Hemera/Nyka: Hemera would find neither a pencil or paper, nor a mirror in the desk. However, as she stood in front of the window, though it was opaque, it was however, still glass, and therefore, reflective. If she could smash part of the pane and obtain a large shard of the glass, it could help her read the message on the plaque. All she needed was something strong enough to hit the window with, but not so heavy she couldn't lift it up. Aldritch: The knob would indeed turn, and as Aldritch kicked the door down, a bright white light would greet him. As he stepped through the door, the door would slow close behind him, and he would find himself standing alone in a large, circular room, with one archway behind him, and six more archways lining the room. Though he was the first one to arrive, he would certainly not be the only. For now, all he could do was wait until others arrived... whoever they were. Ruby: Ruby's strategy would work smoothly, and after much careful but fancy footwork, would find herself standing in front of the door with the obelisk shaped relief. Once she placed the obelisk in the relief, she would hear the door click, and once she opened it, a bright white light would greet her. As she stepped through the door, the door would slow close behind her, and she would find herself standing in the same large, circular room Aldritch arrived in several minutes ago, noticing the albino nearby. Tobias: As Tobias held the lighter underneath the paper, at first, nothing would appear. But, as a bit of the flame caught the paper on fire, he would notice it did not burn up, but instead, words would slowly end up printing on the sheet, and once it was fully burnt, it said: I am born in fear, raised in truth, and I come to my own in deed. When comes a time that I’m called forth, I come to serve the cause of need.
What am I?Felix: As the coin showed tails to Felix, it seemed his choice was set. But before he boarded the train, the second line of the riddle would suddenly pop up in his head. Doom laid on the blue train, if he picked it, unless this choice was the one he lost. Same went for the red train. But he did have another option available to him, aside from the red or the blue train. He could pick neither. He had better make his choice soon, he didn't have long to decide. Musashi: Having taken no action, Musashi would find the floor in front of him crumbling quickly, and with the door behind him locked, he had no way of escaping. With nowhere to go, soon, the floor beneath Musashi would give way, and he would end up falling down towards the spike pit... and wake up safe and sound on the road he had been sitting on before. Was it real... or just a dream...? Ira: As Ira made her way towards the door, she would find there was no one around, neither friend nor foe, which was either a good thing, or very unnerving. Upon reaching the door, as she grabbed hold of the door handle and turned it, opening the door, it would not creak, but instead, a bright white light would greet her. As she stepped through the door, the door would slow close behind her, and she would find herself standing in the same large, circular room Ruby arrived in quite some time ago, noticing her and Aldritch nearby. (OOC: Musashi has been removed from the event for not posting in time. I am sorry, but I needed the event to move, or it will take months for it to finish.)

As the paper caught fire, Tobias tried to wave it out before he noticed that it wasn't burning and letters started to appear. Staring at the message got his neurons sparking as he thought about the riddle. Raised in truth and born in fear? As he read the lines, the more one thought came to him.
"Courage?"
What does courage have to do with this situation? Was it talking about his courage? Sure he had some; but sometimes it could be seen stubbornness or stupidity by others. Tobias was not one to deny he felt fear. One could not have true courage without having faced true fear. The accident shook him greatly and left his ego tattered. His sense of youthful invincibility was shattered as he saw the world's true face. His mind fell back into the memories. First being pushed in on a wheelchair and trying to rebuild his lost confidence. He would walk again and damn the skeptics. It took him a while before he could manage to even stand. That first day standing was his greatest accomplishment. His mind came back to the present and a smile formed on his lips. Courage came to him when he needed it and made him greater than he had ever been.

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X As the light blinded her upon opening the door, Ruby would instinctively grab at the hood of her cloak and bring it up to max her face and hide her eye from the harshness of the light. However, it quickly faded, much to her relief, and she found herself in a strange room. It was dark enough, but still was seemingly empty to her--no objects seeming to be present other than a young man with white hair much like her own. Confused, she took a step forward and studied him, giving a small gasp at his appearance. "Is this a summoning of some sort?!" She exclaimed, running toward Aldritch, but stopping a few feet away. The girl would whip around. "No, can't be. I thought I was the only one..." Now it was unclear exactly what she was talking about, but Ruby seemed to be pretty set on whatever conclusion she'd made. As such, she would place her hands on her hips and look around. "Is this a dream, or another test? Boy, am I supposed to be here 'till death? Seems anti-climatic. But maybe that's what happens to people like me. Huh. Guess it explains why I wouldn't see any old people like me. Hey, have you seen a white-haired young man around here?" She'd ask, turning back to the other albino. "Right. Never mind. I'd have seen him, too..." Ruby would sigh and shake her head. "Never mind. I don't know what's going on. Maybe I'm dead. I mean, I don't recall dying, but perhaps I somehow was raptured into the other world. Is this the fate of those born with the curse?" A long while would pass and she'd stay in silence, before another question triggered her mind. "I had to complete a sort of test to get here. But that test was simply progressing with the strange item that was out of place. It was practically asking for me to go a certain way. But right now... there's no signs... I guess this might be a test of patience, then." And with that, Ruby would go back to the closed door where she'd come from and lean against it, crossing her arms. May as well wait and see what happened next.

