A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

[OoC: For ✞ ascension ✞, Paige Weaver, ❤️ sirynn the hungry ❤️, Cedric Kenelm, Alex Dragon, Lexington. NOTE: Anything you put up for trade with the Gambler CAN be lost, if you cannot beat him. At which point, you lose it entirely, be it a qi, an item, or something about your character. Follow the rules set by the Gambler as the game progresses.] At an old bar in New York City, a large group could be seen leaving a table in the far corner. Many of those who were leaving looked incredibly upset, and one of them you could even witness aging as he walked. There remained but two at this table: the Gambler, and his last opponent. The old man was sweating rather nervously, as he looked down at his cards. "All in," he said, pushing his chips into the pile. The Gambler laughed, doing exactly the same thing, and then his opponent began to lay down his cards, one by one. He had four of a kind - with four nines, and an eight in there. Sweating nervously, the man was evidently incredibly anxious. Everything hinged on this moment - live or die, the Gambler's hand was the deciding factor. The Gambler smiled, looking down at his hand. He had a royal flush, the single unbeatable hand, the one thing that could make the four-of-a-kind worthless. So he began to put down his cards. An Ace of Spades. A King of Spades. A Queen of Spades. A Jack of Spades. And... a Four of Hearts. The old man breathed a breath of relief as the Gambler's last card changed its appearance, and the man won the game. With a snap of his fingers, all the chips on the table turned to a mist, and would flow into the man's pores. Any watching could see him quickly become younger and younger, the years basically falling off of him. "Looks like today's your lucky day, old timer," the Gambler said with a shrug. "Give the daughter my regards."The old man would stand from the table and bow his head in thanks, before taking off in excitement. Meanwhile, the Gambler would collect his cards, as he noticed the next crowd begin to form. "Come, take a seat."

YOU GOT ME GOING CRAZY our tiny cotton ball hero would walk into this swaggy establishment, clad in a giant swaggy hotdog costume. the costume said "have you seen my weiner? :^)" on the front of it, making it extra classy. it even had the optional ketchup and mustard accessories stuck on it! sweet!
she would watch as some fancy man in a fancy hat would do magic trick to make an old custy dude into a not so gross guy! she was amazed by this... what if he could make something magical happen to her too?!
she would plop her fine booty into a seat beside cedric, getting nice and comfy, practically flopping her arms onto the table. she was very visibly excited, finding it hard to keep still in her seat.
"show us more magic, magic man!!!!!"

-- flyer than the rest of 'em ! Word tends to travel fast when you're one of the warring powers of NYC. This Gambler character has known to do miracle work. He can make the old young, the poor rich, and the grieving happy. The rumors continue to rise and eventually reached the undisputed heir to the cocaine dusted throne. So, Juelz Santana, took it upon himself to meet this mysterious man face-to-face. Too must, the sights they may have witnessed may have shock them to their very core. If that really is the case, these ignorant souls must be living under rocks. With all the recent events that have hit this unsuspecting city. This was nothing more than child's play. Approaching the table with ambled steps, Santana took a seat away from the others and eyed The Gambler through thick shades. |

That's IT | Rematch |
I was amazed at how his magic worked, but then looked at the others. They where all taking the apperance of what their luck had brought them. Should I test my luck, or should I just skip? Curiosity got the better of me and I approached the table.
I would sit next to the pink haired girl and silently wait.

Lexington was sitting at the table behind the Gambler and overheard everything that was going on. He turned to look over his shoulder and he watched as the old man began to regain his youth. Interesting and tempting, were the two words that instantly popped into Lexington's head. He patted himself down quickly and found his Blood Cuff on his belt loop that he received for fighting the mysterious Riot leader with wings. Lexington shuddered a little at the thought of the wings and how quickly he lost the fight with Kaiser. Lexington stood up after thought and turned to sit at the Gambler's table only to realize that a group of students from his school were now seated or standing near the table.. Somehow Lexington never fails to run into PHS students.. Their school isn't even that big.. When the Gambler spoke, Lexington listened and he pulled up a chair and sat down next to Sirynn and Alex without saying a word.

"I assume the lot of you are here with reason," the Gambler said as he began to shuffle his cards in style. "Rules are simple. It's like a game of high-stakes poker - whatever you put down, I'll match in kind, but just remember you've got the potential to lose it forever." He paused for a moment to light a cigar, and took a rather long drag.
"We'll do a round of betting once I deal out the hole cards, but don't none of you mind what those around you are puttin' down. The only one you're playin' is me - but I'm playin' the lot of you. Now, y'all have the option to fold and risk nothing, place your bet, or up the ante. Once we've all made a bet or fold, I'll deal the flop, and we'll go clockwise from there - you'll get the option to keep your bet as-is, or up the ante. Then I'll deal a fourth card, and it's the same thing. Fifth card, repeat. After then, we all reveal our hands, and the best hand - from our two cards, and three of the five on the table - wins.
"If your hand loses to mine, no matter who wins, you lose your bet. You can play another game to win it back, if you so choose, in that event. The winner has the option to continue playing or walk away happy. Make sense?"
If everyone was in agreement, the Gambler would hand out the cards and go clockwise - Paige, Cedric, Sirynn, Lexington, Alex, Juelz, and then himself.
Paige: Ace of Spades, Two of Hearts Cedric: Eight of Clubs, Eight of Spades Sirynn: Eight of Hearts, Ten of Hearts Lexington: Jack of Diamonds, Queen of Diamonds Alex: Ace of Clubs, Eight of Diamonds Juelz: King of Diamonds, Ace of Diamonds Gambler: King of Hearts, Ace of Hearts

Paige would look at her hand for a moment completely lost at this game already. She would give a small sigh as she slowly slipped off her gold ring and put it on the table. "Hey can I bet this man?" Paige would smile calmly as she looked at the Gambler.

