Name:
Caelum Magnus-Stärke
Alias:
Age:
17
Grade:
Senior
Height:
6'2''
Weight:
180 lbs
Eye Color:
Green (Red with contacts)
Hair Color:
Red
Appearance:
Note that he looks exactly like Macht and Mikey, with the exception that he currently has both of his eyes.
Personality:
Caelum is extremely cocky and carefree, and you'll be hard pressed to find him without his trademark smile. However, this usually merits him a lot of enemies who get pissy with his attitude, but he pays them no mind and feels like he's on top of the world. This doesn't mean he is dumb, however, as he takes pride in being a Starke and living up to their name in being intelligent members of society. Caelum is incredibly lazy, a trait he shares with his cousin, Mikey, and as such, he is never really pushed to his full potential out of the fact that he feels like it's too much effort to do so. This laziness is reflected in his fighting style.
The true reason for his laziness is due to a deeply rooted depression nagging away at him from childhood, but he masks it well and comes off as just not caring about anything. The only things he truly cares about in the world are Macht, Mikey, Adelheid, Christa, and Jenny. Namely, his family.
Fighting Style:
Caelum lacks any sort of finesse with he fights, having brawled on the streets throughout much of his youth. His fighting style is rather unpredictable, not having any sort of formal training. He does what he feels is best in that moment, whether it's going for a straightforward attack or beating someone with a pipe he happened to find nearby. He strikes hard, and is incredibly perceptive for someone of his nature. But again, he's lazy. If his opponent is on the ground, instead of pile driving them, he'd just let his body fall and let gravity do the work.
Strengths:
Caelum is very unpredictable, making him rather difficult to fight at times as it's almost impossible to predict what he'll do next. His strength is abnormally high despite his laziness, and he's also incredibly perceptive to everything around him.
Weaknesses:
Due to Caelum's laziness, he'll often be put into a bad situation in fights that his opponent can capitalize on, or he'll just forfeit a fight due to too much effort. He's also not the fastest guy around, trying to make up for his lack of mobility through remaining as stationary as possible. He also suffers against the most experienced of fighters as he can't be bothered to try and keep up with them.
History:
Born into the distinguished, yet tragic, Starke family, Caelum had a slightly different upbringing for not being a part of the main branch of the family. His mother married into the Starke family and he was conceived, sharing the look of a Starke but not their raw ability as they grew up. Everything he tried to do, Adelheid, Macht, Genevieve, and Marko were always better at doing. While it was never held against him by them, his own parents seemed to look down at his incompetence. Overtime, it developed into him not caring and opting to not put any effort in as he could never please them.
He grew a fondness for Christa Starke, his aunt, for always treating him as though he was like the others. He loved her more than he loved his own mother. He loved his cousins as though they were his real siblings, and he always felt at peace with them. But he was no older than five when tragedy struck, and his cousins were taken away from him, sent to an orphanage. He still had his parents, but they were left with Caelum, the one who they could only look upon with disdain.
Caelum was dropped into an orphanage separate from the others, only because his father felt it was the best way to teach Caelum a lesson and tough him up (his father's words: Time to stop being a little bitch.). He didn't care anymore. He lost what mattered most to him, and he couldn't even be by his aunt's side when she was as ill as she was.
It was a brutal next few years for Caelum, constantly being picked on or bullied or beat up. He developed an affinity for not caring when he was hit, just remaining on the ground and not bothering to get up at all. He lacked the energy, or perhaps the willpower, to do so, just taking his punishment as it came. He'd often end up as just a bloody heap on the floor, staring blankly at nothing as his parents' words rang through his head.
One day when he was 13, he was attacked again, being knocked to the floor. Unlike the previous times, however, one of the kids pulled a fork out as he stood above Caelum. He talked about how he was going to kill him, pissed off at his uncaring attitude and his heritage. For the first time in his life, Caelum fought back. As the kid came down with the fork, Caelum moved and uppercut him in the nether regions, grabbing the fork from him and stabbing the kid in the eye (An eye witness's report on Caelum's words: It'll be hard to enjoy your victory with one friggin' eye!). He tore the eye from the kid's face, images of his cousins flashing through his head. No, he couldn't die on them. He had to see them again, and he wouldn't allow himself to go in a shithole like this.
He was stuck in isolation following this incident, where his parents learned of his actions and came to take him back. His father took it as he finally toughened up, but instead, Caelum just reflected on what he had done. He had been there for eight years. What had changed, in himself and back at home?
Caelum returned to an empty home. His cousins weren't there. No Macht. No Marko. No Genevieve. No Adelheid. It was an empty, broken home. Rudolf was gone, and Christa wasn't the same. He became a closed off boy who didn't speak much for the next four years. He didn't care much for living up to the Starke name at this point, for he didn't see much to live for without his cousins around.
Current day, Caelum was living at the Starke family home when he heard news of Christa's conditions and her being moved to a hospital in the city. Additionally, on the news, he saw reports of all of the Fear attacks and couldn't explain the strange feeling he got. Leaving his home without a word, he made his way to the city to see his aunt, unsure of what he was getting himself into.