THEY WANT MY HEAD NOT MY MIND.
❝ IRA | Bemused at the oddity of the situation, Ira did what she basically needed to do--she hesitated for a few seconds and stepped through the door, wary at what would unfold before her.
A life of constant inaction, bodily and mental, - the fiction of ceaseless ennui and discontent unnerved her until she was flung unceremoniously onto this puzzling place, unsure if she was capable of surviving.
The ivory light that stained the floor made her flinched while her glance fell on an ivory-hair man, with crimson eyes. She briefly registered that another girl was present, and she failed to make a move for the moment; she wasn't sure if she should attack an unknown, possible foe.
"Aldritch." She said, addressing him out of familiarity and a spark small amusement at his levity the last time they'd met. She should have been warm and nice--they were both close and knew each other fairly well, hence warranting a deep welcome.
"What the bloody hell are you doing here?"

feel the light shining in the dark of the night | "Eh... Goddamnit. Now!?" Aldritch tried looking at things, seeing if there's anything around that can help him escape the place, though as it seems, there weren't anything elese that seemed off. With the orb in his hand, he'd sit down and toss it up and down, playing with it in boredom. Looking at the archways around the room, it's highly possible that someone else might come and join him seeing how he came out of one. And he was right.
A few more minutes later, A woman came in. He totally ignored everything she said and decided to have a little fun. "Welcome to hell. Did you get the express ticket down?" Aldritch said with a straight, gloomy face, acting as if he was welcoming her in the afterlife. Aldritch would begin to chuckle and rub his face, it was probably not the best time to kid around, though he was most probably right, it might have been the afterlife. Most probably, he was shot straight in the head, and right now, his body must be bathing on its own pool of blood at the robbery he was caught in the middle of.
But then, before he could even speak to the girl that he was just kidding and unsure of what's happening, a familiar face came crashing in. "Ira? You too?" He asked in surprise. "Well, im sitting if that ain't obvious yet." He answered. Knowing Ira, if this were to be the afterlife, she would definitely be in hell, meaning he is too. "Welcome, welcome to hell. How did you die?"

There was nothing. Other than the obvious decoration, there was nothing supplemental that she could use. With a sigh, she braced herself on the desk and looked up at the window. In it, she could see herself and the room around her. One headphone had fallen out of her ear, but she didn't care about it right now. Ready to admit defeat, it was then that Nyka decided to pipe in. 'Hemera. The answer is literally right in front of you.' She stood back and stared at the window. It was reflective. Becoming excited, she ran to the bed and tore off a long, thin piece of the comforter measuring approximately 4 inches. She approached the window again, wrapping the cloth around her hand several times. Drawing her right hand back, she put all of her strength into her arm as she released a quick punch to the window's surface. Sadly, her hand didn't go through the glass. "Huh," commented Hemera. Maybe she needed something to concentrate the blow into one central spot.... Looking around again, her gaze fell on the candlestick on the desk. Aha! She removed the candle from the stick and held it in her left hand with it tilted to allow the wax to drip to the floor. Candlestick in her right hand, she pulled her arm back and flung her arm forward once more, aiming the narrowed base at the surface and.......... Eureka! The glass cracked into large enough pieces to be used to read the plaque. Using her nails, she eased a piece of glass from the frame and smiled. Now... Hemera replaced the candle on the candlestick and sat it on the ground next to her. With the glass, she tried to read the message on the wall. But she just couldn't. All she could see was the room through the glass. But what if she made the wall with the writing more prominent? With the candlestick in one hand and the glass carefully grasped in the other, Hemera leaned in to see what the reflection on the glass told her....

