’t come to my decision yet… I wasn’t sure if I was going to kill Kaiser yet or not. Him threatening to kill my friends didn’t help one bit. Dammit… my friends being targeted was the reason I put that god forsaken mask on in the first place. I wish I had been able to keep it on at times like this. I shook my head though to pull myself from the thoughts. I was part of a team now. I had to act like a team player. I couldn’t just take everything on myself. But at the same time… this was my fight. I couldn’t drag anyone else into it either. The words of the other girl snapped me out of it.
“There’s no crew for the ship. My brother was the one that originally wired this thing up, but all of the Defenders in AURA have access to the WIFI key. It’s connected directly to a Yuy Corporation satellite array that it gets internet access from. I’m not sure on the details or the specifics, but does that mean that this guy was hacking through Yuy Corp?”
Was there a mole inside of my company? I grimaced at the thought of it. This was becoming so much bigger than I ever thought it might. Wasn’t all of this just reckless gang violence? It was supposed to be so petty that the Police didn’t even feel like dealing with it. People’s lives were being lost though… and I couldn’t stand for that. I turned back to the girl and chuckled slightly when she apologized and introduced herself. My demeanor switched from the serious and slightly ticked off one, to a much friendlier and nicer tone. I extended my right hand out in friendship with a smile to Nanami.
“I’m Shugo Yuy, and this is Mireli. I’ll be glad to discuss with you whatever you wanted, but first could you do me a favor and help me get this ship off of the network. I don’t want to risk any more intrusions. I don’t really know what I’m doing with this stuff. Normally I’d ask my brother, but… he’s been avoiding me for a while.”
I assumed that Valo was angry with me for disappearing. He had every right to. I knew I was going to have to make amends and win my friends back. I also didn’t want Kaiser gaining access to any of the cameras or anything else on the ship.

She narrowed her eyes slightly at his words, wanting to believe him, but she also knew how loyal he was to his friends and his fellow mankind. It was admirable, and also incredibly stupid to run into the fire. However, if he was going to be stupid, Miri figured she would do what she could to assist. That's what friends were for.
Mireli didn't know the first thing about technology. She didn't even own a cell phone. When Shugo and Nanami talked about arrays and satellites, Mireli tried to keep up but ultimately knew that she wouldn't understand a word of it.
Shugo introduced himself and, and Miri responded with a slight wave, but her lips were pressed together tightly.

so this is the man i'm looking for; not what i was expecting.
| Nanami nodded and quickly went towards the control terminal, punching keys. She'd go through several screens, typing fast, and within moments she'd have the password to the ship changed. She'd look over at Shugo before speaking.
"I should've asked your previous password so I could avoid all of that extra work but... I switched the ship's password for you. While it's not concrete defense, it should hold over until I get some better protection installed for you. The password is "pandafishy12", just so you know... I mean, it was the first thing I could think of, and numbers are always safe to add to your password, but you could just change it when you have the time and..."
She realized she was rambling, and quickly bowed again. "I'm so sorry! I do that sometimes! It's a pleasure to meet both of you, Mr. Yuy and Miss Mireli!" She stood up to look at them again.
"And... the reason your brother isn't here to do this himself is he's currently being detained by Amakusa Industries... he was hacking into our database. I can't disclose what he was looking for, however..."
She hoped to put their minds at ease about where he could be, although the fact he was being detained was probably a scary thought on its own.

I watched in amazement as the girl made the necessary adjustments. I took a step back from her as she did her work and inputted the password into a memo in my phone. Nodding as I listened to her, I would end up giving a light laugh when she was embarrassed. He shook his head at her apology and slid his phone into his pocket.
"No it's fine. You have something you're passionate about. I like that."
I crossed my arms and listened as she spoke about Valo, nodding along with her. Valo had hacked into something? He had to have his reasons, I decided. I turned my back to Mireli and Nanami as I started to head towards the door.
"Well then. Let's go get him."
I wasn't going to be angry at Amakusa for detaining him for hacking into their systems. Nor was I going to be angry at Valo about this either. No, I was just going to get my brother back and then focus on this thing with Kaiser. Picking up my coat from the deck, I would make my way towards the stairs, stopping to look back for Mireli and Nanami.

[Ooc: As an IT professional, that is NOT a super secure password! XD]
Mireli watched the two interact, still in the dark about what they were doing with the computers. Someone had tried to hack a system? Valo...the name sounded familiar. Oh! The boy from the cafe! He had also been at the meeting for the Defenders, and on the field trip when the bus careened out of control. He was being detained? Who were Amakusa Industries?
She was not surprised by Shugo's response. On one hand she was grateful to have a friend that was willing to put themselves in danger for those they cared about, but on the other hand they had no idea what they were going to be facing. Amakusa Industries sounded like a big foreboding corporation with plenty of security to keep people out. The again, her imagination was starting to go wild and for all she knew, it could be a shack beneath the pier of Coney Island.
"Alright. I'm with you." She decided she wouldn't let him run off by himself. It would probably be dangerous, but if she could provide some assistance to make sure the venture was successful and not a fatal failure, then so be it.

(OOC: Shhhh. It's in character for her. xDD)
oh no! this wasn't part of the plan!
| "... Huh?!"
Wait, did he just say they'll go get him? As in go to Amakusa Industries? As in right now? Nanami was having a mental panic attack, as that wasn't the intention of her visit.
"W-wait! That isn't why I came here though!"
She'd run after the others, not wanting to get left behind. She had to speak to Shugo about something else entirely. But it seemed like his mind was made up. Nanami just wasn't sure how she'd explain it to Mr. Amakusa or Haji that the call for an alliance was put on halt because she let something confidential slip. Her brain wasn't exactly filtered. |
