A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

Anthony shifted on his seat uncomfortably, he could tell there was an awful atmosphere building up in the auditorium. The black haired student got up and decided to get some fresh air, otherwise he could die from the tension. However, he saw one of boys up in the podium looking directly at him. Or, more precisely, at the person right behind him. Anthony turned, his eyes focusing on the pink haired girl with a frown in the back row. She seemed at least one year younger than him. Suddenly, he extended his hand, now holding a purple rose that came from God knows where, to the girl, who looked up to him with confused eyes. "Such a beautiful lady shouldn't maintain this expression. It will ruin your precious face. Consider this an advice, and a present. Kehehehehe." Anthony took his leave, laughing. As soon as he got outside, the freshman took a deep breath. "Oh my God. Oh my God. I'm going to die. That girl's gonna kill me. I'm dead. dead, dead, dead and dead." He said trembling. That girl was scary. As soon as his eyes met hers, he knew it wasn't safe to prolong the conversation. Luckily, she didn't seem to have left her seat. Calmly, he walked back in and sat down again. Then, it hit him "Could she be... a Pillar?"

Takehiro would be one of the teachers ushering students into the auditorium and helping them find a place to sit. Quite honestly, he'd been thoroughly surprised by all of the accommodations the new school was offering - this auditorium alone looked like it belonged to an opera house or something extravagant, not a delinquents' high school. The change from the District was enough to put a smile on his face, however, and he wanted to show the students they had a safe place to be, here, unlike New York. Where that city demonized them all from the beginning, San Francisco was at least trying to show them they were welcome somewhere. "Hey there, kid," Takehiro put a hand on Felix Booker's shoulder as he saw the boy blasting his music. Memory served to remind Takehiro that last time he made this sort of entrance, his music was silenced and he was forced into a seat. "Turn that off when the assembly begins, yeah?" A smile and pat on the shoulder would be offered, before Takehiro made his rounds throughout the auditorium simply to make sure no students were being unruly.

This way is practically unguarded too... strange...
Valo had decided to arrive at the assembly a little later than Vivi, taking the time to walk around and scout out the area beforehand. Having not been at the previous assembly, but hearing of how it was, he wanted to make sure that they had an exit should anything go down in this one. But every single entrance he checked was rather unguarded, and it didn't look like they had a large force in waiting anywhere. He still didn't trust this sudden nice change that San Francisco gave them, but bit by bit, it started to look a little more legit.
After examining all the potential exits and entrances, Valo would take note of them as he walked into the assembly, finding Vivi up near the middle and sitting down next to her.
"Sorry I'm late."
Once inside, he took a look around at who else was in attendance. Seeing Amakusa, he grew a little nostalgic for the times when all he had to worry about was that guy arresting him for hacking into A.I.'s information databases. There were a few other faces he recognized, but what got to him most was seeing Zoe present, and his heart sank a bit. He wasn't sure what to make of that day just yet, and it took guts to show herself in public after what happened. He still remembered the girl he made the promise to, and wanted to believe that she was still in there somewhere. He was also worried of what Macht might do if he saw her.
Inside isn't much more in ways of security... maybe I'm just paranoid.
He certainly looked uneasy, but he hoped it wasn't too apparent.

[nospaces] i think there's a flaw in my code you're part of a machine, you are not a human being. Seated in the back row, Umbra made sure to sit near a door should anything happen. She decided to attend this assembly, since she was now a student of #552, looking for any sign of the ones who wronged her family. She knew she couldn't find them just by looking at them, but perhaps she could meet and get close enough to someone to learn more and maybe learn a weakness.[break][break]
"I do find speeches rather boring." She mused to herself quietly, not looking forward to sitting around listening to some fool she didn't care for babble on and on. But if it's the school captain, maybe she ought to pay attention to see what kind of man he was, as he could prove to be a threat later on.[break][break] [attr="class","gasoline"] | notes & tags go here. link example |

