"Well," Hemera said, "things certainly did get weirder after putting those orbs in the slots." She was addressing the blonde in the room. As the last orb had been placed, images had filled her mind. They were nondescript images, not being able to pick one image out of the lot. As soon as it had begun, it stopped and the room had darkened, leaving a clock like device lit on the ground. "Hmm..." She knelt down and caressed the smooth surface. "It does indeed seem like a timer. But to what? Our end? It couldn't be." The glow of the timer filled Hemera's eyes until it was all she saw. Tick...tick...tick.... They had been brought here for a purpose. They had to figure out what that purpose was now or they were going to be trapped here forever.

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X "Mon dieu," Ruby muttered, speaking for the first time in a while--seeming to have either been spacing out or completely ignoring when anyone had addressed her. She stared at the floor as the final orb was set in its place, and suddenly images flashed through her mind. The girl suddenly gave a small yelp of surprise, quickly walking backward and bumping abruptly against the wall, saying incoherent things in French. But the moment quickly passed, and she widened her eye in surprise as she was returned to the strange room that now had a dial of some sort on the floor. No, she hadn't returned. She'd been standing there for what could have been an eternity, or perhaps the past ten minutes. But all she was grateful for at the moment was that she wasn't seeing those... things anymore... She quickly ran forward and grabbed the blonde haired boy by his wrist, pulling him back and away from his path toward the clock. "Don't be reckless. Clocks are very delicate, I should know," she stated before letting go of him and taking a few steps back. She retreated back toward one of the walls, staying away from the other people. She'd said and done enough, as far as she was concerned. "A clock? No, a timer, is what they say. What does it time? Is it going to count down to something, or count up? We had a test to get here, and a test to open this clock thing. I bet it's another test. Destroying it seems pointless--at the very most perhaps tinkering with the massive thing might do something. Yet somehow I doubt it. A puzzle... or is it something else?" She sighed. "To continue we need to do something with this clock... Let's see... anything out of the ordinary about it, perhaps I could find a clue as to what we need to do? I'll figure something out, probably..." Tous les misérable sont enfants de D I E U? ULLA

WORD COUNT : 175 Fire: 137 dmg BY MINNIE OF GS please give it back, you screech & scream, "Well." Ira said cheerfully, as minuscule blue flames dancing on her fingertips coalesced into a bolt of sapphire-blue fire.
"Maybe it's a bomb and we are all going to die." She continued brightly, as she threw the bolt of fire right at the timer, amused by others' levity. It was irrelevant if it was a bomb; all that matters was that assuming if she could find a way out of here, she would leave, and it was as simple as that.
A timer was ominous enough to alert her of a possible, sinister implication, but at that moment, the dark-hair female was too impulsive to truly care. The carelessness was nostalgic enough for her to submit it to it, even if fleeting, and there were dangerously high chances for her to regret it in the near future.
For now, there was only one thing for Ira to say, and it's a nonchalant, and amused, "Fuck it." - - stop it already, quite the plea

Lifting his head up just enough to see two unknown faces enter into the room from two of the seven doors each of them had walked through, it would seem they had all seven gathered now. As the guy with a thick, French accent placed his orb into the final slot, the orbs would converge into one, sending a pulse out, as a series of random images began to flash through Kazuya's mind. He couldn't make out the faces of anyone in the images, and once they stopped, a large mechanism appeared in the middle of their circle, as the lights began to go out section by section. Kazuya remaining impassive to the whole thing, only one eye was visible, as it narrowed slightly beneath the shadows cast on his face. The mechanism in the center apparently a timer, according to the boy with blond hair, Kazuya would watch as both Ira and the blond boy attempted to attack the timer, though he highly doubted that was a good idea, or a very productive one.
If the puzzles all of them had gone through was any indication, brute-forcing was not the answer. If anything, Ira's and the blond boy's could've possibly made things worse. They would probably either have to figure out a puzzle, or simply wait patiently, like so many of them had been doing beforehand, until all seven of them were finally gathered in one place, but waiting for what, he didn't know.