-- flyer than the rest of 'em ! With a specific item clutched, Juelz thought long and hard about the ante. Money was of no shortage when it came to the cocaine connoisseur. So throwing a large roll of cash into the pot was a pretty sound option. But going about it in such a way screamed "Basic Bitch"—and Juelz Santana was the furthest thing from such a thing. He rubbed the smooth surface of the item clutched and felt himself wanting to risk it more and more. Why? It's just what he did. This item—some old ass Pokéball Necklace gave him unparalleled luck and had a special place in that decrepit chest cavity of his. To him, the necklace was worth more than anything in this greedy world, but he could part with it without bating a single eye at any given whim. The little charm held so much history and insight when it came to the young-adult, apart of him hated totting around the item just for that reason alone. He needed to stay strong and kingly when in the presence of common-folk, but he couldn't do that knowing one little girly charm could cease all that if he ever misplaced it. Though, in that same regard. The same item brought him a fortune and foundation not a single soul could take away or try to conquer. It's a complicated mess of jumbled emotion and attempts to keep up feeble facades. Stretching his arm, the charm rolled into the center of the table as he examined the cards dealt in typical poker fashion. |
Item Name: Memento Mori Stats: N|A Description:A PokéBall charm necklace that means almost everything to Juelz. He'd traverse to the edge of earth to retrieve it if such an item ever passed from his possession. Ability: N|A

YOU GOT ME GOING CRAZY high-stakes poker? did she have to poke people??? gosh sirynn was confused. her 5 int was really activated for this thread, but she would nod and slap a giant ring with a 5 inch silicone brown turd on it onto the table. her item was pretty swaggy as heck, so she was totally down to bet it. she knew she was def going to be the envy at everybody at the table.
but when the gambler would deal, sirynn would stare at her cards, trying to figure out why this funny hat man only gave out two cards each. was this some super extreme version of go fish? dang. she had no idea, either way, this game seemed way too intense. was there different rules? maybe someone else would know how to play...
"h-hang on...." she would mumble, hopping her hotdog body off her chair, and waddling over to santana. she would stand on her tippy toes to try and talk quietly to him(instead of whispering in his ear) so only he could hear, remembering that he didn't like it when she got too much in his face.
"uhmmmmm, do you have any eights? i know it's a long shot, but i really wanna win this game of go fish, okie? but this kinda feels like a super intense version that i don't know how to play..." she would hop between her two feet nervously, hoping her bestie 4 lyfe would help her.
Poop Ring of Pure Pooping Power: +5 WIS. Makes your opponents shit themselves once per thread out of fear - used only in speed events/humor threads. Can only be used on up to 3 people per thread. This turd shaped ring makes you super wise and cool. You're not really sure why, but you don't question it.

Lexington grabbed the two cards that were dealt to him, he wasn't a very big poker player, but he could manage on his own. He wanted to scratch the back of his head or adjust his seat, but he didn't want to seem nervous. So, Lexington reached down to his belt loop and undid the glove that was attached and he put it on his lap. He looked over to the other players with a blank stare and held his cards down so they were facing the table. He awaited for Cedric to make his move.
Item: Blood Cuff: +3 Str One of Kaiser's strange gloves he was wearing when he assaulted AURA. It has been modified to be less damaging to the user. Power: The mechanism on the glove activates a blood weapon that can be used for 1 post per 15 INT. The strength of the blade is determined by INT.)

Cedric stared at his cards for a moment thinking "Two of a kind eh... not a bad hand, but still this seems fishy, best to be cautious for now" he thought as he looked up and said "So we're able to bet anything right? I mean if people are betting their youth I figured I Could offer up an ability"
(OOC betting
Life of the Party: Once per thread, the user can intercept damage for an ally that is more hurt than them (the target must have less overall Con, or be more wounded in total.), taking the damage themselves. If the user is not incapacitated, over the course of five rounds, they will fully recover from the damage. This process can be halted by being incapacitated by any means.)

That's IT | Luck |
I looked at my cards and found nothing good in them. This game was all up to luck and chance, which made this game risky. After the guy told us to be something, I instantly knew what to bet.
"I'm betting a power, but I don't know how am I going to put it on the table."
(OOC: Betting this Qi ability Dark Sense (Tier 1) [1 post per 5 INT] Find a person or object you seek using their dark scent. Not very strong, but it gives hints on where the object is or where the person went. The scent only shows up in a small 12 in. Radius,so movement is key. )