Macht would look over to spot Ira just after she showed up, returning her wave with one of his own, along with a rather weak smile. Pushing himself back up to his feet, he allowed her to take his arm and followed her back into the main area. He stopped just outside the door, however, tugging on her own arm just lightly enough to get her to stop as well while he held up a finger and pulled out his cell phone. Kazuya was on the stage, Ira was right here, so now all they needed was Lexington . So, Macht would shoot him a quick "Hey, where are you?" text, pocket his phone, then re-enter the house with Ira. As she would take her seat, he would nod to her and Kazuya and once again assume his position at the podium. "Ladies and gentlemen," he started simply, to get everyone to settle down. He remained quiet for a short period afterward, in which the teachers would be quieting the students in a method completely unlike that of the Apostles from the previous assembly. Rather than utilize force, the teachers simply stood by and hushed the students as proper figures of authority would. "Students of Public - or now, Private High School #552." When everything was finally settled, he began his speech. "I think it goes without saying, the past year in New York City has been the worst in virtually all of our lives, for those of us who have transferred over from the District. We've seen more war and chaos than anyone our age has any right to, and we've lost friends and family along the way. The journey has been treacherous, and the blame for the actions of others has fallen on our shoulders time and again... such is the burden we carry for being considered nothing but a school of delinquents - gangbangers, thieves, thugs, you name it, it's all the people of New York City saw in us. And while our time there had become hazardous, with our basic rights as human beings stripped away from us on a whim of the public... we've been given a second chance. A second home.
"Here in San Francisco, we have been welcomed with open arms by a people who know our dangerous history. They're well aware of the incredible feats, good or bad, that we are capable of performing without even a second thought. When the walls of the District came down, no one else was willing to take us - and thus, we owe it to them, the people of this city, to better ourselves. We need to show them we're not the monsters the people of New York City made us out to be; that we're not to blame for the actions of RIOT, the FEAR monsters, Orochi, or the Apostles; that, despite the negative stigma with which we're viewed by the entire world, we are not all bad people. Seize the opportunities handed to us by these people: pursue your education and a chance to live freely here on this island or out in the city, accept the higher education they offer us, and don't taint it with the chaos that drove our old school to ruin. You're better than that. We are better than that. As your School Captain, I beseech you... take advantage of this second chance. Make the most of it."Macht wanted nothing more than to have all of these people find a way to live happily, especially after all they'd been through, but he couldn't just tell them to forgive and forget. Not while he saw the woman who killed his brother sitting right before him. So, while he told them everything he could manage from the heart, he also needed to add one other thing that wasn't quite as positive. Still, he spoke with confidence that the words that left his lips were the ones he needed to say. "And remember... if the walls of the District taught us anything, it's that we cannot allow ourselves to be made victims. Along with this second chance we are being given the opportunity to defend ourselves against those who would wrong us, even if some of those who wronged us currently stand beside us as brothers and sisters." As he spoke now, he looked directly at Zoe. "We owe it to those of us who didn't make it out of those walls to never let ourselves be held down by an oppressive power ever again. The moment our freedoms are threatened, we need to know we can stand together and fight whatever comes at us. We need to do it as the family these trials and tribulations have made us into."And, with that, he figured he'd done enough speaking, particularly as he'd felt a buzzing of his phone in his back pocket he assumed to signify the arrival of the Headmaster. About time. "And without further ado, I would like for you all to meet the man who allowed us to regain our freedoms in the first place. Your new Headmaster, Doctor Markus Lazarus Eckhardt."Pointing up from the podium with his prosthetic hand, Macht signaled to the entrance of the auditorium, where the doors would be seen opening one final time, and a large man made his appearance.

Post by Markus Eckhardt on Mar 15, 2016 13:06:02 GMT -5
[OoC: Said one post per round in the beginning, but I'll be changing that slightly. Since Markus will allow people to address their concerns, go ahead and post whenever you feel it is appropriate (that's not to say you should clutter the thread, hence "appropriate") and I'll post his responses as things get brought up.] Right on time, the doors to the auditorium would open and Markus would hear his name being sounded out by the School Captain at the podium. He smiled kindly, walking down the center aisle toward the stage. He waved to the students as he'd approached, shaking the hands with several teachers and offering casual greetings. Admittedly, this took a little longer than he'd expected, and he left Macht standing at the podium for an awkward length of time as he tried to shake hands with every teacher on the way to the stage. When he realized how long he was taking, a small look of surprise over took his face and he rushed upward, laughing lightly as he did so.
"Woah, holy-" he spat out quietly as he finally actually looked at Macht. Eyes wide, though that smile still laid upon his lips, he approached Macht and whispered as he drew near and shook the School Captain's hand. "When the hell did you get so tall? Last time I saw you I'm pretty sure I was taller... Good lord."
"Sir, you're speaking into the microphone," one of the crowds quietly remarked, to which Markus quickly corrected himself and ushered Macht into a seat.
"Right. Excuse me," he laughed calmly, adjusting the microphone and taking his spot at the podium. "My name, ladies and gentlemen, as I'm sure you heard from your School Captain, is Doctor Markus Eckhardt. Now, a little bit about me, so you know who you're dealing with... I went to a school much like New York's 552 when I was a kid, and served as its School Captain. I'm very much aware of the negative opinion attached to places like it, and all my life I've been working towards giving the children society views with this unwarranted bias a fair chance at life. The school you see here on this island was built, from the ground up, by people who share that mission, and I would very much like for all of you to know that we will be taking a vastly different approach with educating you than the so-called "Apostles" did. There will be no "regulators," no "enforcers," simply the teachers and the Pillars you see before you. Their positions are to be respected, of course, but they will not be used as an excuse to take your rights as human beings away from you."
Markus grinned wider, taking a moment to adjust his tie, before speaking again.
"Now, that's enough about me and mine... the main purpose of the assembly today is to address any questions or concerns you all may have. I understand the last time you were all gathered in an environment like this, well... It wasn't particularly pretty. So, please - ask any and all questions you may have, and I will address them.