Hemera/Aldritch/Ruby/Gerard/Jack/Kazuya/Ira: As the smoke cleared after Jack rushed forward and began stomping on the timer, followed by Ira throwing a bolt of fire, they would all see there was not a single scratch or burn on the timer. In fact, it looked as pristine as the day it was first crafted. The longer hand of the timer slowly moving, locking into place soon after, displaying the time as midnight, the sound of bells chiming would reverberate through the darkened room, as the environment would shift in an instant... for all of them. Each of them would find themselves partnered with another person, the group split up for the time being. Hemera/Ruby: Hemera and Ruby would wake up and find themselves in front of a cathedral, the sun just starting to set. The area looked peaceful enough, but that was probably the most worrisome part. No matter where they looked, they would see the area was completely devoid of life. With the stone bridge behind them destroyed, rendering them unable to head to the main land, they had no choice but to head towards the cathedral doors. Gerard/Jack: Gerard and Jack would wake up and find themselves near the edge of a cliff in a forest. When they walked out of the forest and reached the edge of the cliff, they would see a raised forest off in the distance. With nowhere else to go, it was clear the only lead they had was to head towards the temple. Kazuya/Ira: Kazuya and Ira would wake up and find themselves at the top platform of a stone tower. Once they had gotten their bearings, they would see they were in an abandoned city of sorts, mountains rising up from behind the city like titans. With no where else to go but down, there seemed to be little of interest in the city... except for the tallest tower in the distance, a stone dragon perched on top of it. I would take in a deep breath and let it out in a loud sigh. These children do not know how to handle a simple timer? Hitting it won't do. Stone, my dears. Stone can not be undone by simple minded children. I brought my hand up ans placed my fingers against my fore head. I brought my cane up two inches from the ground before slamming it back down. Dropping my hand back down, I began speaking in my native tongue: French.
"You simple infants! Do you not see that violence is getting us nowhere?"
Just after I had finished speaking the giant clock stopped moving. How odd. The room shifted and bells rang out. Interesting. Very interesting... My vision blurred and soon after I was unconscious. Wonderful. I awoke to an outside world. A forest, it would seem. Looking around, I'd notice a few things: It was just a boy and myself, we were in a forest near a cliff. Well, I supposed we had better start walking.
"I think we should start heading in that direction. The floating temples seem to be the only thing around here. That is, unless you'd like to remain here. In that case, I will venture out on my own."
I'd turn to face the temple and await an answer. Hopefully he'd get the idea pretty quickly that I would not wait here for too much longer.

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X Ruby stared up at the cathedral, hardly surprised by the sudden change of atmosphere. One minute she was in a strange clock place with a bunch of strangers, and suddenly she was in front of a medieval-looking church. Nothing really surprised her anymore, really. Still, she wondered if the setting had anything to do with her past... after all, she was more or less raised in a church nearly identical to it... Her violet eye trailed over to the other white-haired girl before looking back at the cathedral. "No, couldn't be... this would have to do with both of our pasts for that to be true, and I tend to doubt that that girl relates in any way to a church like this. Me? Oh sure. Her? Probably not. So I'd say this is likely just coincidence." She shrugged before starting to approach the cathedral with caution. "Come on," she stated as she walked forward. "There's nowhere else to go. And be careful. Just because we don't see any people doesn't mean there won't be traps." Ruby looked up at the massive doors as she started to approach them. She mentally added, "Besides. I wouldn't be surprised if this sick game of fate decided to take my sanctuary and turn it into a hell. The one place that was like a safe haven to me... ruined all because of whatever may lay inside? I'm sure of it. I'm sure whatever's going on wouldn't be so nice as to spare me of that. No, I'll go into a church that resembles my old home and I'll expect the worst, even despite it having been the only peaceful times of my life..." Tous les misérable sont enfants de D I E U? ULLA

