A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

So this is 552, huh.
Jude stepped past the school gates for the first time and immediately noticed the noise. Yelling, laughing, footsteps, and of course, the sound of flesh hitting flesh. This environment was a little more rough around the edges than he was used to. No, it was just rougher. Period.
Suddenly, Jude felt a pang of loneliness. His natural response would have been to go home and dive into a thick novel, but the day had only just begun. After taking a deep breath to regain his composure, Jude decided to try and figure out where he was supposed to go.
Approaching the nearest student, Jude tapped him/her on the shoulder and introduced himself. "Hey, Jude's my name; I just transferred here. Do you know where I can get a class schedule or something?"

Another sour day had shown itself to the present. Dragging footsteps, foggy vision, and constant yawning. Ah yes the start of another morning in school. With his messenger bag over his shoulder Shouyo walked through the gates of school like a diligent individual, not late or too early. Just the right amount of time to make it to his seat before the teacher would. He was feeling a lot sleepier than usual with a heavy yawn escaping his lips. If only he didn't stay up last night to watch a particular thriller film he came across at the audio video store while getting his mp3 fixed. But here we are.
He looked up and saw the usual. Kids just as tired as he was making there march to hell, kids that apparently got along already chattering away or those special ones that already started a fight before the first bell. He really didn't understand where all there energy came from. Why fight in the morning of all times anyways? It'll tire you out for the rest of the day. Suddenly as he was in thought a light tap came across his shoulder. While pulling down his headphones Shouyo turned his head a little surprised anyone would approach him so early on in the day.
A new transfer student? What an unfortunate soul. But at the same time, the way he talked was pretty polite. He didn't look like a criminal at all. He might've just been one of those guys with a good face but a sadistic soul. Shouyo yawned a little again before speaking up. His question as well... seemed ... dumb.
"....you came to school without knowing your classes?"

The boy who turned to face Jude didn't appear to be like the thugs that Jude had been with on the bus to school. Sure, the boy looked like he could use some sunlight and a good night's sleep, but his eyes held no ill intent.
"...You came to school without knowing your classes?" the pale boy asked. Embarrassed, Jude scratched his head and laughed nervously. "Uhh well you see, the thing is that I'm not really supposed to be here. What happened was--you know what, it doesn't matter. I just wanna get my schedule so I can go to class. The vibe here is kinda weird, but when all's said and done, everyone still wants to graduate...right?" Jude trailed off as his eyes drifted towards two other students exchanging a flurry of punches. Shit. This is some weird high school.
Noticing that the pale boy appeared to be falling asleep on the spot, Jude hurriedly interjected, "Oh! I never, uh, got your name. What should I call you?"

The boy sheepishly laughed off his comment and scratched his head. His behavior was that of a friendly kid that just started a new school. Almost as if ready for a nice walk to class, a beautiful lecture then make his way home to his loving family and start the cycle over. And other strange comment. He wasn't suppose to be here? What a strange way to put it. Everyone at PHS was suppose to be here whether they liked it or not. You do a crime and its here or behind bars. No one transfers in by accident or cause they want to. Shouyo looked at him a little strangely.
"...did your transfer papers get mixed up? Everyone's here for a reason. You aren't lost or anything?"
The words that left the boys mouth were getting stranger and stranger. Of course the vibe here wasn't the typical lovely air of high school. It was a juvenile detention center in the form of a school. Graduation? The last thing on anyones mind was a diploma. Yes they all wanted to get out of here. But not to get an education and start getting a proper job in the real world.
"uh... sure... if thats how you want to put it..."
Shouyo rubbed his eyes and yawned once more but before he could collapse on the front grounds the kid interjected with a fiery introduction. They just met and yet he was already ready to get to know Shouyo. People don't usually want his name, just want him out of the way. But looking at him, he seemed harmless. In a way... clueless.
"It's probably better to introduce yourself first.... or not at all... here honestly.... Shou is fine...."

"Shou, huh? Nice to meet you. I'm Jude, if you didn't catch it the first time."
Although this new acquaintance gave Jude a funny look, the conversation seemed to be going just fine. Jude didn't come to school looking to make friends, but he wasn't looking for a fight, either. After all, the driver of the bus did mention that roughhousing was punishable. At that moment, the brawl that had been transpiring nearby ended abruptly. The victor had knocked the other unfortunate soul to the ground with a swift leg sweep. Both combatants looked worse for the wear.
Turning back towards Shou, Jude continued, "A hell of a mix up. One minute I'm taking a test in the place of some rich idiot, and next thing I know, I'm being carted away with a bag over my head. Yup. So anyways...why are you here? You don't seem like the dangerous type."
Jude would usually zone out and retreat into his own mind during a conversation with others, but he was interested in this strange new place and the students who inhabited it. Seeing as he was stuck at PHS #552 for the time being, Jude decided that he might as well do what he did best: learn. Luckily, this Shou fellow seemed like he could be a valuable source of information. With some luck, Jude might even be able to find his place in this chaotic ecosystem.