Though this might just be the ending Of the life I held so dear But I won't run, There's no turning back from here
Bianca rushed into the auditorium, dragging Sirynn along with her by the arm. Having a new start in a new place, especially a city that she loved the concept of as much as San Francisco, just really clicked with her. She wanted to do everything right this time around, and she wanted to take her life and education and future more seriously. That meant attending things like this on time, whiiiich she failed to do. "Goddangit, we're late!"She would plop down in the nearest seats they could get, sitting Sirynn down next to her as she tried to pay attention through the speeches. Having been branded a monster in New York due to her ties with Riot, the once white haired girl dyed her hair a darker color to look more 'normal' so she didn't get any unwanted attention. She was done with the days of being targeted and attacked because of her brother... who was incidentally sitting back at home because he didn't feel like listening to people talk, so he decided to sleep in. She grabbed a couple donuts on the way here, and she proceeded to shove one in Sirynn's mouth. Listening to both speeches, she would be in awe of how the new headmaster seemed to be so trusting in them, and he seemed a whole lot nicer than what they had to deal with in New York. It really caught her off guard. Bianca would raise her hand, wanting to ask him a question. "Are the people in this city as cool as you are though, mane? I mean, people hadda habit of attacking us right in the streets if they knew we were from 552. We're not going to be walkin' targets here too, are we?"Improper speech aside, she was tired of getting randomly jumped or almost shanked on a daily basis.

Seated in the very back of the auditorium, Sol sat in one of the padded chairs with his arms folded across his chest, the sunglass lenses he wore hiding his eyes from view, and yes, he was wearing a pair of sunglass lenses... indoors. Having seated himself as close to the door as possible, ending up beside a girl with white hair, giving him a swift exit should anything occur, the only reason he was attending this assembly, was to scope out just who exactly the Headmaster was, as well as the School Captain and Pillars. Though he had arrived late, just after the Headmaster had finished his speech, he had managed to catch the last part of it, which was opening the floor up to the students and allow them to ask him any and all burning questions they had.
Certainly a difference already he could tell, as evident by the whispers from some students seated in front of him, who were apparently from the former Public High School #552 in New York City. The last assembly they had been in sounded vastly different from this one it seemed. His eyes trained on the Headmaster from behind his dark lenses, as long as the Headmaster and the Pillars did not become a thorn in his side and prove to be a threat later on, then there would be little trouble from his end. Though there was always the chance they would, as such, Sol would make sure to observe and watch all of them closely.

Location: Auditorium Time: ?? : ?? : ?? Missions: Tell everyone in the Auditorium a few words of wisdom
Busting through the doors of the Auditorium, I started yelling as I rushed to go to the stage.
"WAIT, WAIT, LET ME TALK TO THE ALL THE PEOPLE HERE. I NEED TO TELL THEM SOMETHING!"
Going up the steps, I would just stay some distance away from all the people that where on the stage as well. I didn't want people to rip me to shreads when I just got the best news of my life.
"You go ahead tho, I'll just wait till you guys are done with the whole main course, but please do give me some time to talk at the end of whatever your doing."
I looked at all the people that were watching me probably commit the stupidest thing anyone has done since we got here. I wasn't nervous nor was I scared one bit. I've been the center of attention for some time....well back in New York and beat up a million times, but look at me, I'm still going strong.

little did bianca know... she was dragging an unconscious sirynn with her. sirynn was much too sleepy at the time to actually wake up for the assembly, so when bianca wasn't looking she would throw on a pair of sunglasses (conveniently with a mustache attached to it) so that no one would be able to tell that she was asleep.
she would be plopped into a seat but would sink down, her head resting on her own chest. a donut would be crammed into her mouth and sirynn would chew on it. she was a pro sleep-eater so it was nbd yo. a couple soft snores would emit from her donut-filled mouth. she was pretty darn KO'd.