Stepping through the door that unlocked after he had completed what appeared to be a trial of some sort, as the blinding white light that greeted and engulfed him faded, the door having closed behind him, Kazuya would find himself in a large room of sorts... and it appeared he was not alone. The only unfamiliar face to him the girl with white hair, he recognized Aldritch and Ira, he would bow his head slightly to Aldritch and the other girl, before turning his attention to Ira, as he would head towards the nearest wall... well, what could be considered a wall in the round room anyways, as he would sit down on the floor, bending both his knees upwards as he rested his arms on top and leaned back against the wall.
"Ira. I wasn't expecting you to be here."

Hemera/Nyka: With the light from the flame of the candlestick, combined with the shard of the window, Hemera would be able read the words on the plaque, reflected onto the shard, which said:
An item lies on the table you see Choose it with reason and find the path to be The one you choose is the one you have chosen The one you must use or forever remain frozen
If she turned around and looked at the desk, she would see three items on top of it, laid out in a single row: a magnifying glass, a key, and a flask of water. Now it was up to her to solve the riddle and get out.
Aldritch: As Aldritch was joined by Ruby and Ira, he would notice from the corner of his eye, the orange orb he held glow faintly, as in front of him, in the middle of the room, one of the seven slots would begin to glow white, almost as if beckoning for him to place the orb in the slot.
Ruby: After Ruby noticed Aldritch and started half talking to him, half talking to herself, she would notice a glow emanate from the large slot in the middle of the room, as a small, orange orb appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. Once she walked over and picked it up, just like Aldritch, one of the slots would begin to glow, almost as if beckoning for her to place the orb in the slot.
Tobias: Tobias was indeed correct, even if he sounded unsure. As he spoke the word, he would hear a clicking sound issue from the door of the room, as if something had been unlocked. Question was, did he have the courage to open the door and step through it, not knowing what awaited him behind it?
Kazuya: After entering into the large room and acknowledging everyone in the room, especially Ira, and taking a seat on the floor, Kazuya would notice a glow emanate from the large slot in the middle of the room, as a small, orange orb appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. Once he got up and walked over and picked it up, just like Aldritch, Ruby, and Ira, one of the slots would begin to glow, almost as if beckoning for him to place the orb in the slot.
Ira: After speaking to Aldritch, Ira would notice from the corner of her eye, the orange orb she held glow faintly, as just like Aldritch and Ruby previously, one of the slots would begin to glow white, almost as if beckoning for her to place the orb in the slot.

feel the light shining in the dark of the night | As Aldritch spoke, the orb he was playing with started to glow. A bright orage light emanated from it and illuminated Aldritch's face as he started inspecting it. On the floor in front of him, a small on the floor would illuminate. As these began to glow, it felt as if the orb in his hand grew heavier. The orb seemed to fit perfectly on the glowing slot at the floor.
"Hmmm... Just a second" He said, dismissing his talk with Ira for a while to crawl forward and examine the glowing slot. Looking back and forth at the orb and at the slot in the hole, Aldritch showed a confused expression. He then placed the orb on the ground, as it seemed to be the most obvious thing to do.

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X Ruby half ignored what Aldrtich had said, quite sure with herself that she wasn't dead. There was no way. After all--she didn't recall dying, and she was sure that this wasn't what the afterlife was like... at least, she was quite sure of it. The girl blinked when she saw the orb appear as well as the slot opening up to her attention. She'd hesitate, but deciding that there didn't seem to be any other option, she'd do as what was implied and followed the actions of others--placing the orb where she was sure it belonged. The girl would step back and watch, waiting to see what would happen. At this point, she didn't really care if it was dangerous or not. There seemed to be no other way to get out of here other than progressing forward, so there was no point in being afraid and holding back. The only issue was that she wasn't alone. There seemed to be quite a few others, so now the real question was, "What was really going on?" Of course, she wouldn't ask aloud, but she couldn't help but to wonder. Why were they all trapped in this place? Were they going to have to work together to escape, all of them? Or would they eventually be forced to turn on one-another? If it was the latter, Ruby simply hoped she'd be able to stray from the group and find her own path... perhaps she'd be able to ditch them and get out on her own. After all, for all she knew, they were going to turn around and try to kill her. But of course, it was possible they were all going to be tested in some way. For now, she wouldn't do anything to get away from them, nor to show she was comfortable around these strangers. No, for now, she would just stay cautious to everyone and everything. | Nodding briefly to acknowledge Kazuya, Ira's notice was drawn to the orb, and her eyes narrowed in suspicion as things begin glowing. However, her curiosity was piqued, and she generally followed the minor rule of-- if something doesn't make sense, she'll poke it with a stick.
Make that two.
Placing the orb snugly into the slot, she stepped away slowly, wary that it might explode upon her. Her muscles tensed slightly, and she waited.