| fifty words for murder Ira shuddered at the sight of the dragon. She knew that dark skies, ghost towns and ominous huge lizards peering at her as though she just kicked their deceased grandparents were never a good sign. Ever. There was a high chance that she might either a) die, b) die, or c) die. Turning around to give Kazuya a quick glance, she tried to make a joke about the dragon looking weird, but all that came out from her mouth was "Dragswau ahe wired." and a very serious nod. There was only one thing left to do, and like the fool in every horror movie, Ira extended a hand to Kazuya and walked towards the tall, tall tower, and leaving the whispers of a ghost town behind her. With every step she took, she increased her pace. After a minute, she would be on the verge of running straight to the tower, as her heart pumped faster and faster."I never thought I'd be spending doomsday with a Hyperion member." She commented without looking back to see if Kazuya followed, or even took her hand. If he did, she would be dragging him along, but aside from that, Ira's focus was on the dragon, and the dark, dark sky. stats lock ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- str : 05 | dex : 30 | con : 86 | wis : 105 | int : 147 | and i'm every one of them. |

The smoke clearing from both the blond boy and Ira's assault on the timer, Kazuya's visible eye would remain narrowed as the mechanism emerged unscathed. Bell chiming as the hand of the timer moved, locking into place, displaying the time as midnight, his vision would soon blur, before ending up unconscious. When he came to, he would find himself in another unfamiliar environment, though he was not alone. Slowly pushing himself up into a sitting position, he would glance over at Ira, before slowly roving his eyes around. Aside from the ominous gray skies, the giant stone dragon present in the distance, and the area completely devoid of any life, the place was not bad. Note sarcasm. Glancing over at Ira, he got what she said, but at the same time, had absolutely no idea what she said. Climbing to his feet, he would look at her, then casually glance down at her hand extended to him, then back up to her face... before taking hold of her hand.
Following after her as she made her way down the stone tower they had woken up in and towards the tower in the distance, by this point, he was more running behind her than following after her, her pace having quickened with each step she took. Flat out running to avoid being dragged by her, the dragon growing ever closer, before practically looming over them ominously, this can only go well. What awaited them however... he didn't know. His eyes shifting over to the left, he would see the other bridge connected to the tower had crumbled, meaning the only path to enter and exit was the one they were currently on. Hopefully if they ended up running into anything, they could handle it.
"... I could say the same. I never thought I'd end up with you."

Hemera/Ruby: As Ruby looked up at and approached the massive doors of the cathedral, she would hear a faint thudding sound, followed by the doors slowly creaking open. Once they had fully open, she would be able to see the interior of the cathedral. It appeared peaceful enough, but it was best she did not let her guard down. Aldritch: Aldritch would wake up and find himself in front of the very cathedral Ruby and Hemera had woken up in front of, and he would see one of the two approaching the doors of the cathedral not too far from him. There was only path available to him as well, seeing as the stone bridge behind him was still destroyed. Gerard/Jack: As Gerard turned to face the temple in the distance, he would see the faint glow of a blue light shining in front of the temple. While that happened, he would be able to just barely make out from the corner of his eye a raised platform of land, to his left, the starting point of the path to the temple. Kazuya/Ira: As Ira entered into the tower, Kazuya somewhat dragged by her despite his efforts to keep up behind her, the two of them would see two winding staircases, one leading higher into the tower, the other leading below the tower. They had a choice on which way they wished to go, though if they were observant, they would be able to make out the faint outline of a glyph carved into the baluster at the top of the stairs spiraling downwards.

FIFTY WORDS FOR MURDER ❝ "If we are fucked either way, I want to go to whatever place that allows me to make the quickest escape route." Ira mentioned as she proceeded up the stairs, utterly unaware of the glyph. She wasn't as observant as she should be, and Ira was extremely okay with that. After all, there was the whole 'ignorance is bliss' idea going on for the young girl, at the moment.
Without looking to see if Kazuya would follow her, she would make her way up the stairs as the nervousness in her grew. She chewed on her bottom lip as she walked, wary as to what might murder her at the very top.
It seemed to be a very common occurrence as of the late. AND I'M EVERY ONE OF THEM.