Orion watched as the school captain returned with... Ira? Huh. So she's apparently a pillar, fun. Ira took her position at a chair while Macht stepped up to the podium and droned out a speech. Orion barely paid attention. Idealism had lost it's novelty years ago... All well and good to preach, but it isn't often upheld. Although he did appreciate the sentiment behind being the ones to provide his higher education, as he was taking advantage of that. Then the captain introduced the Headmaster, a man by the name of Doctor Markus Eckhardt. Orion, like everyone else in the assembly, directed their attention to the doors and watched as a man walked in, shrouded from Orion's view due to the sunlight behind him, so he couldn't get a clear picture.
Orion watched neutrally as the man jokingly advanced, speaking with each and every teacher and awkwardly leave the poor captain, who was evidently not much of a talker, just hanging there behind the podium. Finally the poor kid was replaced by the headmaster, who turned to the crowd cheerfully.
And Orion's blood ran cold. No fucking way.
Orion barely heard the man's speech, registering it as something to think about later, before the good doctor ended by opening the assembly to questions. Orion waited a moment for some girl to ask hers and be addressed (and for some dumbass to run in screaming about how he needed to talk to people) before he stood up, placing one foot on the railing to give himself even more height and to lean over it slightly, drawing attention to himself.
"Doctor Eckhardt, we all do appreciate what you are doing for us. I was wondering, since you said you're an ex-school captain, if there were any newspaper clippings or anything that you know of describing your no doubt heroic and Valorous deeds? Examples to show that you can defend us in a crisis situation, if it comes down to it?"

[attr="class","bsmain"] [attr="class","bsimg"] [attr="class","bslyric"] [attr="class","bslmarg"]THERE'S SOMETHING DEEP INSIDE[attr="class","bsltmarg"]THAT KEEPS MY FAITH ALIVE[attr="class","bsbody"]Valo listened to Macht's and the headmaster's speeches intently, taking in every word. Macht's words resonated with what he felt too, while the headmaster helped him feel somewhat at ease. If Macht was taking this place as legit for what it seemed to be, maybe he could let his guard down as well. He couldn't help but feel that paranoia naging at him, that all of this good will eventually fade and become the nightmares that they had previously encountered in New York City. Nothing was ever that easy, after all. Huh? That's a really word to emphasize... Valo thought as one of the other students put stress on 'valorous', it had to be a coincidence, since there's no way that what he was looking into would just pop up here and now right in the open. They were so far from New York City, and his hunt into the mysterious of Project VALOR had to be cut short as a result. Still, the mention of the word, and the appearance of the headmaster... it seemed all so familiar, and not at the same time. After everyone asked their questions, Valo would raise his hand, waiting to ask a question of his own when the opportunity arrived. "I understand that you see a lot of faith in us and that you believe in second chances, but... why us? What made you have a different opinion from the rest of the world? Do you really trust that we won't shake your faith in us? Trouble seems to follow wherever we go, so what happens if you're wrong about us?"He didn't want them to prove otherwise. He wanted nothing more than peace and a second chance at life, and this place looked like it would provide just that. But he also wanted the headmaster to know just what he was dealing with when it came to 552. Riot, Orochi, FEAR, it all found them, not the other way around. Just being 552 students painted a huge target on their backs. @tag x words x notes [attr="class","cred"]MADE BY VEL OF WW + GS[newclass=.bsmain]width:400px;background-color:#fbfbfb;padding:20px;border:solid 1px #eee;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsimg]width:400px;background:url('http://i.imgur.com/eq2rYd1.png');height:200px;border-bottom:solid #333 10px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslyric]font-size:20px;color:#333;font-family:georgia;text-transform:uppercase;text-align:left;padding:10px;line-height:30px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslmarg]margin-top:71px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslmarg span]font-size:38px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsltmarg]margin-top:-5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsbody]font-size:10px;color:#333;font-family:verdana;text-align:justify;padding:20px;line-height:20px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsbody span]font-size:9px;text-align:center;line-height:20px;opacity:0.9;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred]text-align:center;font-size:6pt;color:rgb(132, 132, 132);letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;margin-top:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred a]color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-size:6pt;letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;[/newclass]