Keeping to himself for the most part, one eye just barely visible beneath the shadows that hid the top half of his face as he watched the small, orange orbs Aldritch and Ira held glow, before the two of them, and the other white haired girl, after receiving an orb of her own from the slot in the middle of the room, placed them down one of the seven slots encircling the middle slot. As soon as Ira placed hers in its designated slot, it would appear it was his turn, as one would appear in the middle of the room, while another slot would begin to glow.
Pushing himself to his feet, Kazuya would walk over and pick the orb up, and glancing down at the slot glowing white nearby, he would crouch down and place it in the slot, making that four of the seven slots filled by an orb. Straightening up, he would take a step back, warily watching the four orbs, before returning back to sitting up against the wall.
"Three more slots left... Which means three more will come..."

A resounding click was heard from the door and a smile came across his face once more as he turned his head toward the door. It was the sound that would allow him to continue his path wherever it should lead. His cane would clink as he walked toward the door and the sound would echo throughout the empty room as he moved closer. Placing a hand upon the door handle and turning it, Tobias chuckles as he pushes outward from himself.
Let's see where this takes us and what new adventures await.
Almost as if a darkness within him stirred, Tobias could feel a sense of wickedness or madness creep in slowly. The unknown was always exciting and could get his blood boiling. He would step through with a glint of eagerness and madness in his eyes, though they were partially hidden by his sunglasses.

Magnifying glass...key....flask of water....what could it mean? The riddle implied that Hemera needed one of these items in order to advance, probably through one of the three doors. As she stared at the three items, she began to think. Magnifying glass mean close observation....key, of course, would be the most obvious choice, which made it instantly unlikely...flask of water? Something to do with clarity? That thought sidetracked her into thinking about the whole 'glass half empty or half full' ordeal. Shaking her head, she thought back to what her mother would say to her.
'Believe in yourself. If you are healthy and well, it is all you need in the world to continue through life. Yes, having someone to share it with can enrich it, but it is not something you need to be happy.' A stunning clarity dawned on her. She didn't need any of these items. Hemera then turned to the doors. These doors....what could they be? Artless....naivety, natural, without deceit? No, she couldn't say that was her. She played a pretty game but she'd been raised to look out for herself only. All the pretty lies she told were to make others happy. Imperious...arrogance? Maybe she was a little bit. She had gone to one of the best schools in her youth, raised along with other higher class individuals. She had developed a narcissistic side, maybe even though she was better than everyone else. That seemed like a good option for the moment. Now, superficial... she wasn't so petty as to only think of only looks. If that was the case, she wouldn't have been smart enough to live on the streets all those years. When Hemera thought about all three doors.....the most likely option seemed to be imperious. However, 'artless' resounded within her. Taking a chance, she grasped the door labeled 'artless' and twisted the knob, pushing the door open. She would hope that her decision was the right one. No...she knew it had to be. She had much to learn in this world and that alone made her naive, if anything else.

Hemera/Nyka: The moment Hemera realized she didn't need any of the three items, all three would shoot upwards from the table and disappear from sight. After turning to the three doors and deliberating for a bit, before finally deciding on her choice, as she grasped the doorknob labeled 'Artless' and twisted it, pushing the door open, a bright white light would greet her. As she stepped through the door, the door would slow close behind her, and she would find herself standing in the same large, circular room that Aldritch, Ruby, Ira, and Kazuya were gathered in, noticing the four nearby.
Tobias: As Tobias grabbed the door handle and turned it, opening the door, a bright white light would greet him. As he stepped through the door, the door would slow close behind him, and he would find himself standing in the same large, circular room that Aldritch, Ruby, Ira, and Kazuya were gathered in, Hemera arriving not too long before him, noticing them nearby.
Aldritch/Ruby/Ira/Kazuya: As the four of them placed their orbs into their respective slots, they would see the orbs light up and glow white, but nothing else would happen, so they could relax for the time being. That left three more headed their way, and it wouldn't be long before two newcomers would join them, Hemera first, then Tobias after. That left only one person now.