Giving the interior of the tower a once over as he entered... well, more half entered, half dragged, into it, his eyes would glance over to Ira as she began to ascend the stairs leading upwards into the tower. His eyes landing on the faint outline of the glyph as he gave the room one final look over, casually shoving his hands into his pants pockets, he would follow after Ira, making sure to make note of the glyph. If he was right, and he might be, that glyph would be important later on.
As he ascended the tower, climbing higher and higher, his eyes would constantly rove back and forth, keeping a watch out for anyone or anything that could potentially come swooping down and get the jump on them. His guard up, he just hoped there was nothing awaiting for them at the top of the stairs, but just to be safe, he would activate his Qi, as his eyes turned from gray to a sharp orange. As he was without his katana, seeing as he didn't exactly need it prior to being brought into... wherever they were, his Qi would make due.

"I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight, I've slept more than enough for today... The albino would say in a raspy voice as he was still groggy after waking up. In front of him was a cathedral and looking back he would see a broken bridge. "What a nice scenery" He would comment.
Standing up, he would then follow the two girls into the cathedral seeing how there was nowhere else to go. The interior seemed like an ordinary cathedral from the old times, except for its altar. Aldritch jumped over the short railings blocking off the altar and examined what seemed to be a sideways letter 'A' emanating a distinct orange glow engraved at the front of the altar, it glowed as if it was flaming, it sure did peak the boy's interest. "A is for Aldritch..." He murmured as he proceeded to touch the engraving.

Jack let out a sigh, something he'd been doing far too often of late. Perhaps he ought to have been surprised to suddenly find himself in a forest, but at this point, there was little that could really be called unexpected. When the strange became ordinary, one could only take what they saw before them and make do with it.
Which meant Jack would have to make to with a forest, a temple, and a french guy.
"Yeah, floating temple sounds good." He smiled. If they were going to get lost in some unknown land, they might as well make it fun. "Tell you what... I'll race you there. First one to the temple gets to decide where we go next!" With a whoop, he took off, charging straight towards the raised platform while looking ahead to try and figure out the way forwards from there (and to make sure he didn't run into any trees, because that was important too).

Protége, mon Dieu les M A L H E U R E U X Ruby slowly entered the church, her eye darting around. It seemed empty enough, but everything about it was off. It was too quiet--and though she knew the interior of Gothic churches like the back of her hand, she knew that even they had some sort of noise... some sort of... presence of life. Ruby started to cautiously investigate the proximity, looking around the church and trying to find anything suspicious or unusual--unusual than what she was already seeing, that was. Was somebody waiting for her? She truly hoped not--but just in case there was some sort of enemy or predator lurking around the church, Ruby stuck to the shadows as well as she could--softly padding her way around on the stone floor and careful to make little to no sound. What was she even supposed to do there? What was this whole game? Was it some sort of test? But, why? Why did it choose them? What did it hope to gain by "testing" them? Or was this not even a test--but some sort of sick game where they were the unlucky contestants that would be forced to play? Were they going to die? Would they ever get out? Was this a realm where they were forced to wander for the rest of eternity? Ruby considered heading up to the bell tower--if fate so let her, perhaps she would be able to find more up there. At least it would give her the clarity to think--but then, what did she need to think about? There was little to think of. It wouldn't matter... No, perhaps she wasn't supposed to even leave the room. Perhaps she was supposed to stay inside the inner church--it was quite possible the doors leading to the bell tower, the studies, and the catacombs would be sealed off. Ruby took in a deep breath. She couldn't handle it. Too much silence. Was she supposed to yell something out? Find something wrong and fix it? Go back to her past?--it didn't seem quite that way. Was she supposed to wait for an enemy to come by? Did she have to fight something? If so, she would rather have the advantage of being quiet and in the shadows, rather than yelling and giving her position away... should there be an enemy nearby... but... No, patience was key. Ruby knew this. And so, she would remain silent, careful, and observant. For now... Tous les misérable sont enfants de D I E U? ULLA