Damn, late again.
Lexington continuously repeated that same phrase in his head as he stepped out of his truck and jogged across the parking lot towards the auditorium. He slung his tuxedo jacket over his left shoulder and slide his left arm right in. The pillar's left pocket vibrated and he quickly retrieved his phone. A text from Macht! "Hey, Where are you!" DAMN, once again Lexington managed to arrive five minutes after the party starts. He made it to the front of the auditorium and was just about to open the door when he realized that everyone would stare him down the moment he opened the door. So, quickly the athlete sprinted all the way around the building to get to the auditoriums back door and he quickly slid in through the double doors. "Schwifty" He said to himself, before he crept from behind the stage curtains, everyone's attention focused on the hysterical kid and the new Headmaster. Without a peep, Lexington did the top button and undid the bottom two of the three buttons. He took a seat between Kazuya and Ira, the pillar looked out toward all the students. "Ah, damn that's a lot of kids..."
Lexington looked down and began to dabble his thumbs as the headmaster spoke. He had to resist the urge to pull out his phone and check every single social media outlet he had. Already took his instagram photos before he left his dorm, meaning that was already taken care of. So, Lexington slumped down in his chair a little and let his right leg slowly shake from side to side. "You guys owe me, if something fucked up happens anytime soon, y'all gotta cover my back, sack and my rack when I go in guns ablazing." Lexington said to his fellow pillars, last time Lex had to take on an army and he went down fighting like a one man army.

Three questions, one late Pillar, and one boisterous boy who claimed he had something to tell everyone there. Markus simply smiled, holding up his index finger to calm Alex for a moment, then began to address Bianca's and Valo's questions. He could greet Lexington, but he didn't wish to draw attention to the man and his tardiness.
"Not everyone will be as kind as the faculty on the island, of that I can assure you. That said, we are doing our best to change the public opinion surrounding all of you, to make certain the day when you all are greeted, rather than exiled, from the public is a close one." In other words, he had no way of knowing if the rest of San Francisco would be quite so welcoming, and he had no power to force them to be. That would be the answer to Bianca's question.
"As for you in the back," Markus would look over toward Orion, brow cocked as to imply curiosity at the inflection used. "There are records of my time both as the School Captain of PHS #774, and my time as a Dragon, neither of which document any of what I did as "heroic" or "valorous," not by any means. During my high school days, the public viewed me with the same negativity they currently view all of you. That said, should you wish to obtain information as to my history, a simple Google search should suffice." Markus would quickly move on to Valo afterward, and he would be the second person in a row the Headmaster recognized.
"And you, Mr. Morei... I have faith in you all because I, and many of the ones who built this home for you, were once where you all are now. I know, with absolute certainty, that my faith will remain unshaken, because I went through very similar conditions. Simply because trouble follows you, does not mean you are to blame. The attacks from RIOT, all the fault of a gang completely unaffiliated with #552. The FEAR attacks happened all throughout the city, and just like the attacks from Orochi, you were only there to stop them, not to incite them. How the public fails to see this, I do not know, but I see it clear as day."
Markus smiled kindly, and a few of the teachers within the crowd nodded or clapped in approval of his responses. He was, without a doubt, a vastly different man from Luca Walker, and he intended to make it clear to these students. Of course, right now all he had to offer them was a plethora of kind words and good intentions. Soon enough, they would see him walk the walk.
And so, for now, he awaited further questions.

Well, somebody had to do the obligatory "..." post.
Kevin felt all kinds of uncomfortable sitting right up front...next to a girl. The situation wasn't made any better either when he took note of a few faces in the room, aimed right at the female he sat next to, none of which painted good pictures. Suddenly, he had a significant idea that these people knew something he didn't. At least one was a Pillar, and another was the School Captain...grizzly looking motherfucker, too. A glance was passed in Zoe's direction, and another went ahead to Macht at the podium. The display of power at the podium's expense was also noted, his eyes widening a bit at the spectacle.
If Kevin hadn't realized he wasn't just running with normal junior high punks before, he did now.
He used his time in between what he just witnessed and the point when Macht returned to take account of where he was. This was really happening...he was really in this school with hardened, rambunctious, possibly aggressive teenagers. All he did to get here was get into some scuffles, roll with some cowards who liked to jump people and got slapped with a bullshit charge. Kevin wasn't little and didn't give off an air of a pushover. If things got bad, though...was he ready?
He didn't have time to answer his own question once the Captain came back; Kevin straightened up in his seat, using his hands to comb his hair back as the address to the student body went underway. There was the typical 'we will do better but you have to also' on Macht's part, not like it made what he had to say any less important. There was a chance he carried as much weight in his words as he did in his massive frame. Just then, he passed the room's attention to another leader of the pack, one he hadn't considered yet: the Headmaster. If there was anyone the Pillars may answer to, it was him...although he made a pretty astute point that he would also be the face and voice of a student body that otherwise would look like a bunch of savages and charity cases that the world was still unsure about sparing.
Hopefully, the world (or at least, San Francisco) would see somebody other than the stupid asshole that just ran onstage. Kevin leaned forward, laced his fingers in between each other as he set his elbows on his thighs and slowly shook his head. Hopefully there wasn't anymore fuckery like this.