Jude. Oh right, he did say his name. Right off the bat as well. But that was also the start of the conversation where Shouyo was trying not to blank out. It takes a while from the start of the day till Shouyo can fully communicate with others... if at all. Fully aware and conscious. Shouyo looked to the side as the fight ended. He only glanced at them from the side, not wanting to be noticed for staring. After all, one funny look can get you 10 enemies. There seemed to be a winner but honestly in ways they both looked pathetic. He merely clicked his tongue in annoyance at the bothersome events he had to witness before even getting to his first class. Shouyo merely turned back to focus on Jude.
A test for some rich kid and now he's at PHS. Of course such things are punishable. But not severely enough to be placed here. There was probably more to it but if he wasn't willing to say it himself why pry? But he had to admit, he wanted the missing links, just because his story seemed a little too off... On the other hand himself?
".........is that how things.... usually go for you? .... Well me.... I guess wrong place, wrong time kinda thing. It's my fault too.... getting caught."
Dangerous type? Shouyo? Certainly not. Well in a sense not. Dangerous like he can knock you out with a punch and is a hostile sociopathic student? Nope. But he did have his own bag of tricks. But Shouyo wasn't really the type to use them for his own deeds and be evil. Unless he was getting paid for it. But he certainly didn't go out and looks for jobs either. TLDR. Jude was right. Nonetheless Shouyo was in PHS... just like him.
"You as well. Should careful though. Lot of innocent faces here that could tear you apart. In my opinion if you want to learn and graduate like a normal student.... well first that's impossible but if you wanted to try and pretend you're normal. Its probably best not to be so .... present."

"It's probably best not to be so .... present." Jude pondered what Shou might have meant by this statement. There seemed to be two types of people at this school, the ones who fought and the ones who kept quiet. Perhaps Shou was advising Jude to avoid approaching others in case they happened to be the fighting type. Currently, Jude had no way to differentiate between the 'innocent faces' and the truly innocent--that is, if anyone here was truly innocent. Jude realized that his reason for being at 552 was hardly believable compared to everyone else's backgrounds. That might have been why Shou chose not to go into great detail when asked about his own story.
Still, Jude saw no reason not to talk openly with the bespectacled boy."Yeah, luck hasn't been on my side in the last few years. So what do you mean by present?" Jude asked. "And come to think of it, you could be one of those innocent faces that you mentioned. How come you decided not to tear me apart? Or is it too early in the morning for that?" Jude grinned, and in the back of his mind, he really hoped that Shou wasn't some sort of closet psychopath.

Luck wasn't on his side. Well maybe he did fit in after all with the school. Nobodies luck ran good around here. They all got caught after all. Same with Shouyo, he wasn't the best luck charm in life. His luck must have really turned sour if her was in here just because he fluked some test for a rich kid. Especially around NYC. Whatever borough he was in, it was probably a matter of time before they realized this kid wasn't the one suppose to take the test. But then again he did get bagged in the head. Probably more to do with that story then a simple F on a test. Shouyo furrowed his eyebrows when Jude didn't really get his message.
"......I guess..... don't.... exist.... school's a lot easier if you don't make a seen or be noticed everywhere you go....I guess that's depending too..... if everyone knows your name its either real good or real bad....."
Maybe that's just Shouyo. Being noticed wasn't really something he was all that into. Getting by being invisible, doing his own thing and let's things run their course by themselves was like how he liked to run things. If his school days could pass like that, peacefully how nice would they be. Energy conservation was always a priority. Shouyo's furrowed eyes brows relaxed into ....... thought....
".... why would I tear you apart... theres no merit in that... plus..... why waste my energy...."

Based on what he said about not being seen, Shou seemed like the type of person to sit back and go with the flow. It made a lot of sense given how inclined this kid was to fall asleep on the spot. Jude understood how that felt. Can't blame people for dozing off if you're not good at making things interesting. Shou probably felt that most, if not all of 552's inhabitants, were quite boring.
But it was Shou's last statement that alarmed Jude. "Why waste my energy...." he had said. Am I really that insignificant to him? Jude wondered. He gulped as he thought, What if everyone here is so far above me, and that's the only reason that they haven't killed me yet? Such notions were unfamiliar and terrifying. Taking a deep breath and counting to 10, Jude reset his mental state. There was no use for wild conjectures now. He had been here for only a few minutes.
Jude decided it best to assume that Shou words were not meant to be a threat, and left it at that. "I know, right?" Jude replied with a half smile. "Literally no one would notice if you decided to snuff me out right now." Jude was comfortable with making that joke because he was convinced that even in the improbable case that Shou was a mass murderer, he was too sleepy at the moment to commit any serious crimes. So Jude continued, "Listen, thanks for advice. I'm gonna head to the office and try to sort things out. If you ever need someone to finish your homework, hit me up. You look smart enough but I'm sure you'd rather be sleeping, hehe."
Trust is given, not earned. That was Jude's way. The fact that he could laugh a little with this new acquaintance was evidence of this philosophy. After all, talking to make enemies in the end would be foolish, and to stay strangers would be pointless. Jude wasn't too worried about whether Shou would think this attitude naive. The first person that Jude talked to at 552 didn't try to beat him up, and that made Jude happy enough.

Jude's half smile made Shouyo grimace. He probably said something he shouldn't have again. He had a knack of putting things the wrong way that were always misinterpreted. His way of talking was probably why he didn't have much friends to begin with, why everyone picked a fight with him. That's why staying invisible and not saying much was the best thing for him. Maybe the kid took the advice in a different direction. Or probably something else he said. On another note? Snuff him? Maybe that was it. When Shouyo said its a waste of his energy he literally meant its a waste to even try and throw in a punch, if he could. He didn't know how strong the kid was and he didn't really want to find out.
".... I had no reason to fight you... If I even did.... i probably wouldn't....or... can't..."
The kid started to leave as Shouyo muttered his last words. But as he turned and said his goodbyes he had a refreshing air to him... how rare. He didn't seem like the type to be get along with Shouyo. Or otherwise he would just tire Shou out. But still he did feel a little okay with him. Well at least he didn't seem all that bad, innocent even.
"Hey! Office is on the first floor of the main building... just swing a left.... oh... another thing.... try to avoid the pillars."
The last advice was a mere whisper and whether he heard Shouyo or not didn't really matter. But that was another thing Shouyo tried to do here, avoid the pillars. They cause way more trouble then needed. With that Shouyo was plugged into his music again and headed toward his class once more.
